Clean, tidy, warm atmosphered room & home. Every visit echoes this. Deeply impressed

Having moved my father to Elm Grove after a diagnosis of dementia, I have been so impressed with the care and dignity that Dad has been treated with. Staff have taken effort and thoughtfullness to find out what my Dad likes to eat, do or watch on TV. He has quickly settled in and, what is very important, has company throughout the day. His wishes are respected and I feel he is safe and cared for.

To get in, the home feels safe with a doorbell system and check in/out book.

Lovely Place to go to, to visit residents, staff very welcoming, always offer you a Tea or coffee. My Uncle is very happy Since moving in, a couple of years ago, So I'm happy cos he is happy. He loves a good singalong too. And loves his food!!

This review concerns a birthday party arranged for my wife who has been a resident for 2 1/2 years. Having booked a lounge to celebrate my wife's birthday I found that the efforts of all staff to ensure the success of the day were wonderful. Without any requests cakes, biscuits, coffee, tea were provided for all our guests. I was very impressed by the effort made on behalf of my wife to give her a happy day.

I would recommend this Carehome to anyone. The Care & attention given to my mother was excellent, All the staff were friendly & kind, & always a friendly smile. Nothing was too much trouble.

A longterm friend of our family, asked if I could support him finding a suitable care home. It was a new experience for me. I visited several homes and decided this one was the best. The resident has been at the home for three months. It has overall, been an excellent experience. The staff, at all levels have been professional, friendly, helpful and do a very good job with a smile. The management are excellent. The rooms are very good, well designed and of a good size, they are in a very good state, and are a good environment, light and airy. The rooms have a good level of sound keeping. The facilities are very good, with plenty of space. The gardens are very good. Everywhere is very clean, and when I toured the facility, the kitchen was well designed, very clean and tidy and the staff friendly. There were good choices on the menu, the food was well presented and the staff, helpful and offered to cut up the food. The facility felt safe and secure, entrance and exit were, well controlled, and visitors had to sign in and out. I am confident that I made the right decision.

I dont know how BUPA chose their staff but BUPA however you do it dont change it. Everyone here is perfect for their jobs.

We are always impressed by the high quality of care, the high standard of the accommodation and the care and attention given by the staff. I would recommend Ashley House to anyone who is considering their future care needs.

My mum seems happy and has taken part in many of the activities. The staff are all friendly, making a point to say hello each time I visit.

My Mum went into Ashley House for respite care in March and loved it so much she didn't want to leave!! Mum is thriving on all the social interaction and activities, she feels safe and secure and we, as a family, feel so relieved knowing that Mum is being well cared for and that she's happy. All the staff are very friendly and professional and are providing a high level of care for Mum, for which we are really grateful. Thank you to the team at Ashley House!

Caring staff, excellent food. Communication could sometimes be better to family but overall excellent with committed happy team. Garden is much improved and will be great in the summer. Having local community groups or schools in are enjoyed by all

Comfortable, helpful staff over a period of time, service slower but always helpful.

Our experience of Elm Grove is excellent. The staff cannot do enough for the residents and sometimes come in outside their working hours to give extra care and support when my father returned from the hospital. The Chestnut Lodge manager stayed on well beyond her finishing time to see my father safely return. My father has recently celebrated his 90th birthday. He was asked what he wanted for a special breakfast, and a member of staff brought in croissants and clotted cream on her day off. He was given a birthday balloon and made a special cake, and all the staff working on the day came and said happy birthday to him. We were also able to hold a party for the family in the front lounge of Elm Grove.

I can't say enough about the staff and the management of Elm Grove Care Home. Mum is very well taken care of and it's obvious they go over and above for her comfort, her well-being and ever changing daily requirements. With being across the Atlantic, we try to do a video call once a week, sometimes a challenge as Mum sleeps quite a bit and it's hard to coordinate a time, but the staff do their best. I am very pleased with the level of support and overall concern shown to my mum at the Elm Grove. My only concern would be the frequency of staff turnover. It's important that mum recognizes and is comfortable with consistent faces. Unfamiliar faces can cause trust issues and stress.

My mother and I were made most welcome on our introduction to Ashley House Care Home. Our first memory was the choice of food for lunch and dinner of that first day, and successive days, including breakfast. Introductions were made with all the staff, including management and nursing staff. The standard of care of my mother received was of a high quality.

Elm Grove is an excellent care home. It has a really nice atmosphere with a very friendly and professional staff, who genuinely seem to care. My mum is very well looked after.
