I found Ashley House Bupa Care Home to be welcoming + friendly - well run by a good small team. The staff assisted everyone + were on the whole a happy bunch - the culture of this care home is well carried by the management team and staff to meet the needs of the residents. "The Food was up to standard – Some adjustments can be made: less sugar, more whole meal, no junk food & more greens. Thank you + well done!

Annie Julie and Debbie ensured a smooth transition to Ashley house for respite care for my mum . Following a hospital operation she needed TLC and the staff all provided this along with fabulous, professional nursing care . Yes this is expensive ( all care homes are) but the peace of mind that a relative is being cared for is invaluable

My mother in law has been a resident in Elm Grove for a few years now.The care is exceptional and nothing is to much trouble.Always get an update from staff when we visit.A cup of tea or coffee is always offered .I am glad we chose Elm Grove to care for my mother in law.She is always happy .The staff in kitchen make sure the residents have a balanced diet to thir dietry needs.Would highly recommend. Management are fantastic as well nothing is to much troible.

My Mother has been at the Elm Grove Care Home For the past 10 Months and is so happy & content, never seems anxious or upset and is always praising the staff who are all amazing and caring and are always popping in for a chat which she enjoys, nothings too much trouble and they keep us all informed about any changes they need to make to her care. We could not be more happy that we were able to secure a room for mum at Elm Grove

Mum is very happy at Elm Grove, she is well cared for and is loved, They make her smile which is lovely to see. The staff are all wonderful and go out of their way to come and chat to us during our visits - would highly recommend Elm Grove, Whether it be for rest bite or long term care.

To whom it may concern, I have filled out this review form and the answers are her views, not mine and she was with me when we filled out the form. I realise I haven't filled it in correctly (ie: her signature) but she is 95 years old and 97% blind so struggles to write. On the whole she is very happy in the home and gets looked after very well. Its nice she has company more often now she is in the home. If you need me to fill in another form with mums signature, please email me and I will do that. Thank you.

Ashley House is a welcoming, friendly environment. The staff and management friendly and professional. Dad often says how good the staff are. The homecooked food is excellent. The location is good as it is easy to take Dad into the Abbey Grounds and town centre in his wheelchair.

Clean, tidy, warm atmosphered room & home. Every visit echoes this. Deeply impressed

Having moved my father to Elm Grove after a diagnosis of dementia, I have been so impressed with the care and dignity that Dad has been treated with. Staff have taken effort and thoughtfullness to find out what my Dad likes to eat, do or watch on TV. He has quickly settled in and, what is very important, has company throughout the day. His wishes are respected and I feel he is safe and cared for.

To get in, the home feels safe with a doorbell system and check in/out book.

Lovely Place to go to, to visit residents, staff very welcoming, always offer you a Tea or coffee. My Uncle is very happy Since moving in, a couple of years ago, So I'm happy cos he is happy. He loves a good singalong too. And loves his food!!

This review concerns a birthday party arranged for my wife who has been a resident for 2 1/2 years. Having booked a lounge to celebrate my wife's birthday I found that the efforts of all staff to ensure the success of the day were wonderful. Without any requests cakes, biscuits, coffee, tea were provided for all our guests. I was very impressed by the effort made on behalf of my wife to give her a happy day.

I would recommend this Carehome to anyone. The Care & attention given to my mother was excellent, All the staff were friendly & kind, & always a friendly smile. Nothing was too much trouble.

Clean & tidy building (home for lots).

A longterm friend of our family, asked if I could support him finding a suitable care home. It was a new experience for me. I visited several homes and decided this one was the best. The resident has been at the home for three months. It has overall, been an excellent experience. The staff, at all levels have been professional, friendly, helpful and do a very good job with a smile. The management are excellent. The rooms are very good, well designed and of a good size, they are in a very good state, and are a good environment, light and airy. The rooms have a good level of sound keeping. The facilities are very good, with plenty of space. The gardens are very good. Everywhere is very clean, and when I toured the facility, the kitchen was well designed, very clean and tidy and the staff friendly. There were good choices on the menu, the food was well presented and the staff, helpful and offered to cut up the food. The facility felt safe and secure, entrance and exit were, well controlled, and visitors had to sign in and out. I am confident that I made the right decision.

I dont know how BUPA chose their staff but BUPA however you do it dont change it. Everyone here is perfect for their jobs.

We are always impressed by the high quality of care, the high standard of the accommodation and the care and attention given by the staff. I would recommend Ashley House to anyone who is considering their future care needs.

My mum seems happy and has taken part in many of the activities. The staff are all friendly, making a point to say hello each time I visit.

My Mum went into Ashley House for respite care in March and loved it so much she didn't want to leave!! Mum is thriving on all the social interaction and activities, she feels safe and secure and we, as a family, feel so relieved knowing that Mum is being well cared for and that she's happy. All the staff are very friendly and professional and are providing a high level of care for Mum, for which we are really grateful. Thank you to the team at Ashley House!
