The first few weeks were difficult, as Mum didn't like being in care home- found it hard to adjust to new enviroment. However everyone was friendly kind and helpful, they did everything they could to make mum feel comfortable and welcome. It is lovely to see how much happier Mum is now- she is settled, enjoying herself and getting involved with activities. The home puts on a fantastic range of activities and encourages residents to take part which is wonderful to see. The care home itself is lovely, with great facilities, welcoming dining area, cafe & comfortable lounges. The beautiful garden is one of our favourite things- we have spent lots of time there as a family- it's been perfect getting outside and enjoying time together. It has been lovely getting to know the staff and other residents. We are so grateful for all their care, kindness and support.

My husband is well settled in Newdale Court at Bayford House; the routines and facilities allow him to thrive in a safe and predictable environment. The staff are lovely and warm, great with him, and the home runs efficiently.

I think our only quibbles would be that quality of the food is inconsistent - sometimes it's excellent, sometimes it's below par; and that staff are so busy that they don't always have the time to properly listen to, or interact with him.

The gardens around the building are beautiful.

Our time flew by and we are now home suitably restored by the care given to us.

I have just moved into Newtown Court and find it a fairly home full of fun & laughs with staff and residence.

The carers are all super friendly and take great care of Mum.

Best place to live ,best care home in reading. I have been in Beacher Hall for past three years. All mycomplex care is being met so well. I have tracheostomy tube ,peg tube. Staff are well trained and so caring .Thank you for providing me best care.

There are a lot of activities, planned by a highly-motivated team, to keep residents occupied.

This is my 12th wk at this care home. I have settled in well & finding my way. We all look forward to the activities & I find them good fun. The young staff are reaoo6 great & work very hard, also all the staff here whoever they are are a pleasure to have around, and have made new friends where would we be if we didn't have the staff to help make our life livable.

Moved from Bayford Nursing Home to Newdale Court - more independant living. Have a very pleasant new room & consequently am in a better frame of mind to participate with other residents & the activities staff, especially Athi, Anna, Lyn, Adersh etc. give excellent care.

Very friendly and a pleasant experience to visit.

As expected there are always going to be teething problems but once the staff get to know their residents these become fewer and far between. My father is happy and most importantly he feels safe.

I cannot praise the care + support at Thatcham Court highly enough - mum was extremely ill and given end of life but she is now walking round the home, joining in all the fantastic daily activities on offer and eating the most delicious food. All the staff without exception are warm friendly helpful and welcoming. I would recommend the home to anyone. I have time with my mum and no worries about her now.

Very happy with the all round care my Mum is getting,the food is good and it's nice that she can have something different if she chooses. It's lovely that the home offers lots of activities and encourages residents to mix with each other in the day room

But after a week or so it was clear that she was in good hands. She seems to be well liked. I take her home weekends and she sometime tries to hold a converstaion she hasn't done this for a few years. Well done.

My brother moved to Beacher Hall in February and since then his mental health has shown a clear improvement and he is happy with his care. His room is light and airy and he feels comfortable. Food is varied and good. The staff are attentive and all his medical needs are catered for. The physiotherapy has helped his mobility greatly. Overall we could not wish for a better place for him to recover from his stroke.

Very comfortable and friendly. Staff are looking after my family member really kindly. Food is ample in a pleasant dining area. Rooms are kept clean along with bathrooms. Families have peace of mind that their loved ones are safe and well cared for.

The staff are all very good, nothing is too much trouble.
