When my Dad was taken to Aylesham Court, I was upset and anxious about what lay ahead. Watching my Dad reach his end of life, was a deeply upsetting and distressing time, that I knew was not going to be easy.

The compassion, respect, and genuine level of care shown by every member of the team made

an immeasurable difference to us all. From the nurses and carers to the senior management within the nursing home, everyone treated my Dad with the care and dignity he deserved.

They cared for my Dad's physical needs and were dedicated in making sure he was comfortable and peaceful right until the end.

What touched us most was how they cared for us, too. They were patient in answering questions, gentle in guiding us through difficult moments, and always present whenever we needed support. Their kindness turned what could have been a time of fear and sadness into one filled with warmth, gratitude, and love.
We will always be thankful for the genuine care and compassion shown to Dad.

Extremely happy with the care my mother in law has received since coming to the home in April this year. Staff couldn't be kinder and have shown such patience and care towards her and us when we have had concerns or worries. Care is personalised and staff understand each resident on a personal/individual
basis.

Our grandma was in Aylesham court for about 18 months, her care was outstanding. The staffing team on the nursing floor are incredible. They loved our grandma and cared for her like she was their own! She could no longer cope at home and was very unsafe however since moving to Aylesham Court she was
the safest she could be thanks to the team. The unit manager and nursing team were always informative and kept us in the loop with how she was and any GP appointments etc. could not recommend Aylesham Court enough!

Mum has been a resident for 2 months. I have been very pleased with the care she has received on the nursing wing. The nurses regularly update me on her health and well-being. The care team are also excellent. Any health concerns have been flagged to her GP or the out of hours team swiftly to ensure
necessary medications or treatments are started without delay.
Overall the experience has been excellent and mum has settled well.

My parents moved into Ashby Court due to my mothers ill health and complex needs. My father chose to go with her although he did not need care at the time. After her death he stayed at Ashby Court until his death this year by which time he had been resident for 8.5 years.

The great strength of

Ashby Court is its care for the individual and flexibility within that care. My parents needs were vastly different but the staff did the nursing care of my mother whilst allowing my father to feel he was still looking after her. At the same time the staff made efforts to give him time off to leave the Home for meetings and activities in the town.
There was always open dialogue between myself the staff and and my father as to his care right up until his short final illness which was managed with respect for his wishes and in a dignified manner.
I always felt the staff cared about the residents and took the trouble to get to know who they were.
Five stars well deserved

My mother lived at Aylesham Court for over 4 years. Her needs were complex and needed a high level of care. The dedication all the staff displayed, ensuring mum was cared for, comfortable and happy was second to none. Sadly, mum passed away this June. The compassion, love, dignity, and respect the staff
showed to mum and the family during her final days of life was wonderful. The family are so thankful for the guidance, support and help the staff gave to us after mum's passing too. Thank you, Aylesham Court, for being a part of mum's family'.

My father has been at the carehome now for just over 3 months and I have to say it is a wonderful carehome. The staff are all very friendly, caring and always adding a little humour. My dad is very happy there and always commenting on the good food and attentive care. They have a very well managed entertainment
schedule which is varied and encourages family participation and visits. We viewed a few carehome prior to choosing and had not seen any of this high standard, it has not disappointed since. The staff made an exceptional effort to make my father feel welcome and at ease from the outset. I also cannot compliment the staff enough for their attitudes, effort and care. Always willing to make that extra bit of effort that really makes a difference to the residents and family visitors. Exceptional care home, well done and keep up the wonderful work you all do.

Mum has dementia and is cared for very well. Staff are professional but are very caring and patient. She is allowed to get up and go to bed as she wants. She may not always want to eat at the dedicated meal times, but she is always fed when she is ready. There is always food and drink available. She
participates in activities when she is able and enjoys the interactions.
Family are kept informed of any issues, promptly as they arise.
Notwithstanding the inherent confusion of mum's condition, she is happy and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for staff when helping mum. It's all on mum's terms, as she can cope, she is the centre of things.

My Mum was a resident at Ashby Court from December 2023 until her death there on 27th May 2025. During that period she was cared for wonderfully well. The staff catered for her needs diligently and well and my sister and I were able to approach staff to have questions answered whenever we needed. Mum
began her residency upstairs in the nursing unit but moved downstairs when her condition improved sufficiently and we were pleased with the way she was encouraged to take part in activities and communal mealtimes. As mum's condition worsened she was taken back upstairs in the last weeks of her life and was cared for with compassion and professionalism by the nurses and other carers. We were particularly grateful for the manner in which we were informed of mum's death and by the the care we and she received in the immediate aftermath. To conclude, we are very glad that mum spent her last months in such a caring environment.
