Ashby Court offers a wide range of care, including residential, nursing, dementia, convalescence and day care. The home also offers care to those living with Parkinson’s.

This purpose-built property has been designed with spacious lounge and dining areas, and residents are able to relax and unwind in scenic gardens that include tranquil water features, fruit trees and raised flower beds.

Bedrooms have en-suite facilities and have benefitted from refurbishment, with 24-hour call systems throughout.

Freshly prepared meals are tailored to individual diet and preference, with some ingredients coming from the home’s own vegetable patch and herb garden. Residents can choose to take meals in the privacy of their own rooms or in the dining room.

The activity programme aims to keep residents active and includes carpet bowls, bingo, arts and crafts and films. Local entertainers visit often and day trips are arranged to local sights.

Whilst going through an extremely distressing and difficult time, my mum has received the very best care and attention for all her needs. I honestly couldn't praise all of the staff at Ashby Court enough. This extends not only to my mum but to myself at this difficult time. The extremely high standards

Mum has been a resident for 2 months. I have been very pleased with the care she has received on the nursing wing. The nurses regularly update me on her health and well-being. The care team are also excellent. Any health concerns have been flagged to her GP or the out of hours team swiftly to ensure
necessary medications or treatments are started without delay.
Overall the experience has been excellent and mum has settled well.

My parents moved into Ashby Court due to my mothers ill health and complex needs. My father chose to go with her although he did not need care at the time. After her death he stayed at Ashby Court until his death this year by which time he had been resident for 8.5 years.


The great strength of

Ashby Court is its care for the individual and flexibility within that care. My parents needs were vastly different but the staff did the nursing care of my mother whilst allowing my father to feel he was still looking after her. At the same time the staff made efforts to give him time off to leave the Home for meetings and activities in the town.
There was always open dialogue between myself the staff and and my father as to his care right up until his short final illness which was managed with respect for his wishes and in a dignified manner.
I always felt the staff cared about the residents and took the trouble to get to know who they were.

Mum has dementia and is cared for very well. Staff are professional but are very caring and patient. She is allowed to get up and go to bed as she wants. She may not always want to eat at the dedicated meal times, but she is always fed when she is ready. There is always food and drink available. She
participates in activities when she is able and enjoys the interactions.
Family are kept informed of any issues, promptly as they arise.
Notwithstanding the inherent confusion of mum's condition, she is happy and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for staff when helping mum. It's all on mum's terms, as she can cope, she is the centre of things.

My Mum was a resident at Ashby Court from December 2023 until her death there on 27th May 2025. During that period she was cared for wonderfully well. The staff catered for her needs diligently and well and my sister and I were able to approach staff to have questions answered whenever we needed. Mum
began her residency upstairs in the nursing unit but moved downstairs when her condition improved sufficiently and we were pleased with the way she was encouraged to take part in activities and communal mealtimes. As mum's condition worsened she was taken back upstairs in the last weeks of her life and was cared for with compassion and professionalism by the nurses and other carers. We were particularly grateful for the manner in which we were informed of mum's death and by the the care we and she received in the immediate aftermath. To conclude, we are very glad that mum spent her last months in such a caring environment.

My nanna has been in this care home for the last 8+ years. The first couple of years also spent with my grandad who has sadly passed away. They lived together in a double room on the dementia unit which was very accommodating. I would often visit them both in the living room which was lovely and inviting
and the staff were always friendly. The staff made my grandads final few days very comfortable and peaceful for him which we are very grateful for. Nanna is now in the nursing unit and she has a lovely room with bright light and lots of pictures on her wall. I have always had a great experience with all of the nursing staff who seem happy to be at work and have a lovely relationship with my nanna. She is always dressed well and clean. The food is prepared to a high standard and smells great. I will always speak highly of this care home.

Always had a pleasant experience when visiting my Grandma. The care home is clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly. I've also experienced my Grandma getting great care when I arrived. It's a very secure safe space.

Her room has a large plastered patch on the wall that has been there for a year. Considering the cost of the room, I would expect redecoration. The staff are lovely and they lay on activities most weeks which is nice. The cost is incredibly high.
