Exceptional staff on the second floor looking after my Mom. Needs are met any problems are dealt with within 24 hours from the staff. Eggy/Julie are exceptional carers tending to my mom, taking time out to talk to her, in between visits and if they aren't too busy with other residents, activities are
here for all residents, and again Julie goes out of her way to see if my mom wants to participate. Food is good and plenty of choice again the two foremost mentioned can't fault or praise enough - unbelievable pair of staff.

Ardenlea Grove Care Home

Choosing a care home for a loved one is never easy. You want them to be somewhere where they feel safe, somewhere clean. Where the staff are friendly and also professional. Food that is nutritious, but also looks appetising and a room that is spacious, which you can turn into a home. Also, somewhere
that you, as their most frequent visitor, are going to be made to feel welcome, listened too and treated as the person who knows your loved one best.

I found all of this in a place called Ardenlea Grove, in Solihull.

I visited numerous times. All times of the day and night and not once was I made to feel uncomfortable. From Rachel on reception, Chryll in Finance, Egbert and his team of wonderful nurses & nursing assistants, John the maintenance guy and not forgetting Sanah the Manager. I met them all and not once did I sense any red flags. So the decision was made. And that's when the real fight began.

If you aren't self funding, sadly, there are many hoops you have to jump through with regard to the local authority, to get the home of your choosing. From funding, to the right equipment. But it was during this battle that any lingering doubts I might have had that Ardenlea Grove was the right place for my husband, was quickly demolished. Because my fight became their fight and the support I received, before my husband even set foot on the premises, was immeasurable. And here we are, 8 weeks down the line, with my husband happily looking at the squirrels & birds in the tree outside his window. With family pictures hanging on the wall. Clean, shaven and a delicious lunch ahead of him and the icing on the cake? Unlimited visits from the love of his life. Lucy, his beloved dog!

Do I recommend Ardenlea Grove? That would be a yes.

Reply from Natasha Burns-Leigh, Customer Service Advisor at Ardenlea Grove Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to write this outstanding review of our care home. We are blown away by your kind words! You quite rightly stated that there are many factors to consider when looking for the right care home for a loved one- location, food and cleanliness to name a few but what stands out the most about Ardenlea Grove is the people: our members of staff who are always willing to go above and beyond to make sure that every resident is well taken care of and that their families feel welcome! Thank you for recognising the dedication of our staff. We are looking forward to making many more memories with you and your loved one.

In my experience, the care I've seen is of a good standard. Staff are friendly & welcoming, & work hard in sometimes difficult circumstances. Both housekeeping & care/nursing staff are on hand if they are needed. Communication with family members is good & they seem to know their patients well. Activities
& entertainment are regularly provided. Thank you.

Ardenlea court has been caring for my Dad for over a year now and myself and my sister are very happy with the care that he receives there. The staff are lovely and caring and are always making extra efforts to keep my Dad happy, clean and comfortable. They have become friends as well as staff. The
home is always kept clean and professional, whilst still managing to keep a homely and non-clinical atmosphere. The visiting hours are very flexible, which supports me to visit my Dad after work and for my sister to visit regularly when she is in the UK.
The reception area and cafe are very welcoming and the receptionists are extremely helpful. The nurses are knowledgeable and caring, always having a smile on their face and they manage difficult situations with the upmost professionalism. We want to thank everyone for their hard work and commitment in the home.

Mom has been a resident since 2024, and we feel she is fully cared for by committed and caring staff. Although we see her every day, we are secure in the knowledge that when we are not there, she is safe and her well-being is a priority. The staff work hard, I just wish there were more of them so there
could be more 1:1 conversations with the residents.

I am really happy with the care given to mum - she is well looked after by nurses and carers. I am kept informed about Mum every time I visit/call. The home is always putting on activities, visits, music, and quizzes for residents (and visitors). To keep the residents as active and involved as possible.
Mum is dressed, clean and cared for. The rooms are clean, and food is nutritious (when mum feels like eating). I would recommend this home.

Staff are amazing, from night staff to office staff and care team, they are all cheerful and helpful. A special mention of Egbert, his care and nursing has solved mum's medical problems when the hospital had 'washed their hands' of her. Having someone who mum trusts has made a world of difference. Also
office staff have spent many hours sorting issues with finances for us, which is so appreciated.

My mother- in- law, has been a resident, at Ardenlea Grove care home, for just over two years. She has always been treated with respect & dignity. The family are notified of any signs of illness & if needed, a doctor will be contacted. We have always found the staff to be very friendly & helpful. Their
jobs are not always easy to do & we do appreciate their hard work. We are kept up to date with any other problems, such as not eating etc.

While Pebble Mill is a Care Home and Nursing Home, in offering residential accommodation, it's a great place for convalescence. It offers exactly what you need, to recover from fractures, a lovely warm bed/sitting room (with orthopaedic bed) and wet room bathroom, overlooking the well-tended garden,
all on one level, with corridors to practice using crutches. It's like a well-furnished modern 4* hotel, yet with lovely care and admin staff who offer the help you need, plus attentive medical care, from Nursing Staff and visiting doctor. Private physiotherapists are available. A salon and a hairdresser is available but you can call in your own and your own chiropodist. Rooms cleaned daily, bedding regularly changed, personal laundry done for you. Food is very wholesome, freshly home-cooked, on the premises. Eat in your room or in the dining room next to the lounge, join organised activities. There's also a mid-morning and afternoon tea and coffee trolley service. I highly recommend it.

I am an resident who came when I needed to find care at short notice. Ardenlea where already know to me as they had looked after my husband for a number of years. The staff managers, nurses, back office staff reception cleaners cooks maintenance gardens entertainment staff. I found Ardenlea for my husband
who had Parkinson's recommend by his Parkinson nurse I realised the staff would understand the need for PD meds to very carefully timed. My husband died several months after I came in to be The staff are now looking after me but they do the same level of care for everyone .This is is now my home and would recommend anyone to be cared for as well but Ardenlea is always full.
Although Ardelnlea is called a Care home it is actually a full Nursing Home. It the level of care is t 24 hours 7 days a week. Nurses and carer are on 12 hours shifts. The GP surgery gives excellent care
Their is complete choice of menu and full enteratinment 7 days a week.
