Clare House brings what used to be a much-loved cottage hospital back to life, offering a warm welcome to those in need of nursing or residential care, including Parkinson’s care.
Jeanette is qualified as a nurse in 1986, initially working on a high dependency surgical ward, moving into elderly care in 1991.
Jeanette moved into care manager roles in 2004 and joined Bupa in 2018.
Jeanette’s main drive and interest is in promoting independence and autonomy for residents.
Catalin qualified as a nurse at the end of 2014. Since then, he's worked as a Registered General Nurse before moving to Clare House in June 2015. He became the Deputy Manager at Clare House earlier this year.
As a passionate individual, Catalin always inspires his team to provide the highest level of person-centred care.
Marzena is one of our chefs, she has worked at Clare House for 4 years. She has a bright and sunny personality. With a warm and caring nature.
Marzena said she enjoys working at Clare House as “Its fun and lots of laugh with Residents and staff alike. I like the residents. Its hard work but very rewarding”
Our Senior Carer Karen has worked at Clare House for almost 10 years. She previously worked in the community as a carer. Karen started out as a Carer and after 2 years she was able to progress in her career and trained to be a senior carer.
Amy is one of Our Activities Co-ordinators, she has worked at Clare House for almost 15 years.
Amy said “I enjoy working at Clare House, as you get to be part of the resident’s family. I enjoy getting to know them and helping them find new ways to continue their interests”.
Amy is a very thoughtful and empathetic person. Always helps the residents with their needs and requests. Amy is a jack of all trades; you name it she does it. Hence a good all-rounder.
Jackie is one of our activities co-ordinators, and she has worked here for almost 3 years.
Jackie has worked in reception in the corporate industry for over 30 years, and volunteers for Lynda Jackson Macmillan centre.
Jackie cares for her mother who is living with dementia, which is what brought her into working in care. As through volunteering and attending dementia groups she had seen the benefits of activities and interactions for elderly people.
