Clare House provides nursing, residential, convalescence and respite care, both short and long term. The majority of bedrooms are en-suite. At Clare House, staff take great care to focus on the person. It’s important for residents to feel at home, so it creates a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence.

Situated in a quiet residential area of Uxbridge, the home, a converted cottage offers residents comfortable, light, spacious bedrooms and lounge areas surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens. A secluded courtyard and tranquil sensory garden gives residents places to relax and enjoy the views.

The home has good transport links with a regular bus route stopping directly outside the home, not to mention easy access to the M40.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and tries to cater for all ethnic groups. Soon after a resident arrives at Clare House, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

There’s a real sense of community at Clare House. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. My father was in Clare House Care Home from 2/11/15 until he passed away on 19/10/16. He received excellent care during his 11 months in Clare House Care Home. He enjoyed the company of the other residents and also enjoyed the fantastic entertainment. My father went in with ulcers, but for 9 months,
he was able to get about in a wheelchair and also got to out with dial a ride to the local church in Uxbridge. He enjoyed the food and until he ended up in a bed, for the last couple of months as the ulcers began to spread. He enjoyed Clare House Care Home and it was his last home. After the funeral, everyone was invited back for tea and a bite to eat. Great staff and excellent care.

Jeanette Gittens

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2018

Jeanette is qualified as a nurse in 1986, initially working on a high dependency surgical ward, moving into elderly care in 1991.


Jeanette moved into care manager roles in 2004 and joined Bupa in 2018.


Jeanette’s main drive and interest is in promoting independence and autonomy for residents.

Catalin qualified as a nurse at the end of 2014. Since then, he's worked as a Registered General Nurse before moving to Clare House in June 2015. He became the Deputy Manager at Clare House earlier this year.


As a passionate individual, Catalin always inspires his team to provide the highest level of person-centred care.

Marzena is one of our chefs, she has worked at Clare House for 4 years. She has a bright and sunny personality. With a warm and caring nature.


Marzena said she enjoys working at Clare House as “Its fun and lots of laugh with Residents and staff alike. I like the residents. Its hard work but very rewarding”

Our Senior Carer Karen has worked at Clare House for almost 10 years. She previously worked in the community as a carer. Karen started out as a Carer and after 2 years she was able to progress in her career and trained to be a senior carer.

Amy is one of Our Activities Co-ordinators, she has worked at Clare House for almost 15 years.


Amy said “I enjoy working at Clare House, as you get to be part of the resident’s family. I enjoy getting to know them and helping them find new ways to continue their interests”.


Amy is a very thoughtful and empathetic person. Always helps the residents with their needs and requests. Amy is a jack of all trades; you name it she does it. Hence a good all-rounder.

Jackie Harrison

Jackie is one of our activities co-ordinators, and she has worked here for almost 3 years.


Jackie has worked in reception in the corporate industry for over 30 years, and volunteers for Lynda Jackson Macmillan centre.


Jackie cares for her mother who is living with dementia, which is what brought her into working in care. As through volunteering and attending dementia groups she had seen the benefits of activities and interactions for elderly people.
