The care and consideration at Clare House Care Home is fabulous. My father-in-law is totally cared for and very happy with all of his carers and nurses and staff. We have total confidence in their care of him. Highly efficient and very caring, a great establishment.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to hear that your father-in-law is happy in our care at Clare House.
My father moved into Clare House Care Home a few weeks ago and in a short space of time, he has settled in and is really happy which shows in his improved health and well-being overall. Clare House has provided him with a loving, caring, supportive, friendly, respectful and attentive environment for my 90-year-old, disabled father who needs specialised care, is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s amongst fair few other ailments and health issues. Staff and carers have been excellent, thoroughly professional, caring, considerate, friendly and very welcoming at all times to him and when we visit. I highly recommend Clare House with its exceptional and outstanding care. Our special thanks to the manager who we highly commend on the excellent running of this lovely care home. Thank you very much Clare House for everything you have all done for our dear beloved father in making it so lovely and welcoming for him and in assisting the family in feeling content knowing that he’s in the right place.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, It is lovely to hear that your Father has settled well into our care home and It is always nice to hear words like “Loving” and “Supportive” being used to describe our care. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to make his stay more comfortable.
Clare House Care Home have provided a lovely, caring, happy home for my mum who has late-stage Alzheimer's. The staff are great, really good-humoured, very professional, very welcoming when I visit, and so dedicated to the residents. From my viewpoint, they have handled the incredibly difficult challenge of Covid really well.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It is always nice to hear words like 'professional' and 'welcoming' being used to describe our staff. We hope to continue providing your mum with the best possible care.
Staff and management are excellent. I have had a lot of contact with one member of staff and she is so helpful and reliable, can't praise her enough. Gold Star. I cannot fault any of the management or the staff. Always professional, helpful, and caring.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is well cared for and looked after. Thank you again.

My auntie, after losing so much weight and unable to care for herself, turned herself around along with the fantastic help of the staff of this caring and attentive home. She was happy and enjoyed the company of all the staff, and never felt alone. She couldn't have been happier.

My Mother has been a resident at Clare House Care Home since February 2020. Before the pandemic, I was visiting my Mother every day usually after lunch and stayed for 2-3hours. I was always made to feel very welcome, with a tea or coffee and some homemade cake brought to me as well. I got to know many of the staff there and found them very friendly and helpful. I sometimes stayed while Mum was being fed so experienced at first hand how she is being encouraged to eat. I should point out my mother has Alzheimer's so eating sometimes is a bit of a struggle for her. It is done with patience and a kind manner which is very reassuring. In fact, reassuring is a word that covers most bases at Clare House, the administration of medication etc is carried out with high professionalism, bathing, changing etc is done on a regular basis and entertainment in the large lounge keeps many of residents happy with musical afternoons, quiz games, murder mystery evenings, invited singers and musicians.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us such lovely comments. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mum in our care.
A very pleasant care home that does indeed have a certain feeling of homeliness. Very friendly and helpful staff, who provide an 'upbeat' feeling.
Thank you for your really kind feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review.
My mother became a resident of Clare House over 4 years ago and during that time she has been extremely well cared for. As someone who is bed-bound and unable to communicate, the staff have been very vigilant in attending to both her personal and nursing needs. Despite being unable to communicate verbally, it is clear my mother trusts the staff and can sense they are caring individuals. Personal care is excellent - I have always found her to be clean and comfortable, and the nursing staff ensures they act promptly to respond to any nursing issues and are proactive in contacting her GP/outside agencies as soon as they identify a need. The home has a most welcoming atmosphere with a 'calm, happy' feel to it. The staff are always very approachable and do seem to work together very much as a team. As a very regular visitor to the home, I have witnessed how smoothly run the home is and how well cared for the residents are. My mother is on a puree diet and the food is GREAT!
We really appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback, thank you for your really lovely comments. We are so pleased that you can feel at ease with your Mother in our care, thank you for trusting us with her care. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to help.
I found Clare House to be a very warm and friendly care/nursing home. It was clean and comfortable without being clinical. I was impressed with the gardens and thought they were very well maintained. A well-stocked library, comfortable sitting and dining room. You were able to eat with your relative if you wanted (just had to let them know). The chef/cooks went through with residents what their dietary needs were, menus with choices were discussed with residents ( alternatives were found if nothing was favoured). Personal care was of a high standard. All rooms had ensuite toilets and hand basins.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us such lovely comments. It is always nice to hear kind words being used to describe our care.
I can not praise highly enough the commitment and compassion of the staff at Clare House during my Aunts stay there. At all times we were treated with the utmost kindness and respect during our visits and always kept abreast of any developments regarding her physical and mental health. It was a great comfort to the family to know that my Aunt was being so well cared for. Everyone at Clare House should be proud of what they have been able to achieve in the care and welfare of their residents, particularly in these current difficult times.
Thank you for your praise. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
Fab staff, nothing oto much trouble. Food always looks tempting. Visitors looked after too!
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We really appreciate your kind words.
My mum is treated as an individual. All of her care workers have taken the time to get to know her, so her needs are truly met.
Staff are dedicated to ensuring she has the best possible care medically and socially. They have great professionalism and she is treated with respect and dignity at all times.
Staff are also supportive of the family. We are regularly updated on her medical and social care and they know when to check if we're OK too. This certainly helps us cope with a very emotional and distressing time. 5 star all round!
Thank you for trusting us with your mother's care. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your mother as comfortable as possible.
My mum is currently receiving end of life care at the home. This is clearly a very upsetting time for all our family but the home has been great. The staff are friendly, supportive and very understanding. I cannot fault them.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. We hope Clare House did everything to make the transition as easy as possible.
The friendly staff at Clare House provided excellent palliative care for my father in his last days and their attentiveness meant the family could be at his side when he passed. Clare House management also accommodated my father's and mother's wish that they were together in the home, real evidence of a holistic and caring approach. A big thank you to all management and staff at this brilliant care home.
Staff were brilliant with mum. The cleanliness was very good. Mum was at Clare house for nine months and she was happy there. At the end of her life, the staff treated the family with great respect and looked after our needs as well as hers, making sure she was comfortable until the end.
Thank you for your kind words. We are saddened to hear about your loss and hope you can go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
Very welcoming at the reception area. Security was very good. Lunch was very nice and good choice.
I cannot thank the staff enough for easing her final days.
Thank you for your kind words. We are saddened about your loss. Hopefully, you can go away from this, feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
Clare House is a well run, extremely friendly home, where the staff genuinely care for the residents and visitors. The carers are kind and conscientious and everyone is helpful and smiling. The kitchen staff produce excellent meals, all cooked on the premises, and no request is too much trouble. The ladies in charge of 'entertainment' do a wonderful job of finding a different activity each day. The lovely grounds are well cared for and residents and families enjoy visiting the fish pond. The outstanding care means that families are confident that their loved ones are in good hands.
Thank you for your review of Clare House Care Home.
