Ridley Park is a purpose-built care home, ideal for residential, nursing and dementia care needs, welcoming both short and long term stays.

This modern home has its own residents shop, social 'hub' areas, landscaped gardens, a beauty salon and a cinema, providing the perfect setting to socialise or simply relax. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, and for those requiring a larger living space, premier rooms with their own garden and front door are also available.

I love Ridley Park Care Home. The only suggestion I would make and a change I would like to see, is a covered-in smoking area, due to the ages of residents and the weather, having to sit outside in the snow, rain and wind.

I'm glad to hear you love Ridley Park and thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

Ridley Park is spacious, warm and comfortable. I have found all the staff to be friendly, approachable and very caring. They are always cheerful and ready to help with any problem. I cannot praise them enough. The residents are kept mentally stimulated by all the activities that take place both inside and out of the home. All the staff and I include the laundry and kitchen folk who tend to be forgotten, work extremely hard to make life comfortable for the residents. More staff would make life easier all round.

Thank you for your review. Your comments are extremely important to us and our residents’ health and wellbeing is our absolute priority. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help them continually improve their service.

I feel the care of my mother has not been up to the high standard she has previously received in recent months and this contributed to a bad fall. Some member of staff are hard working and exceptional carers, however, I feel the number of staff available on each shift is not enough and some carers seem to be lacking in qualifications/training. On many occasions, I arrive to find her upset as teeth and spectacles missing.

My father is treated with the utmost dignity respect and the highest level of care by all the staff within Ridley Park.
His care needs are met/exceeded on an ongoing basis. Staff are professional, caring and ensure that I am kept up to date with any relevant information. Activities have been designed with him in mind to enable him to participate which he enjoys.

I consider Ridley Park Care Home to be clean, very caring staff to residents and family. They keep the residents happy with lots of fun and smiley faces. Do well in their jobs and attend to everything as soon as asked. Ridley Park is a very homely place, where everyone is very welcome.

Mum was a resident at Ridley Park from January 2016 until December 2017. The first few weeks were initially difficult for mum and her family adjusting to a new way of life. However, with the support of GP, social services and more importantly the staff, we all got there.
Shortly afterwards Ridley Park was taken on by Bupa and since then, along with a change in management, standards have improved enormously. Mum died in December 2017 peacefully with all her family around her the staff were amazing, right to the end. Thank you.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Please accept our condolences. Thank you for your review and kind words. I hope that when you look back it gives you comfort knowing that your mum was safe and well cared for while she was in our care.

The staff at the care home demonstrated the greatest care and compassion during the passing of my mother. All staff involved demonstrated the highest level of professionalism during the very difficult period, showing respect and providing great dignity to my mother and all her family who were around her during her final hours. I cannot thank all the staff involved enough.

All the staff are very friendly and provide an excellent standard of care towards my mother meeting all of her care needs. They also put on excellent activities that cater for all the needs of the residents.

The staff also go above and beyond what is expected of them in caring for my mother.

Thank you for your review. I'm glad to know that your mum is enjoying the activities and is so well cared for. This must put your mind at ease knowing that she will be looked after when you are not there.

My Mum has lived at Ridley Park for 5 years now and when issues have arisen over the years I have felt able to raise those with managers and staff and have had a very positive response.
Over the past few weeks in June my Mum has been very ill with a chest infection which would not respond to antibiotics and the staff have been wonderful in coping with this and looking after Mum in a thoughtful and caring way.
They have been very helpful to our family and have communicated well with the GP to get treatment in a timely manner, from prompt diagnosis through to the road to recovery.
They have also taken real pleasure in seeing Mum start to recover her eating, drinking and mobility - we couldn't have asked for better care for Mum.

The food is quite good, the puddings are better!
The atmosphere is quite brilliant for me. They help in my phone calls and cash is safe.
They take me out on various outings which are very enjoyable.

I visited with my one year old son. All the staff and residents were lovely with him giving him juice and biscuits and playing with him. Made very welcome. The home is beautiful and very clean.

My friend found a "home" here after a month of hospital admissions and had to give up her independence and more to Ridley Park. Giving up her own home was difficult, but the accommodation here is first class - and the staff have done everything they can to make the transition from independent living to a care home environment easy for her.
In the early days of her living at Ridley Park, there were "teething problems" as could be expected with such a change - physically and emotionally - but the staff supported her through this and now she is settled and "at home".
Having her own furniture, clothes and ornaments (of which there are many!) around her, had added to the 'home comforts' and it is a pleasure to visit and enjoy her new accommodation with her. Thank you so much (just one other thing - not all the residents are deaf - so there's no need to shout).

Good carers. Home is always clean. Food is a bit hit and miss (sometimes lacks flavour). Large price increases every year.

I have only been here for 3 weeks and have found it to be very comfortable and welcoming. The accommodation is second to none and I am more than happy to be here, safe and secure. The facilities they have for you and weekly activities are good to keep you active.

I am very impressed by the commitment, professionalism and care the home provides to my mum. she has been a resident for 3 years now and as an only child, I feel confident and reassured by the care provided to my mum, I visit on a daily basis and find it easy to approach any member of staff. I am so thankful my mum is happy and settled in the home which gives me peace of mind.

The professional, supportive and friendly manner in which my mother has been welcomed into the home is a credit to all the staff - we can't put into words how grateful we all are for the care being provided to my mother at such a stress full time. The home is welcoming, clean, and the rooms are comfortable and clean - the music played in the circulation areas was a very pleasant surprise - Led Zeppelin and Free! - I think we need to get our names on the waiting list!

A very big thank you to all the staff.
