Ridley Park is a purpose-built care home, ideal for residential and nursing care needs, welcoming both short and long term stays. The home also provides residential dementia care.

There are so many places to relax. Residents can have their nails or hair done before taking a twirl in the ballroom. They can enjoy a coffee in the café or a drink in the bar, and then see a film in the home's cinema. And their reminiscence room helps recapture old memories. The wrap-around garden has patios for enjoying the fresh sea air. There’s a greenhouse for growing produce and raised beds.

All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, and for those requiring a larger living space, premier rooms with their own garden and front door are also available.

A range of tasty home-cooked meals are freshly prepared by the homes own chef who takes into account individual nutritional requirements. Residents may dine in the pleasant dining room or in the privacy of their own room if preferred.

At Ridley Park, a busy programme of activities is available, while hobbies and interests are encouraged to promote an independent, healthy and active lifestyle.

Very caring atmosphere, very caring staff although more staff would be really beneficial. Staff should be employed not by how many residents there are but about the care hours that each resident requires. Staff are welcoming and very supportive.

Facilities are excellent. The staff are very friendly and caring. Food appears excellent. There are numerous organised activities for the residents (if they wish to participate).

A very good care home who cater for the residents needs in a professional manner. The only negatives would be as follows;
1) Not sufficient staff.
2) Meals could be more suited to the elderly who have difficulty in cutting food as well as chewing meat etc.

During the period of my mother's stay in Ridley Park Care Home, I have witnessed exceptional care being given.
The staff not only listen to my mother's requests but also to my concerns and ideas.
They are very quick in dealing with any health problems my mother has developed.
Overall the service
given to my mother has been caring, thoughtful and respectful.

My mother enjoys the activities that are provided. The staff that organise the activities are good with the residents. The only thing that could be improved is more choices with the food menu.

My father was admitted to Ridley Park care home for respite care after a nasty fall and multiple fractures.
The care was fantastic, food second to none and they couldn't do enough.
The manageress runs a tight ship and the staff are always pleasant.
The establishment is a beautiful place and is so
welcoming to all.

After being transferred from hospital and previous care home, family feel very confident in saying we were made extremely welcome, and form the start, felt that right from day one, my father's care would be given and panned in a way in keeping with end of life car.e At this sad time in our lives we

I love Ridley Park Care Home. The only suggestion I would make and a change I would like to see, is a covered-in smoking area, due to the ages of residents and the weather, having to sit outside in the snow, rain and wind.

Ridley Park is spacious, warm and comfortable. I have found all the staff to be friendly, approachable and very caring. They are always cheerful and ready to help with any problem. I cannot praise them enough. The residents are kept mentally stimulated by all the activities that take place both inside
and out of the home. All the staff and I include the laundry and kitchen folk who tend to be forgotten, work extremely hard to make life comfortable for the residents. More staff would make life easier all round.

I feel the care of my mother has not been up to the high standard she has previously received in recent months and this contributed to a bad fall. Some member of staff are hard working and exceptional carers, however, I feel the number of staff available on each shift is not enough and some carers seem
to be lacking in qualifications/training. On many occasions, I arrive to find her upset as teeth and spectacles missing.

My father is treated with the utmost dignity respect and the highest level of care by all the staff within Ridley Park.
His care needs are met/exceeded on an ongoing basis. Staff are professional, caring and ensure that I am kept up to date with any relevant information. Activities have been designed
with him in mind to enable him to participate which he enjoys.

I consider Ridley Park Care Home to be clean, very caring staff to residents and family. They keep the residents happy with lots of fun and smiley faces. Do well in their jobs and attend to everything as soon as asked. Ridley Park is a very homely place, where everyone is very welcome.

Mum was a resident at Ridley Park from January 2016 until December 2017. The first few weeks were initially difficult for mum and her family adjusting to a new way of life. However, with the support of GP, social services and more importantly the staff, we all got there.
Shortly afterwards Ridley Park
was taken on by Bupa and since then, along with a change in management, standards have improved enormously. Mum died in December 2017 peacefully with all her family around her the staff were amazing, right to the end. Thank you.

The staff at the care home demonstrated the greatest care and compassion during the passing of my mother. All staff involved demonstrated the highest level of professionalism during the very difficult period, showing respect and providing great dignity to my mother and all her family who were around
her during her final hours. I cannot thank all the staff involved enough.
