Ridley Park is a purpose-built care home, ideal for residential and nursing care needs, welcoming both short and long term stays. The home also provides residential dementia care.

There are so many places to relax. Residents can have their nails or hair done before taking a twirl in the ballroom. They can enjoy a coffee in the café or a drink in the bar, and then see a film in the home's cinema. And their reminiscence room helps recapture old memories. The wrap-around garden has patios for enjoying the fresh sea air. There’s a greenhouse for growing produce and raised beds.

All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, and for those requiring a larger living space, premier rooms with their own garden and front door are also available.

A range of tasty home-cooked meals are freshly prepared by the homes own chef who takes into account individual nutritional requirements. Residents may dine in the pleasant dining room or in the privacy of their own room if preferred.

At Ridley Park, a busy programme of activities is available, while hobbies and interests are encouraged to promote an independent, healthy and active lifestyle.

My mum died at Ridley Park Care Home this week and her care over the period of her last illness and death has been absolutely amazing. The carers have cared for Mum with such skill, tenderness and concern but also looked after the family as Mum's life drew to a close. I was able to stay with Mum for
the last 2 nights of her life and couldn't have had more done to support me. As a family we were accorded the privacy needed at this sad time but we knew we only needed to ask and help was closeby. We really felt the love from all the staff and are so grateful they helped Mum have a death with dignity and family around.

It is an excellent home. I'm very happy with the service provided. They look after my mother very well. Her food is always mashed which helps a great deal. The only thing is I would like the home to provide the number entry on the door because sometimes I have to wait 10 minutes to gain entry!

My father has lived in Ridley Park for 7 months now. The staff team take care of all of his needs professionally. The building/facilities are of a high standard however, in my view it is the staff team that make the home the excellent standard that it is.
All the staff are friendly and welcoming and
support the families as well as the residents.

Following a serious fall by my mother at home, both parents had to leave their marital home for residential care. Dad was offered a residential care place whilst mam recuperated in the hospital. Dad was assisted to settle in with the utmost empathy, unit mam was able to take up her nursing care placement.
What could have been a very difficult time adjusting to such a major life change, has been greatly eased by the extremely caring and attentive staff. A huge relief for the family.


Mam was admitted into nursing care following a serious fall. She was able to join dad who had earlier been admitted into residential care, a great comfort to the family. As a former nurse, mam has high expectation of nursing care, but we have certainly not been disappointed. The caring, professional staff who attend to her every need following a recent stay in hospital. Mam was greeted with a "welcome home" what more can I say!

Whilst we fully appreciate the care that is being offered by the staff and are very thankful that my mother-in-law secured a place in Ridley Park, we do have an ongoing question in respect of the staff numbers on duty at any given time in Dunes.
Whenever we visit my mother-in-law, the staff always
appear to be rushed off their feet and under stress.
This has caused us to think about the time the staff have available to spend with residents to give them that added value that they deserve at this stage in their life.
The food is very good and the facility is generally very clean and tidy.

From the moment we walked in the door it felt like the place we wanted mum to be. The place is lovely and homely and the staff so friendly and caring. Mum has been at Ridley Park 8 weeks now and she is very happy. They also look after my dad who visits mum every day. They make him feel so welcome. We
had issues with mum's personal care and nutrition prior to moving mum into Ridley Park but now she's showering regularly and eating well. Very pleased.

Dad has settled into life at Ridley Park really well. He has a lovely pleasant room and is very comfortable in his new surroundings. The staff are lovely and work very hard to ensure all of dads needs are met. They also made a lovely fuss of him on a recent big birthday.

Very caring atmosphere, very caring staff although more staff would be really beneficial. Staff should be employed not by how many residents there are but about the care hours that each resident requires. Staff are welcoming and very supportive.

Facilities are excellent. The staff are very friendly and caring. Food appears excellent. There are numerous organised activities for the residents (if they wish to participate).

A very good care home who cater for the residents needs in a professional manner. The only negatives would be as follows;
1) Not sufficient staff.
2) Meals could be more suited to the elderly who have difficulty in cutting food as well as chewing meat etc.

During the period of my mother's stay in Ridley Park Care Home, I have witnessed exceptional care being given.
The staff not only listen to my mother's requests but also to my concerns and ideas.
They are very quick in dealing with any health problems my mother has developed.

My mother enjoys the activities that are provided. The staff that organise the activities are good with the residents. The only thing that could be improved is more choices with the food menu.

My father was admitted to Ridley Park care home for respite care after a nasty fall and multiple fractures.
The care was fantastic, food second to none and they couldn't do enough.
The manageress runs a tight ship and the staff are always pleasant.
The establishment is a beautiful place and is so
welcoming to all.

I love Ridley Park Care Home. The only suggestion I would make and a change I would like to see, is a covered-in smoking area, due to the ages of residents and the weather, having to sit outside in the snow, rain and wind.

Ridley Park is spacious, warm and comfortable. I have found all the staff to be friendly, approachable and very caring. They are always cheerful and ready to help with any problem. I cannot praise them enough. The residents are kept mentally stimulated by all the activities that take place both inside
and out of the home. All the staff and I include the laundry and kitchen folk who tend to be forgotten, work extremely hard to make life comfortable for the residents. More staff would make life easier all round.
