This home gives exceptional care, taking time to get to know their patients and what they need to enjoy life. My dad was so happy here, and it was a joy to visit the home and see him taking part in all activities and interacting with residents and staff who made him laugh every day and vice versa. Their home optimises what a true care home should be. Thank you.

My mum went into the care home for four weeks of respite; during this time her health improved immensely. All the staff were amazing and my family cannot thank them enough. I would certainly recommend this facility.

Whilst my mother was only with you for a relatively short period before her passing, the care she received at Kilfillan House was outstanding. There is a real community feel to Kilfillan House. The staff clearly enjoy what they do to the benefit of all residents. The food is excellent and the activities programme is second to none. I will miss visiting! Thank you again.

My mother has been a resident of Kilfillan House Care Home for the last 3 months and is settling in well. The staff are brilliant. They always have a smile and are looking after mum extremely well. The accommodation is very good, mum's bedroom is light and airy, and nicely decorated. The food is of a very good standard and plenty of it. If anything the portion sizes could be a little smaller as mum struggles to get through some of the meals. However, she thoroughly enjoys the afternoon tea and cakes. I feel very reassured that mum is being very well cared for and I can't thank the team enough. They are amazing!

My mum moved into Kilfillan House for respite care in June 2025 while we searched for somewhere permanent nearby. She had lived independently and then with me, but needed more daily support. We tried another care home, but although it was newer and had more facilities, it felt more like a hotel than a home Mum could settle in. Kilfillan House immediately stood out for its warm, homely atmosphere and caring staff. Mum has settled in well and I'm always reassured knowing she is being looked after by a dedicated team. I'm particularly impressed by how they've encouraged Mum, who is quite shy, to join in with activities, helping her feel comfortable and included. My visits are always positive, and I appreciate being welcomed in too. I would certainly recommend Kilfillan House to anyone looking for a true 'home' for their loved one.

Mum has settled in well and seems happy. I prefer it if she is with the other residents in the lounge even if she is sleepy. It's great that she is encouraged to take part in games etc. I am very happy with Kilfillan, it's very homely and comfortable, and the majority of the staff are excellent. I would highly recommend Kilfillan.

Overall Experience
My dad stayed at Kilfillan House for a short two week period to allow my mum some much needed respite, and we couldn't have asked for a more caring and compassionate environment.

From the moment he arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and attentive, providing an outstanding level of care. The home itself felt warm and welcoming, with a lovely atmosphere for both residents and visitors, and the food was varied and clearly prepared with care. Despite only being there for a short time, my dad formed genuine connections with the staff. When it was time to leave, he became very emotional, as everyone came to say goodbye and made him feel so valued and cared for. We are really grateful to the team at Kilfillan House and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for compassionate, high quality care. We would not hesitate for a moment to bring my dad back should the need arise.

My mum 's stay at Kilfillan was just three weeks until she died but she was in the best possible care. My family is very grateful to each and every member of staff for the professionalism, kindness and compassion they gave us and my mother. Everyone - nursing, admin, cleaners - was exemplary. Whilst end of life is never going to be an easy process, I can't imagine it could be any better than the one provided by Kilfillan. Thank you.

This was my father's 2nd respite stay here. It was great to see so many of the same friendly caring staff as were here 2 years ago on his last stay. There is a really happy atmosphere amongst the staff who clearly know the residents well and they really understand my dad's needs and gave an excellent level of care. The catering and facilities were also very good with varied menu and nice lounge and garden. Would definitely recommend.

My mum has had a very happy life at Kilfillan House. She has been a resident since Sept 2024. The staff are well qualified and friendly. The accommodation is spotless and comfortable. My mum sadly passed away suddenly this month and the help and support I have received is 5 star! Although my mum's mobility was zero, she never missed the abundance of entertainment provided in the lounge. The cooking is all from fresh ingredients, top quality.

Although our father's stay at Kilfillian Care Home was brief - just three weeks before his passing - our experience with the staff and the care he received left a lasting and positive impression on our family.
From the moment he arrived, we were always greeted with a smile, and there was a genuine atmosphere of compassion throughout the home from all staff. The care was not only professional but deeply personal. The nursing staff in particular were proactive, attentive, and responsive to his needs, ensuring he was comfortable and treated with dignity every step of the way.
What meant just as much was the support offered to us as a family. During a very emotional and difficult time, the team was there for us too - with empathy, reassurance, and consistent communication.

Thank you to everyone at Kilfillian Care Home for making those weeks as peaceful and comforting as they could be.
