View Full Details of Kilfillan House Care HomeMy mum has had a very happy life at Kilfillan House. She has been a resident since Sept 2024. The staff are well qualified and friendly. The accommodation is spotless and comfortable. My mum sadly passed away suddenly this month and the help and support I have received is 5 star! Although my mum's mobility was zero, she never missed the abundance of entertainment provided in the lounge. The cooking is all from fresh ingredients, top quality.
My mother is a resident at Kilfillan house, and I have found the care and compassion shown to her has been wonderful. All of the staff that I have been in contact with have been courteous, knowledgeable and, despite being busy, always happy. They have been good at passing on information to me and other members of the family. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.
The house put on a picnic for all the residents and their family. The staff were brilliant they took time to make sure everyone felt special and entertained. The food was wonderful and very thought-out. Thank you each and every member of staff for such a special day.
Although our father's stay at Kilfillian Care Home was brief - just three weeks before his passing - our experience with the staff and the care he received left a lasting and positive impression on our family. From the moment he arrived, we were always greeted with a smile, and there was a genuine atmosphere of compassion throughout the home from all staff. The care was not only professional but deeply personal. The nursing staff in particular were proactive, attentive, and responsive to his needs, ensuring he was comfortable and treated with dignity every step of the way. What meant just as much was the support offered to us as a family. During a very emotional and difficult time, the team was there for us too - with empathy, reassurance, and consistent communication. Thank you to everyone at Kilfillian Care Home for making those weeks as peaceful and comforting as they could be.
Kilfillan House is a pleasant building with a smart new outside seating area and a welcoming entrance area. The room was a moderate size - a little dark but a lovely view of a cherry tree. I was particularly impressed with the warm welcome Dad received on arrival and Dad said that the food was excellent and the staff attentive and kind. Some minor improvements - Dad said the bedroom floor was slippery when wet. It was also sometimes a little hard to get information before admission. Thank you to all the staff who took such good care of dad.
During my two week post operation stay, I felt well looked after and very comfortable at Kilfillan House. I had a full knee replacement, so initially needed a lot of support and found the staff kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I was always treated with dignity and respect and felt very welcome from the moment I arrived.
My mother stayed at Kilfillan House post a knee replacement surgery for 2 weeks. The care was just what she needed, and the staff were kind, attentive and very supportive. They were also very knowledgeable in terms of managing her pain relief and other medical side effects of the operation. The support staff were also welcoming and always offered me a cup of tea, and were happy to spend time talking to us.
We are grateful for all the kindness, comfort and care my husband received while residing here for palliative care.
After 3 months my wife is still receiving excellent care and attention at Kilfillan House. One highlight was Christmas Day when I was invited to dinner. The staff set up a festive table in the conservatory, and the chef and her team served up an excellent meal. Any request we have made has always been dealt with.
My husband has been in Kilfillan House for a year and is well looked after. Anything wanted going and the carers are there. The kitchen staff did wonders over Christmas, with excellent service. I was in for two weeks over Christmas. Best Christmas I had in a long time. I would go again.
Kind, caring staff. Good food.
From the manager who showed us round to the kind and caring staff, we couldn't have been happier with the respite care my father received in the 2 weeks at Kilfillan House. It was a perfect place to recover after surgery and he left stronger and more confident to cope with life at home. Thank you to them all.
I have been overwhelmed by the loving care that my wife and I have received from all of the staff at Kilfillan. I do not believe I could have found a better care home anywhere. I would like to thank each member of staff for being so kind to us.

I was here May to August 2023 and was well looked after. Staff were all so caring and helpful. I returned to see them in December to thank them and have a cup of team and cake.
Excellent care for my mother for her rehabilitation following hip replacement surgery. Each and every member of staff were exceptional in all aspects of her care. They were kind, caring, professional, supportive, efficient, considerate, friendly, welcoming, understanding and all went above and beyond helping to care for and rehabilitate my mother so that she could recover and return home.
Mum was referred and admitted to Kilfillan House in June 2023 for palliative care. She could not have been in kinder or more experienced hands. From the moment she arrived until her death yesterday she was treated with empathy and kindness - from day to day care, to nutrition and the cleanliness of her room. Mum was a lovely lady and her final months were made special by each and every member of staff. I can't thank you all enough.
My aunty stayed at Kilfillan House for fifteen months where she was treated with dignity, respect and care. The level of treatment needed varied throughout her stay and at each stage the staff adapted their care to meet her needs. Kilfillan House has a wide range of activities and events for residents and their families. They facilitated communication with the wider family and gave my aunty comfort and care right to the end. I can't recommend the team at Kilfillan House enough, they were lovely through the time we've known them.
An incredibly caring, kind, friendly home. Felt like a home from home the moment we entered. Everyone had Dad's best interests at heart. Cared for him until the end. We were so happy with the staff, facilities and general running of the home. Can't recommend it enough.
