I spent two weeks at Kilfillan following hip surgery. The care was exceptional and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I feel the care I received contributed to my well-being and convalescence. The food was good and nourishing. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home for short or long-term stay.

My mother was in the home for 6 months. She was very well cared for throughout. The staff were attentive and kind and made her final days as comfortable as possible, particular thanks to two members of staff. I would recommend the nursing home without hesitation.

My mother spent the last two months of her long life at Kilfillan House Care Home receiving palliative care. The kindness, compassion and care shown to my mother by the amazing staff was truly wonderful. Also, the practical and emotional support given to me at a difficult time has been fantastic. I recommend the tea and hugs.

Myself and all my family were delighted that my mother was welcomed back to Kilfillan House with the assurance and comfort of the knowledge that she would receive the best of care during the last days of her life. The nursing staff were very good at communicating with us daily and prepared us well towards the end of her life. They were professional but always with a smile and showed great respect and empathy towards our mother.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind words. We are glad to have helped you and your family through such a difficult time. Hopefully, with you knowing that your mother received the best possible care, it can put your mind at ease.
The care received by my mother was second to none. All staff, at all times, were friendly, approachable and very helpful. My mother enjoyed her stay right up to the end and was always treated with dignity. A credit to the care system.

As it's longest-serving resident, I am proud to say that Kilfillan House is currently running superbly well and much of this must be due to the current manager who has already made several positive improvements to the home. This, in turn, rubs off on the staff who are much happier in their work as a result. Well done Kilfillan.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased that you feel comfortable and at ease in our care and we are happy to hear you feel like a part of our Kilfillan House family. We have a genuine regard for our residents, so this makes us happy that we can make your stay with us enjoyable and pleasant. We hope to continue providing you with the best possible care.
We had lunch at Kilfillan House for our 63 wedding anniversary, and the kindness and fuss they made of us were outstanding. They made it a day my wife and I will never forget. Thank you to this outstanding team.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your wonderful review. It is so nice for us to hear that the care home has gone so above and beyond to help you and your Wife celebrate such a big milestone. Congratulations to you both, and thank you for choosing Arbrook House.
Staff were largely lovely and clearly caring (only one member of staff came across as a little short and judgemental, which was unwelcoming) - all dealing with a heavy workload, especially at weekends, and I'm sure they, like most carers in this country, are underpaid for what they do.
The room my Dad was in was very small with little room for anything other than the bare essentials (and the telephone did not work!). The garden is well kept with areas of seating but no way of residents to attract attention and my Dad was left for a harmful amount of time unnoticed outside.
Thank you for your feedback. Our management team are always available to speak with to raise any concerns you may have, including room suitability not only for new residents but also for our current residents. Our resident's safety is paramount, ensuring they are safe within the care home premises...
Thank you so much for looking after my brother. He was so happy to be with you. Although he was not with you very long, you all made him very happy in his final days. I cannot praise you enough for what you did for him, I will always be grateful to you all. Your dedication and caring cannot be beaten, it is first class.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. We are so sorry for your loss and we hope that knowing how happy he was in our care is of comfort to you now.
My mother-in-law recently moved into Kilfillan House; she has been made very welcome. The staff are very attentive, caring and friendly. The food is amazing. My mother-in-law received care from a different care home where she didn't have a great experience. I believe she will be happier at Kilfillan House.

We hope Kilfillan House care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible and are happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mother-in-law in our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
My mother seems very settled and well cared for. The staff are very encouraging and try to engage in her activities, however, her mobility is deteriorating and it's more difficult for her to engage in downstairs activities.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We have a genuine regard for all of our residents and please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your mothers stay as comfortable as possible.
I can’t praise Kilfillan highly enough. My grandmother was and my stepdad is now a resident. The staff treat the residents with respect and have a lovely caring attitude. They take the time to get to know the person in their care and put things in place that will give them pleasure. They are practical and flexible in their administration wherever they can be.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Kilfillan House Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible and hope that you feel like a part of our Kilfillan House family. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care and thank you for choosing our home for your stay.
Cannot fault the care my husband gets.

Just moved my mum into Kilfillan House and can't believe how much better it is compared to the previous care home. All the staff are so polite and the food is amazing. Every room is very fresh and clean. I would recommend this care home to everyone. Thank you for a great experience.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so happy to hear the way you describe our home. Thank you for choosing us to care for your mum.
I cannot fault the care that my dear mum is currently receiving at Kilfillan House - she has been there since the end of March 2022 and all the staff are always so kind to her and indeed to all our family that visit her. I am fortunate enough to be able to visit Mum frequently and each time I leave her, I know that I am leaving her in safe, caring hands. The dedicated staff work so hard and nothing ever seems too much trouble to make Mum comfortable and settled.
We really appreciate your kind words. We are very happy to hear that you feel at ease with your mum in our care. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and well looked after. Thank you for your review.
My mum died at Kilfillan Hosue on 5th April, after 4 and a half years in the home. I was very grateful to be told the day before that her death might be imminent so that I could see her for the last time. I think she was very well cared for in the home. She had dementia and was vulnerable and I am very grateful for the extremely kind and thoughtful care she received.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are sorry for your loss and please accept our condolences. It is nice to hear that you managed to see your mum one last time. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your mum received the best possible care.
The kindness I have experienced during my respite care has given me the confidence to go home and start living. The staff are so dedicated and loved.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is lovely to hear that you have had such a positive experience in our care and now feel confident enough to go home. Thank you for choosing Kilfillan House for your stay.
I cannot comment on the value of money as I have nothing to compare with similar establishments. Please expedite the clearing of the shower room, it's full of stuff as I do have an ensuite shower in my room, I look forward to being able to take a shower on my own without help, which is needed in the 'plunge seat' in the bathroom.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I will certainly pass your feedback regarding the shower room on to the management team.
Dad was a resident for over two years and was very content during this period. The family cannot thank the staff enough for the care and respect they gave him, especially in his final few months. The last two years have been a difficult time for everyone working in care homes yet we were always made to feel welcome and when visits were not possible we were kept informed at all times. Kilfillan House was always Dad's first choice for care and the family would have no hesitation in recommending Kilfillan to others.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We hope that it was of comfort knowing that your Dad received the very best of care at Kilfilan House.
