Allington Court Care Home

My mother has been a resident at Allington Court since 2025. While her day to day care needs have generally been met and she is treated with kindness by many of the staff, my overall experience has been disappointing. Valuable gold jewellery went missing whilst she was a resident, resulting in police involvement, a safeguarding enquiry and a formal complaint. My greatest concern has been the way the situation was handled afterwards. Communication was often poor, I repeatedly had to chase for updates, and important information was not always shared promptly. Although communication has improved recently, it took far too long to reach this point. Families place enormous trust in a care home, and when serious incidents occur they deserve timely communication, transparency and accountability. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

Very pleasant surroundings lawn and garden, staff very pleasant and helpful, they all seem to care about their patients to make them comfortable, nothing is too much trouble

The cleanliness, rooms, care and support are exceptional.

Allington is in beautiful surroundings with the gardens kept immaculate safe and secure lots of seating for when weather is good. The staff are conscious the food is very good everywhere well maintained lots of activities for residents after visiting my husband I go home knowing he's in safe hands.

Care staff are really lovely.

I can not fault the care my sister received a Allington Court the staff are always so welcoming and go out of their way to help. Since my sister come to live at this home she was unsociable and not wanting to talk to anyone. I must praise the activity staff for their determination and support my sister has completely change she enjoys daily activities whenever I visit her she always looks busy doing her favourite hobby knitting. The food looks great and happy to see her in the dinning room with other residents. I feel much more relaxed to know how well she is. The home is clean, and the care staff are amazing. I would highly recommend this home.

Allington Court is a wonderful care home. My father has been here for over a year now, and I feel confident that he is well looked after. His room is always clean when I visit, and he always appears well looked after. The HCAs and other members of staff are always so lovely and treat him with care and dignity, and they are always so welcoming to myself and others whenever we visit. Thank you to all of the nurses, HCAs and staff who work here. I appreciate you all.

Christmas is a favourite time for him, he enjoyed the decorations and the ease of being organised for me to collect him on Christmas day to spend with family. Well done to all those who care.

I have lived in Allington Court for over 2 years. I can not fault the care I receive. The home is clean and fun. I have excellent care, the staff are lovely and caring.

Overall the residents are well looked after. Any concerns are usually dealt with.The staff are friendly and efficient and feel part of the family. The room is small and cramped especially with equipment, wheelchair etc.

Again a big praise for allingtons xmas party... the food was amazing .. entertainment brill as always.. the staff go all out and lots hard work involved to make it special for residents as well as families... always made to feel welcome... brilliant care home with happy residents. Would highly recommend .

Dad enjoys sitting in the TV lounge, relaxing in the armchairs and loves the variety of food on offer.

I have been at Allington Court for 3 months. I find the staff are very friendly and supremely helpful in aspects of my care and well being. The food is excellent and the activity provided gives a great atmosphere to the home.

My husband has been happy & feels at home. He likes his room & he says the staff are friendly. He receives good care & they are doing the best they can to make him comfortable. We appreciate all the help he receives. As a visitor I always feel welcome. The only observation would be to improve cleanliness by changing bed clothes more often as well as cleaning the room. Thank you.

My jsuband first ame to the care home after spending six weeks in hospital for one month's respite care after which he seemed settled and content and luckily he was able to continue to stay there on a permanent basis. I have found all the staff to be dedicated and caring and interested in my husband as a person and what his likes and dislikes are and they respect his dignity. Happily he has regained his appetite which is a reflection on the excellent meals, cakes and snacks offered.

So warm and kind staff. Always willing to help.

A very pleasant environment, the staff work well together to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of residents. All requests are dealt with exceptionally. Visitors made to feel comfortable & welcome. All rooms have access to the outside. The grounds are well kept with pathways suitable for wheelchairs and walkers giving access to seating areas. Altogether a calm & happy environment.

Excellent care home, all staff are helpful, friendly and look after our dad so well, we can not praise the staff enough, the events team do a brilliant job of keeping the residents entertained and housekeeping does an excellent job of keeping the home and laundry clean. The food is fantastic and the reception has a lovely smiley receptionist to greet you, thank you to all of you.

It's a very hard decision to put your parent into a home, but it was one we had to make. The staff at Allington Court Care Home could not have been nicer and did their very best looking after my dad. They kept us up to date with his progress and how he was doing and were always very helpful.

After our mother passed away our dad was not able to cope alone. Spending time living with us became impossible as we all worked. I was worried about the prospect of our dad going into residential care. I need not have. My sister found Allington Court, close to where we live and we loved it right away. It is clean, bright and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere. Dad moved in as a full-time resident and settled so quickly. We can visit all the time and Dad enjoys the activities and the company. The staff are a delight and treat all residents with dignity, kindness and respect. I like to follow their daily lives on social media. Highly recommended.
