Both parents entered Heath brook 2 years ago and the care and commitment from all the staff has been impressive. The home itself has had upgrades to décor and furnishings and activity staff have increased bringing a real sense of inclusivity for all the residents differing abilities. Theme days for
most occasion's are arranged, from public holidays to and observational days, fun days and family days. residents are encouraged to knit, paint, play bingo, sing and exercise to keep wellbeing at the forefront of their care. There is even an onsite 'pub'!
Medical care is faultless with communication to us being well framed. Doctors carry out weekly rounds and are available for consultations.
The surroundings and the gardens are kept well and used for entertaining and activates and families can visit and join in too. Placing our parents in this care home has been the best decision we could have made for their ongoing quality of life and keeping together in their latter years.

My mom has been in the home for nearly 3 years now, and I still find everything very satisfactory. Mom is always smiling when I visit and seems very comfortable and content. The staff are all amazing, very friendly and helpful, as well as being incredibly understanding and caring over how difficult
it can be at times, which is very much appreciated by myself. Thank you.

My mom has been a resident at Heathbrook since July 2024. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful to me and my mom. The nursing care is excellent, and I'm very impressed with the communication from all staff, care assistants, nurses and the attached GP surgery staff. All of the house keeping
staff and kitchen staff are also very friendly and go out of their way to make sure all of my mom's needs are met. They have created a lovely family feel atmosphere at Heathbrook House.

My mother in law began her stay at Heatbrook House in July 2025. We attended Heathbrook House a few days before Mom moved in and knew withun a few minutes it was clear this was by far the best residential home we had visited. The friendly, caring nature of the team shone throughout the building. We
were shown round the home and spoken to with respect, and a very understanding and caring approach. I can only praise the team as they all cared for Mom in the most personal way I have ever seen. This includes the management team, Nursing Team, all carers, the kitchen team, house keepers maintenance team and reception staff. The care here is second to none. Mom unfortunately passed away at the end of November, but everyone there made her last months a brilliant time, full of care and laughter. They made Mom(and my wife and myself part of the Heathbrook family. I have to thank the team for how they cared for Mom, making her comfortable, feel safe and loved by the all whilst she was there.

My mom had been at Heathbrook House since end July 2025.
During the latter stage of mom's life we could not have asked for any better, care, love & support shown by the staff & Management Team for mom.
From the Senior Nurse down through all the roles the Team all reacted immediately to mom's needs
& requests to ensure she remained as comfortable as possible & pain free during what was a very difficult & sensitive time for both mom & us as a family.
The respect & dedication they all shown to mom was second to none & this continued to be displayed right through until mom was taken from Heathbrook to rest at the Chapel.
We can't thank the Team at Heathbrook enough Xx

What a lovely home! The building still looks very new and clean. All rooms seem to look outside at the rest and the grounds. The home is set on the edge of the countryside but is also on a bus route from Bromsgrove.

Staff are key to the feel of this home and they are truly exceptional. Very caring

and responsive. I feel I can relax for the first time for many years in the knowledge that my mother is in a safe environment and that she has her medication on time and her meals are balanced and timely.

Heathfield House caters for mums spiritual needs and her mental and physical needs.

Brenda has settled in really well and has a lovely room with everything she needs provided. Despite the sad circumstances Brenda is a very difficult patient, she is cared for very well and all of her needs have been met with compassion, gentleness and patience. The staff are very friendly and accommodating
and have a lovely conservatory for family to relax and spend precious time together. Refreshments are provided as well as snacks which is a lovely touch.

Upon moving into heath brook it took a little while for the staff to get use to us as a family and my mom and us of the routine and the staff but following this my mom has settled in really well. Staff now understand my mom's likes and dislikes and if there is something at meal times she doesn't like
on the menu they will either amend it or make something different which is great.
Heath brook looks and smells clean both on entering reception and onto the units.
All of the staff from management to housekeeping are friendly and always saying hello or offering hot drinks, and remembering are names or the names of my mom's grandchildren so they can talk to my mom about them later which always brings a smile to her face, in addition to making us feel welcome at any time.
If there are concerns with mom's health the nursing time will call us or if the GP needs to consult with us they will also call us which gives us a peace of mind that she is being taken care.

I regularly visit Heathbrook House to visit my grandmother. I can't fault any member of the care team. They are all efficient, approachable, caring and hands on with all the residents. They genuinely make it feel like a home for all in their care, and are always so polite and welcoming whenever I visit.
It's such a lovely place to go to and so reassuring knowing my grandmother is in such capable and caring hands.

I came to visit my friend who I havnt seen in a very long time, I was welcomed by the receptionist who asked who I had come to see and if I had been here before, she was most welcoming and showed me the way to go.
I went to my friend in her room and she was surprised to see me there but was so glad
I came to visit , she told me all about her new home and how she's settled in really well.
The home is lovely and my friend showed me around the lounge and where she has her meals.
One lovely lady asked us if we were ok and if we would like to have a coffee in the conservatory. We went to the conservatory and it's such a lovely space and nice environment to have a catch up.
My friend said she had doubts moving into a care home but she's happy and content here and it's wonderful to see her like this. Thankyou to all that look after her so well, she spoke very highly of you all.

Overall the home has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I noticed how fresh and clean the home smelt when we first arrived. The staff are very friendly and kind and treat mum with respect, she can be very difficult. She is often led on her back staring at the ceiling, she is completely immobile. Sometimes
her food is hard for her to eat, very crumbly toast depending which shift is on. She likes music or TV in the background, not nothing!

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.787)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.787) out of 10 for Heathbrook House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.787 for Heathbrook House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (221 Excellents x 5) + (53 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 277 Ratings = 4.787
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Heathbrook House Care Home is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 registered maximum number of service users is 9, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My passion lies in ensuring that every interaction truly matters. I am dedicated to maintaining the highest standards, with a focus on person-centred care that values each individual. I understand that the transition into care can be challenging, and I strive to make this journey as smooth and supportive as possible—not only for residents but also for their families and loved ones.

At Heathbrook House, we take pride in seeing the person, not the condition. We are committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where residents feel valued, empowered, and able to embrace this stage as a new and meaningful chapter in their lives.

My journey with Heathbrook House began while covering shifts through an agency, and I was delighted to later join the team on a full-time basis. Since 2025, I have been proud to serve as Clinical Lead, a role that allows me to support both our residents and our dedicated team.

I am immensely proud of the commitment and hard work demonstrated by the team in delivering the best possible clinical outcomes for those in our care. We are an engaged and motivated team, always eager to learn and continually improve our practice.

My name is Abby, and I began my journey at Heathbrook House in 2021 after returning to work following the birth of my twin boys. I previously had a background in hospitality, but I was looking for a more fulfilling career, as leaving my boys was a significant and important decision for me.

I started as a Care Assistant, progressed to Senior Carer, and was later proud to be successful in securing the role of Non-Clinical Unit Manager. My role focuses strongly on the quality of care provided, from completing quality audits to carrying out care reviews. I am also passionate about supporting and developing the care team to ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of care every single day.

My name is Nicola, and I am the Financial Administrator at Heathbrook House. I play a key role in supporting both residents and their relatives, and I am often the first point of contact when you get in touch with us. I take great pride in ensuring that every enquiry is handled smoothly and positively from the very beginning.

I have a strong background in accountancy; however, I was seeking a more fulfilling role that allowed me to work closely with people. After spending time delivering care in the community, I discovered a passion for combining my financial skills with meaningful interaction. This led me to my role here at Heathbrook House.

Over time, I have been fortunate to develop my position into much more than a traditional financial role. I truly value the relationships I build and love spending time with residents, staff, and family members. I am extremely proud to be part of the Heathbrook House family and to contribute to creating a warm, supportive environment for everyone.

Job Title: Senior Activities Joined: 2025

My name is Sophia, and I am the Senior Activities Coordinator at Heathbrook House. My team and I are committed to providing a wide range of activities that are adaptable to all abilities, ensuring equal access to meaningful engagement for every resident.

We take the time to get to know each individual, exploring their life history, personal preferences, and interests, as well as their likes and dislikes. This enables us to create personalised and meaningful experiences that truly enhance their well-being.

I have also played a significant role in enhancing the care home environment by creating purposeful and inviting spaces that offer alternatives to the traditional care home lounge. Residents can entertain visitors in our bistro-style conservatory or enjoy special moments with loved ones in our private dining room.

Additionally, we have an outdoor café that is particularly popular during the warmer, drier days. Our residents have recently been involved in creating a beautiful outdoor garden space. By tapping into their skills and experiences, this project has become a resounding success and a wonderful talking point within the home.

I facilitate a resident-led committee that plays a key role in shaping our activity programme. This ensures that the individuals living here are truly at the heart of everything we do, influencing both the activities we deliver and the overall experiences we provide.
