View Full Details of Heathbrook House Care HomeCame to see my aunt, found her to be looking clean and well happy. The home and staff are lovely. P.S hope you do not mind my auntie will not eat carrots or any meal with carrots on. This is not a complaint just wanted to let you know.
From the moment Mom came to Heathbrook House in March 2025 she was settled and felt safe she has a lovely room and the staff are so helpful & caring. They couldn't look after Mom any better. Thank you to everyone at Heathbrook House.
Upon moving into heath brook it took a little while for the staff to get use to us as a family and my mom and us of the routine and the staff but following this my mom has settled in really well. Staff now understand my mom's likes and dislikes and if there is something at meal times she doesn't like on the menu they will either amend it or make something different which is great. Heath brook looks and smells clean both on entering reception and onto the units. All of the staff from management to housekeeping are friendly and always saying hello or offering hot drinks, and remembering are names or the names of my mom's grandchildren so they can talk to my mom about them later which always brings a smile to her face, in addition to making us feel welcome at any time. If there are concerns with mom's health the nursing time will call us or if the GP needs to consult with us they will also call us which gives us a peace of mind that she is being taken care.
I regularly visit Heathbrook House to visit my grandmother. I can't fault any member of the care team. They are all efficient, approachable, caring and hands on with all the residents. They genuinely make it feel like a home for all in their care, and are always so polite and welcoming whenever I visit. It's such a lovely place to go to and so reassuring knowing my grandmother is in such capable and caring hands.
I came to visit my friend who I havnt seen in a very long time, I was welcomed by the receptionist who asked who I had come to see and if I had been here before, she was most welcoming and showed me the way to go. I went to my friend in her room and she was surprised to see me there but was so glad I came to visit , she told me all about her new home and how she's settled in really well. The home is lovely and my friend showed me around the lounge and where she has her meals. One lovely lady asked us if we were ok and if we would like to have a coffee in the conservatory. We went to the conservatory and it's such a lovely space and nice environment to have a catch up. My friend said she had doubts moving into a care home but she's happy and content here and it's wonderful to see her like this. Thankyou to all that look after her so well, she spoke very highly of you all.
The staff and management are so welcoming and go the extra mile to help the residents the best they can providing care in a person centred way with all resident especially my family I have no complaints only compliments for the home it's well looked after and everything always looks so fresh.
Overall the home has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I noticed how fresh and clean the home smelt when we first arrived. The staff are very friendly and kind and treat mum with respect, she can be very difficult. She is often led on her back staring at the ceiling, she is completely immobile. Sometimes her food is hard for her to eat, very crumbly toast depending which shift is on. She likes music or TV in the background, not nothing!
When my mother was on end of life care everyone was son kind. It was humbling to see how all the staff cared - even when busy, nothing was too much trouble. They ensured my mother's last days were calm and pain free. I could not praise them enough.
My mother-in-law was a resident in Heathbrook House for just over one year. During that time she received excellent care and attention from all staff. We visited regularly when we were made to feel very welcome and part of the Heathbrook House family. The staff always met you with a smile and would keep us updated with all of the things Mum had done during the day and any health issues she may have had. I would not hesitate in recommending Heathbrook House to anyone.
This has been a pleasant stay. Staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful and do their best to make the stay pleasant and sometimes entertaining.
I recently moved Mom into Heathbrook House from a previous care home, and I have been overwhelmed with the care & attention from everyone we have met so far. Her room is fantastic, so bright, and has a lovely view from the window onto part of the gardens, the whole home is clean and welcoming. I am so much more confident that Mom will now get the care she deserves, and can already see how much calmer she is. Thank you everyone at Heathbrook House for restoring my faith in our care system.
My visits are made bearable by the kind and considerate staff. I feel that I leave my sister with kind and caring people.
Excellent facilities, an environment. All of the staff are friendly, caring and efficient at their job. Food looks superb, although my wife is on a pureed diet which is well prepared to the right consistency. Very happy that my loved one is in good hands.
I’ve been coming here for a while now to visit an old neighbour. She was very apprehensive when she first moved in but these past few months she is loving it. I believe we have new management and have noticed a big change in standards. I would definitely recommend this home in the future. I would like to say well done to all the team. And a big thank you.
My dad has been in Heathbrook for 11 months and my mother spent 7 weeks in the home so she could spend time with dad. In between the time mom was in the home dad was taken into hospital dad was discharged on end of life. My sister and I spent 10 days by dads bedside as the hospital said he only had 2 days to live, the staff were really kind and caring. Mom and dad had their 65th Anniversary in the home, the cook made some sandwiches and cakes and hot drink. The cook was so kind and made a cake, it was such a lovely afternoon for mom and dad was given some flowers of all the staff. We had lots of happy time and we had some sad one two due to dad’s heath. The carers were so amazing. The nurse team were fantastic too. It was also that the manager come out of the office and do hands on too this is fantastic to see. I would like to thank everyone in Heathbrook House for everything there did for mom and dad.
The service is very good.
I am very happy with the level of care my mom is receiving. She is so happy and really enjoys all the activities and entertainment. The staff are also all so lovely, patient and helpful. I am so grateful to know that Mom is safe and happy. Thank you, it puts my mind at ease.
My mother has always enjoyed staying at the home. She joins in all the activities and especially enjoys the art/craft sessions and the entertainment. Many of the staff are friendly and treat my mother well - calling her 'queen.' Some go above and beyond for the home giving their time and money for the residents. I could not have found a better place for my mother to spend her days.
Would highly recommend as the care my father is getting is brilliant. The care staff are lovely and helpful, and they go above in the care. There is plenty to do for my dad with activities, which he loves getting involved in.
All staff are helpful and courteous. I have no complaints about my wife's treatment, although I would like her hair washed more often, at least every other day. The home is always tidy and clean.
