Recently refurbished (2023) throughout, Heathbrook House is a purpose-built care home in the pleasant residential area of Stoke Heath. It offers dementia care, residential, nursing, respite, Parkinson’s, palliative and convalescent care.

This purpose-built accommodation has been carefully designed to provide a warm and homely environment and features comfortable lounges and a light, airy conservatory, ideal for relaxing or socialising. Bedrooms benefit from ensuite facilities as well as TV and telephone points and views of the gardens.

Mealtimes and special occasions are made satisfying thanks to a versatile chef who tailors meals to individual diet and pursues the home’s mission to support good nutrition.

A varied activities programme is also tailored towards personal interests, with many residents’ clubs set up, as well as gardening, painting, baking and musical entertainment. Pets As Therapy dogs are popular visitors and enjoyed by all.

My sister was in Heathbrook House for the last four months of her life. She had numerous illnesses including cancer.
Previously she had been in another nursing home where it was extremely distressing to see the lack of compassion, care and activities.
When we moved her to Heathbrook House we were
very tentative and watching to make sure that we had made the best choice for our sister's care. We were ecstatic! Heathbrook House is purpose built. The rooms are like spotless hotel rooms with their own en-suites.
Cleanliness is second to none.
She was now being cared for with so much dignity and love by all the wonderful staff. Everyone including management, nurses, care assistants and all took a personal interest in her.
She enjoyed her days spent in the lounge where lots of different activities take place every week loving the sing-a-long and games that were organised so well by the activities organiser. The food was very appetising and variations to the menu were no problem.
Our family were kept well informed of everything that was going on in my sister's life to the end where she was made extremely comfortable and could not have been better cared for.

From the onset of my mother-in-law early February 2015 until her death at almost 96 on 8th January 2016 she had excellent care and sympathy. Having changed our house for her to live with her daughter and me. After a spell in a hospital, we were advised that she needed 24-hour care. By good fortune
Heathbrook was only 5 mins walk from home. If she had to be anywhere other than our house we could not have been more pleased with the treatment and care she was given at Heathbrook House Care Home for the 11 months she was there. My wife and I would have no hesitation at all to recommend Heathbrook House to anyone requiring a care home.

Excellent nursing home. Every one of the staff gave dignity and genuine care to my mother. Nothing was too much trouble and if I had any concerns or questions there was always someone to help. If I felt my mother needed any attention I only had to ask and immediately someone was with her to attend to
her needs. I felt 100% confident she could not have been better looked after and had peace of mind when I had to go home. My thanks to everyone at Heathbrook House.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at this wonderful home. My father went for a week of respite care and by the end we would have loved him to stay. The staff all said they wanted him to stay, and even he, though suffering from the early stages of dementia, as well as having some physical needs,
managed to verbalise that though he had been unsure at first, he really liked it and the staff were lovely! This said it all!

From the very first phone call to Heathbrook, I was filled with confidence in the care that my dad would received during his stay at Heathbrook. All the staff are obviously all singing from the same hymn book, because whatever their role within the home, they did their job to extremely high standards
and did it with a smile, which makes all the difference. Although my dad was the resident, my brother and I were there a lot and were also treated in a friendly, helpful manner, again by all the staff, which went a long way to help during a very difficult and stressful time. We can't thank Heathbrook enough for being there for us all, they all deserve a medal, and a pay rise!

My mom went into Heathbrook after home care providers could not manage her disabilities any more. Mom was very settled there and relaxed into her environment very well. The staff were always polite, thoughtful, very helpful and loving towards mom and us as a family. Through a very difficult last few
weeks of moms life there, the staff were amazing with mom and always very kind and supportive to us all. We would highly recommend Heathbrook nursing home to anyone.

My brother had been a resident of Heathbrook House since February 2010 and in receipt of excellent care.
His life ended after a short illness on December 30th, 2015 aged 80 years. Having my brother resident at Heathbrook has been a privilege. The last 6 years have been the most tolerable and for
the most part, inclusive time for us both; he had spent 59 frustrated years existing in various mental health units, hospitals and community homes where he failed to engage with anyone and retreated into his own secluded, lonely world.


Soon after my brother arrived at Heathbrook House, I learned to trust the integrity of the senior nurses on Willow. They gave chance to stand back and know that he had been given the best possible care, even when he strongly resisted it. The need for my personal advocacy ceased to be important as I knew that he was in safe hands. When it came his end of life care, he was still treated with loving care and attention;; he retained his dignity to the end.

Following my visit last year after hip surgery I returned again after surgery on my second hip.
My three week stay this July proved well worthwhile due to the excellent care offered by staff who were expert, kind and thoughtful.
I felt very well looked after and in a safe environment.
