Thank you for your kind words about Berkeley House. We are so pleased to have your recommendation. Your comments are truly a testament to the home's staff and their dedication to providing high quality care to each resident. We look forward to welcoming you back to our home again.
I cannot praise the staff on 'Victoria' enough. The end-of-life care that my mum received was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble from the carers down to the entertainment staff & cleaners. All showed love & compassion to my mum & support to myself & family members. Thank you does not seem enough, but I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for your kind words. We are humbled to have been able to support you and your family at such a difficult time. We are proud to have such dedicated and caring staff who are always ready to go that extra mile to make sure our residents have the best possible care. We hope you can go away from this knowing that your mother was well cared for.
My stepdad resides at Berkeley house. And has done from the beginning of November 2025. He originally went to stay for respite, however he has settled in really well and now refers to it as home. He has a great relationship with the staff and banter which he loves as he has a great sense of humour. When I visit it's a really warm welcoming atmosphere and I am always made to feel welcome. We are now looking at his placement becoming permanent as he has settled so well. He suffers from dementia and I feel that he is really safe and cared for at the service. His room is also personalised with pictures of my mum and other relatives displayed on his walls. Which he loves, he is quite a shy gentleman and staff encourage him to go into the communal areas. He now feels confident and often will venture there on his own.my personal experiences with the staff team is they are Caring and friendly and even though they are extremely busy at times. They always have a smile and are always polite.
Thank you for your feedback. It is always nice to hear our staff described as caring, polite and friendly. We are very happy that your Dad has settled into life at the care home and now feels confident to join in and socialise with the other residents. We look forward to continuing to provide him with the best possible care.
Father was admitted for respite and due improvement in condition and quality of care received and with ongoing issues Father has requested that this care home becomes his permanent home, moving forward this home has given the family peace of mind that our father is going to continue to improve living in a quality caring environment
Thank you for your feedback. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is well looked after. Thank you again for choosing us for your Father's ongoing care.
The care home provides a safe, warm and welcoming environment for the residents.

Welcoming helpful staff. Always clean and tidy everywhere, residents well cared for, all you can want really. Mum seems happy and relaxed and enjoys taking part in the many weekly activities on offer also.

My husband has settled in well adjusting to his new environment. All the staff are friendly and always willing to help. He has enjoyed all the activities especially the singing. The events team organise many different activities trying to give residents a good variety of experiences. The staff have also given me support during this very difficult time in my life. Myself and my family are happy with the care he is getting he's treated with dignity and respect and most importantly a willingness to help at all times. He enjoys the good quality food and there is always plenty of choice and nothing is too much trouble making mealtime an enjoyable experience. He can choose where he eats either in the dining room or his own room.
It's always encouraging to read reviews like this. Hearing that our care brings you peace of mind truly means so much to us and it is wonderful to hear that your Husband has settled in well. We hope Berkeley House Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything more we can do.
My husband was referred to Berkeley House after a time in rehab when it was decided that because of complex needs he could not be cared for properly at home. Several family members including myself went to look round the home before my husband was transferred from rehab. We were treated with respect and kindness by staff members , shown rooms and facilities and we were impressed with the standard of the home and how immaculate everywhere was. Since my husband has been living there I have been reassured by the care and consideration he has received from all staff in their varied roles at the home. Everyone is very friendly and overall the residents are treated so well. There is a varied range of activities and the catering is really good. It was a difficult decision to place my husband in care but I am very thankful he is in the right place.

After visiting several care homes in the area, it was a pleasant surprise to walk into the light and airy, Berkeley House Care Home. Mum has only been there a few days and all of the staff we have interacted with have been so helpful and engaged in their work. She loves the food and after 6 weeks of having to persuade her to eat even the smallest amount she has been tucking into the food here. Its a joy to visit her here too.

My career with Bupa began at the beginning of 2021, and I work in the maintenance department.
