Care Assistant for Nights

Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our award winning team.

In this role you will provide essential support to residents in our care home, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

You will work closely with Healthcare Professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, making a positive impact on the lives of those in your care.

Responsibilities include:

• To respond positively to the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental needs of the residents
• To monitor the health, welfare and well being of residents; following the plan of care
• To monitor residents’ hygiene and self-care and record and report any changes to this
• To be knowledgeable regarding the whereabouts of the residents at all times
• To maintain proper and accurate records regarding the residents and other Home information, writing reports in the care plan on daily events
• Ensure that the staff team is supported at all times maintaining professional relationships with all staff, setting a good example regarding general conduct at work
• Preparation of snacks and serving of meals
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
• To be aware and follow all procedures of the Home
• To be knowledgeable regarding emergency procedures pertaining to the Home
• To keep up to date with recent care developments, attend relevant courses/training
• To have knowledge of the use of any equipment within the Home
