Shift Pattern - 44 Hours days
Green Gates offers residential, nursing, palliative, post-operative
and respite care as well as support for adults with long term
conditions. The home also offers a space for people to rest, relax and
recover for short stays too!
Situated in the pleasant area of
Summertown the home has a lovely relaxed homely atmosphere and is
surrounded by beautiful gardens with outdoor seating. There are also
multiple communal areas and private dining facilities helping
residents to relax and socialise.
The home retains many of its
original features with rooms of varying sizes and aspects to suit an
individual’s needs. All rooms are en-suite with bathroom facilities,
Wi-Fi, and Smart TV included.
Green Gates is located in a prime
area of North Oxford, conveniently located between Oxford city centre
and Oxford Ring Road and is within a short walk to Summertown shopping
centre. There is a frequent bus service to Oxford city centre just 100
yards away.
Mealtimes and special occasions are important to the
home’s life, with food prepared by their chef manager and a balanced
diet enjoyed by all. Afternoon tea and homemade cake are popular
additions to the menu!
There’s a real sense of community at Green
Gates. An experienced, dedicated and diverse team really explore what
residents enjoy doing and the home's social and activities calendar is
organised around those interests.
So whether your loved one
already has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots
of exciting activities to get involved in. Residents can enjoy
activities such as musical afternoons, painting, games, baking and
gentle gardening with the addition of regular days out. There is also
an onsite hair salon and residents kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
- Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
- Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
- Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
- Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
What we're looking for:
- Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
