As our Clinical Unit Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the effective operation and delivery of the nursing team and work in conjunction with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager to recruit and train the nursing staff. You'll take responsibility for ensuring nurses adhere to laws, and infection control plans are implemented and recorded. You'll attend management meetings to discuss the status of nurse staff and our residents. You're duties will also include things such as: supervising nurse staff, develop care plans for residents and completing compliance procedures
Here’s some other important things you need to know:
- Valid UK NMC Pin Essential
- Shared responsibility with Home Manager and Deputy for the
selection, recruitment, induction and training and
regular appraisal of all staff on your unit. - Liaison with the Home Manager and Deputy as required to ensure the effective operation of the Unit.
- In conjunction with the Home Manager and Deputy to monitor CQC
standards and ensure effective delivery of quality
of care within the home and to liaise effectively with CQC inspectors. - To ensure that all nurse staff receive regular supervision.
- To ensure that all nurse staff receive training and any support necessary to facilitate their role and that they follow company policy and procedures at all times.
- In conjunction with the Manager to ensure that an effective nurse rota is always in place.
- In conjunction with the Manager to develop and keep up to date care plans which deliver a satisfactory quality of life for all Residents.
- Ensure the highest nursing standards are maintained in line with best practice, corporate policy and regulatory guidance
