Ashbrook Court Care Home

It took just 1 week to get my wife assest and in her room at Ashbrook. From the moment she arrived we felt the love everyone so kind & welcoming to residents, family & friends

From the day myself and my brother came in to view the home which was Feb 2026, Vicky the home manager took us under her wing, consoled us and helped us navigate a new chapter in Mum's life. The Staff always take good care, emotionally, mentally and physically. The communication with myself and staff is fantastic, any changes, needs medically or not are always relayed. The staff are well looked after by management and that's then passed onto the Residents. The only negative is the food could be better, plenty of choice, however quality could improve.

My mum has received caring care throughout her stay. All staff know mums likes and dislikes and show lots of consideration when mums having a wobbly. Just want to thank Ashbrooks for all their support through this process. P.S - she also likes the food xx

My mother has a number of medical issuses as well as care issues. I can't fault the care and medical care my mother receives. This is from the cleaning staff upto to management team all very caring. Many thanks to all and keep up the great work.

Both mum and dad are residents in this amazing home. The care and understanding of every member of staff is outstanding. Dad passed a few days ago and, as a family, we can't thank everyone enough for the care and respect shown to dad and the wider family.

First class facilities very good staff. Excellent entertainment for residents. Very cheerful and happy place for everyone. Good food, good care and nice place to be.

I feel very good witen I relax. The staff are very helpful. There is a range of things to do. And we get to taken out in the wagon a couple of times a week.

My husband went into Ashbroook Court Care Home in April 2025. He was very difficult at the beginning, but the staff persevered with him, and he began to respect them all. He had a stroke in October and was unable to do anything for himself. The whole staff were absolutely brilliant. I called them my walking angels. They looked after his every need, with a smile on their face. They were all there for myself and my son during all this time.

I arrived on the 14th November and came home 28th November and in all that time everybody was so kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my whole stay and would love to come again. I thought the food was lovely.

The staff do a fantastic job. There are always activities going on to keep everyone entertained. I always enjoy my visits.

I needed some time to convalesce after emergency hip surgery, and Ashbrook Court had a room for respite. I stayed for two weeks. The care and support was just what I needed, moving from 24/7 support at first, and over the fortnight increasing my strength, mobility and independence. All the staff (carers, cleaners, nurses, admin and management) were friendly, helpful and ready to engage unless there was an (occasional) emergency elsewhere. I wasn't there long enough to use the facilities though I gather there is a library and a cinema, plus gardens as well as day rooms.

Good food and plenty of it. Due to my dietary constraints I often had specially prepared meals, nothing was too much trouble. I was even given a tin of home-made biscuits as I left!

Good staff engagement with the residents, making an effort to keep them stimulated with activities and outings, engaging their brains with songs and singing. Also welcoming to family and friends, offering refreshments. The home has a transparent approach as the family has the codes to visit any time.

Ashbrook Court is a great care home, my brother has been a resident since January 2025. All the staff, carers, admin and management have been great with my brother, cannot do enough for his him and his everyday needs, very reassuring for our family to know he's getting the best care.

This alongside the outstanding care staff who look after her, always with a smile for her and us . i can't fault them!!

Any problems are dealt with expeditiously. The staff are very caring of individual needs. The residents are well looked after, although some of the bedrooms and the communal rooms need redecoration and updating

Excellent care home. Staff and Carers are always welcoming and respectful. As with anywhere there are always one or two things that could be griped about but ultimately I 100% feel confident that my dad is well looked after and cared for. Most importantly, he is treated with respect and the carers and staff make every effort to ensure he is comfortable and happy.

My mothers experience was not good. Following an assessment by social services, they said that interim care was a good idea and stated that Ashbrook House confirmed that they had availability. Obviously we were anxious for mum to be in a safer in environment, however it took nearly 2 weeks for them to assess and admit her. When she arrived there she was placed in a terrible environment for her, with poor dementia patients wandering around when my mother has fully capacity. On this wing, she had strangers wandering into her 'private' room, there was loud music blaring in the corridors. She wasn't allowed to chose her own outfits, and finally, she didn't like the food. Trying to contact my mother here was very problematic, very often excuses were made, and on one occasion I was connected to a stranger. Finally we transferred mum out of here, she had no discharge papers and they had 'binned' her prescription meds, leaving her without necessary medication for 24 hours.

Dad has settled in well and seems happy and always says how lovely everyone is. A very difficult time for us as a family but we know Dad is safe and sound. Thank you
