My father was in Queen Elizabeth Park for only one month. However, I felt we were treated like part of the family very quickly and felt dad was known and settled very seen after moving in. Dad's health deteriorated very quickly, sadly, but he was treated with compassion and care. Every effort was made
to make him comfortable in his last fortnight, and I was enormously well supported too. QUP provided a lovely family birthday event and enabled dad to fulfil a wish tree wish in his last few days, and I am very grateful to all who supported us both.

Due to necessity I desparatley needed respite care for my husband and was reluctant to leave him in the care of others. After visiting several care homes I knew that Bridge House was the place - how lucky I was to find such a place. He was made so welcome I immediately felt love and care from all. Time
has past with my husband having regular respite and daycare at Bridge House it has become our second family. Everyone knows each other and the love and expertise from all staff and a excellant, caring management. The support by all in Bridge House has been amazing for which I am most grateful.

October has been a month of lots of different and interesting things that Rosemary has been able to join in with. This is the point that there is always during the day something that residents can join in with.
However my mum loves motorbikes and we do take her to Oxford Speedway. Bridge House did
a residents wish to go to the motorbike café. The trip was full but the lovely Chantelle found a way that my mum and I could be included. We all had the best time and the cake was yummy.
This is what makes The Bridge House Care Home special - they will always try to go above and beyond for their residents and families.
Thank you x

I needed some time to convalesce after emergency hip surgery, and Ashbrook Court had a room for respite. I stayed for two weeks. The care and support was just what I needed, moving from 24/7 support at first, and over the fortnight increasing my strength, mobility and independence. All the staff (carers,
cleaners, nurses, admin and management) were friendly, helpful and ready to engage unless there was an (occasional) emergency elsewhere. I wasn't there long enough to use the facilities though I gather there is a library and a cinema, plus gardens as well as day rooms.

Good food and plenty of it. Due to my dietary constraints I often had specially prepared meals, nothing was too much trouble. I was even given a tin of home-made biscuits as I left!

My mother has lived here with worsening dementia for over 3 years now. It is a wonderful humane place where they treat residents with respect, care, love and a sense of joy. Nothing is too much trouble. Kindness is in everything each staff member does. There is a real sense of energy and fun. Food is
wonderful, family and friends are welcomed and celebrated, premises and grounds wonderfully clean and well maintained, there is a fantastic programme of events and activities, care is considered, appropriate and respectful, nothing is hidden. I could not be more grateful for the staff's tireless smiling efforts every single day.

My aunt found being in a care home quite traumatic at first but with time and the care and gentle persuasion of the staff she has now settled in. The entertainment programme is varied and well thought out from quizzes, exercise classes and day trips. It also helps to have the same carers most of the
time as residents get used to them. As a visitor I find it very welcoming

I can't describe my sense of gratitude that our brother is being cared for with such compassion and diligence. The care home both cares and is a real home. I felt immediately at home on arriving at Water Mill House where I received wonderful care. The staff are all amazing, friendly, compassionate and caring. I was so impressed with all the activities that are organised; and although my stay was only a short one, I did feel that this was so important for
long stay residents. If I have a small criticism it would be regarding the food. I found the meals rather stodgy and unhealthy, too much cream etc. Although I should say perhaps this is unfair as I was feels very nauseous due to medication. However this is such a small point and my congratulations to all management and staff on the way the home which run and grateful thanks to all.

My mother has been a resident at Honey Lane Care Home for over a year now, and I cannot praise the team highly enough. The care and attention she receives are consistently of a very high standard, and I have full confidence in the staff who look after her so kindly and respectfully.
Whenever I raise
a matter, the team act quickly, efficiently, and with genuine concern, ensuring that my mother's needs are always prioritised. What stands out most for me, however, is the support they give not only to her but also to me as a family member. Their guidance, reassurance, and willingness to go beyond the basics of care make a real difference during what can often be a challenging time.
Honey Lane is more than just a care home - it feels like a supportive community where both residents and families are treated with dignity, understanding, and compassion. I am truly grateful to the staff for their dedication and the peace of mind they provide.

The care home was extremely welcoming from the minute I arrived, throughout. The staff were kind and friendly making me feel actually cared for especially being transferred from the nearest hospital. Having such peace of mind I joined in as many activities as I wanted - again very enjoyable. I intend
spending all periods of respite here in the future. Activities offered were wide ranging. 'flew by' and were thoroughly enjoyed by all taking part. Whatever reason they had for being there. Clinical or social.

Our mum is thriving in Water Mill Care Home. Her participation in activities continue. Mum loves company, so leaving her alone in her room is not good for her. We had noticed a slippage in her care when mum moved floors from 1st to 3rd, so I think the handover could have been better, so that the new
floor got to know mum quicker. The importance and making and reading notes is imperative here. We raised our concerns and they have all been resolved now. The range of activities is excellent.
