Brooklands Care Home

From visiting on a regular basis with a close relative who has died to visiting a friend the care home is outstanding.They really make you feel inclusive very welcoming and they really respect and listen to the residents.Communication is key and from Cleaners to Managers, Nursing staff any concerns are addressed immediately. I feel the residents are all happy, engaged and treated with dignity.The range of activities and the weekly planner excels in engaging everyone ,and there is something for everyone regardless of residents abilities. They have the choice of participating and are offered regular trips out and about. The home is sparkling clean and each resident has their own private space, my friend says it's like a home from home. The food is exceptional and with lots of choice well balanced nutritional and restaurant worthy. Everybody is so inclusive making it feel like one big family and the staff are professional and a credit to the home. Excellence personified!

My mother has been here for around 2 months. There has been such an improvement in her. They are so lovely & so caring of her.

My mother moved into Brooklands in July, when sadly she was no longer able to manage @ home. We had looked at several Care Homes, but Brooklands was the only Home, after visiting, was the one we wanted our mother to come to. We were very impressed when we visited and have no regrets in Choosing Brooklands. We consider the staff exceptional in their care and friendliness. We believe the Home certainly goes the extra mile in all it does, and our Mum is happy.

My mums been here since November 2026. We have found the care staff are kind and happy to help her with what assistance she needs. Shes happy to be here and pleased we chose this care home for her. She has just said she has nothing bad to say about it.

My father was at Brooklands for 3 years. During that time we had a very positive experience. His physical health was well cared for and the staff did all they could to encourage him to engage with the activities that were going on. The staff were all very caring and made time to chat to him every day. They were also kind and caring to his family. During his last weeks he received very good care.

A safeguard incident happened at the home involving my mother's handbag & £25 which went missing. While Dean the senior care was extremely professional, taking all the details, ringing me 3 times on that day to report what action he had taken & how he had pasted the information over to managers. It is now 3 days later, without a single word from the home or manager. Since then my mother's handbag went missing and was later found hidden under the bathroom sink. Not only was £25 in notes taken but also several pound coins. I telephoned the home on Tuesday expecting to speak with the manager, who was apparently busy. I was told that staff had been searching for her money & handbag. I requested that this be reported to the local Safeguarding Team at the council in line with safeguarding policy. I have had no confirmation that this has taken place. My mother feeling safe at the home is a priority & it is appalling the way this situation has been dealt with by Brooklands Management team.

Staff ,carers always happy to help and reassure relatives and residents in a polite manner, treating with upmost respect. Taking time to make sure the residents are settled making them feel apart of a bigger family.

We began to look for a care home for our Mother about 6 weeks ago when it became apparent she needed more support than we could provide. Brooklands stood out from all the others we visited. On our initial visit we were asked all about Mum and what she liked. We were given a comprehensive tour and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Mum has since moved in and has settled in well. The activities are varied and tailored to residents to reflect their interests and there are regular outings too. Each time we visit we find all staff continue to be as friendly and welcoming as our first visit.

This is undoubtedly (in my view) an exemplar of care homes. My sister is currently a resident and has been treated with empathy, kindness and professionalism at all times. . The home appears to be very well run, with staff clear of their responsibilities and always showing an enormous degree of kindness and expert care. I feel that my sister is in safe environment and being cared for at the highest standard. When you do not live locally and can only visit once or twice a week that is extremely reassuring. The whole approach seems to me to be 'do as you would be done by' and staff appearing take into account individual needs of each resident and caring for them as if they are their own family. This is in my view an excellent and well run care home

From the moment we first visited Brooklands we knew this would be the best place for Mum to live for the remainder of her life. We were very impressed with the greeting we received on entry and were shona round the home and all the facilities available. Mums room was warm and cosy and had nice furniture. We were able to take her recliner chair in which was nice for her to have something familiar around her. Everyone we meet on our many visits was very friendly and cheerful and greeted us with a smile. The laundry service is excellant. Office staff very helpful. This would be first choice if I needed a home in the future. Thankyou to everyone

Our Dad was made so welcome. He enjoyed his chats with members of staff. Also the lounge was a place he enjoyed to sit chat & laugh with other residents. He loved his food, he couldn't fault it. He looked forward to meal times. Our Dad was taken great care of, he said it was homely. Our family and visitors were welcomed too. Our Dad really enjoyed his stay very much. Wife of Graham who attends day care twice a week. The staff always welcome Graham profusely and are so helpful. He doesn't want to join in much but they always all try to include him & talk to him, even letting him sit in the reception area a lot of the time. This care home is the only one that doesn't have a smell of urine overlain with a flowery smell! All in all, a lovely experience for Graham & I keep my sanity!

First visit here so based on first impression.

I will look forward to going back and visiting again.

Mum has been in Brooklands for 18 months now and is very settled. The staff are very friendly and caring and very welcoming to visitors.
