My room was ready when I arrived. The meals were all generous portions and nicely served. The lunchtime meals in the bistro were shared with my visiting husband daily, with a granddaughter twice and with my daughter and her husband. All were made to feel welcome. It was useful to have the week's programme
and I attended most 11:30 programmes, the afternoon concert and quiz. The keep-fit class was positive and worth attending. The afternoon concert was very entertaining and a high standard. Safety and security, anyone could come in any time.

I have come back for three weeks respite into Bridge House Care Home as I know I will be well looked after and cared for. The nurses and staff look after my every need and get me back to eating properly and ready to go home again.
This is my second time at Bridge House. The home is spotless and well-run.
My room is lovely. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Activities every day and plenty of tea and coffee and food. There is a cinema, gym, beauty and hair salon. You could wish for nothing else, it's a happy place.

The home is beautiful, like being in a stately home. There are carers ready to take account of your smallest need and to do it with a warm, friendly smile.
I stayed at the home for a short time as I have a lot of pain and have no one to care for me at home. However, I did find the lack of personal
autonomy difficult so will try to find additional support in my home.

My wife has been at Bridge House Care Home for two and a half years suffering from advanced dementia. She is generally happy in Bridge House and as I see her once a week, I have seen the high standard of care and life she has been encouraged to take part in activities, the home is good value for money
and hopefully, despite ing=flamitory costs, the increase next year will be less than 8%.

You ask me not to mention names, but there are staff names that I will not forget. Each has become a friend in his/her unique way. Thank you. I will never know how you do it, but I can pass in a corridor someone I have never seen before and hear myself greeted by name! It has been a formative experience
for me, to sit at a meal and talk with stroke victims (or those with a minor degree of dementia) and to find that, with a little listening and a question or two, I can bring the table to life with happy, if sometimes incomprehensible, chatter. I have not given the highest rating for food, but I can see your difficulties.

Marta

Marta Leszko

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

Marta has been part of the Carebase family since 2015 and, as a registered nurse and trained Dementia specialist, she has extensive elderly care experience.


Marta spent an earlier part of her career as Deputy Manager at Bridge House, before returning as Home Manager in 2022. She holds a master’s degree and Leadership and Management qualifications.


Marta is passionate about enabling our wonderful residents to live life to the fullest and providing expert guidance and support to families.


Speaking about her role at Bridge House, Marta said: “Nothing beats seeing residents smile, knowing they are happy and fulfilled. I’m proud to support and develop our wonderful team to deliver excellent care.”


In her spare time, Marta enjoys keeping active by cycling and doing Pilates. She also enjoys travelling and likes to relax by going to the cinema and spending time with friends.

Anita

Anita Radecka

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2016

Anita has been part of our Bridge House family since 2016. From a young age, Anita knew her future was in the care sector when she completed work experience in a hospice and found herself staying late and returning every weekend to spend time with patients. She loved being able to make a positive difference in people’s lives and that passion has definitely transferred to our residents, families and team at Bridge House. And, with extensive care experience including roles as carer, senior carer, head of care, care services manager, and deputy manager, she was our perfect choice for acting home manager.


Speaking about her position at Bridge House, Anita said: “I love how every day is different and that every day you have the opportunity to make someone smile, to make their day better and to have a positive difference – it’s really rewarding. I’m also proud to support and develop our amazing Bridge House team – they truly are exceptional.”


In her spare time, Anita enjoys spending time with her family; her husband Leion and little boy Isaac as well as enjoying a good movie and nice ice cream!
