After initial problems nearly 2 years ago when my husband first went in, concerning wether they would accept him as a permanent resident with early onset Alzeimers, which caused me much distress. I am very happy with his care in Bridge House. Changes in staff are always a concern but this is a problem in most care homes. Any other concerns are are discussed and dealt with in an open way, having always been resolved. There is a friendly and all permanent staff are cheerful and welcoming with a nice buzz about the place. The location is excellent and the mix of non-dementia residents plus members of the public belonging to the Rivaly Club ensure a 'normal' atmosphere as well as a caring one, which is what I was looking for.
Very good care. Lovely staff and great food.

My mother has been a resident in Bridge House for 6 months. She has settled in remarkably well. She feels secure and valued. The staff are really caring everyone stops to talk to each of the residents if they see them alone or even just to keep them company. There are activities every day and Mum loves being able to go to the Bistro to have a change of scenery. Visiting is open and you are always made to feel welcome.
Staff v friendly and helpful. Also kind, considerate and attentive to my Dad. The activities are good, although Dad only seems to join in occasionally. His bathroom could be kept cleaner. Thank you.

A kind and welcoming place in entrance hall. Smiling people who appear committed and happy in doing their duties when required, they are quick and relaxed in dealing with patient needs. My personal experience rates it as high.

All the staff have been excellent. They have made the process of my mother moving onto the next stage of her life much easier.

All the staff, from management, activity, reception to nurses and carers, have treated him with kindness and sensitivity. The food is excellent and he enjoys his meals. The manager is always available for discussion on any subject relevant to his care, as his wife and speaking for his other visitors we are always made welcome and made to feel at home. Having had difficulty making the decision that he needed full time care, I now know it was the correct decision and he is in the correct place.

There is such a wonderful, warm, homely and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk into the home. The staff all have smiles on their faces and are extremely freindly and helpful. The facilities are welcoming and very well set out and decorated with a great variety of things for the residents and their families to do. It is very evident that everyone cares greatly about the environment and the care that the residents receive and that is the most important thing that a relative can ask for. Bridge House feels welcoming, warm, homely, happy and safe!
Very pleased we came upon Bridge House. Father has settled very well. Run to a high standard with a family feel to the place. The care is excellent, a lot of nice food. So pleased a friend told us about the Bridge and cannot be more complimentary about the home.

My dad has had 2 respites with your home before I decided on full time care after a fall. I looked at other places but decided on Bridge House Care Home, I have always been delighted with the company set up. From the man on the reception, the driver, all staff are great.

It has a spa, gym, cinema and mini-bus facility, whose staff (especially bistro) are amazingly helpful. The manageress is very approachable (always) and takes on board any comments we have to make. Her understanding and compassion make her an ideal manageress, I think.
The care is good (most important of all!) as is the food. My one concern is fluid intake. My husband cannot ask for drinks, nor indicate that he is thirsty. Giving him drinks is time-consuming and I'm not sure that it happens, apart from meal times, when he is fed.
I have found the staff at Bridge House from the Management to front of house to be really friendly, patient and caring to both me and my friend. From the welcome we received when my friend first moved to Bridge House to the instance when the Manager sat with me to help me fully understand the...
The home is modern, clean, airy and really welcoming. Activities are varied and inclusive. The home is adjacent to the river and park which provides not only a nice outlook but also plentiful options for walks despite its town centre location.
Reception pleasant. Films good. Staff sometimes slow to respond to bell in rooms. Staff generally always helpful and lovely with residents. Building always warm. Shower near gym most inadequate and one in spa not always available. Gym well equipped.

My mother has been a resident since April 2015 and when it is sadly time for our relative to be placed in a home it is a very difficult time. You wish for a place where they will be well looked after, but also a place where you are comfortable and as ease as a visitor. Well at Bridge House as soon...
It is like walking into a 5 star hotel, very clean, open and light. As my mother has dementia she is on a secure floor, but again nothing is too much trouble. She is well looked after, really cared for, the staff always use Christian names and always have time to chat. There is a lovely bistro to go to, gym, hairdressers and beauty salon where residents are pampered. The home is immaculate and cleanliness is again 5 star, I am already contemplating my place.
Deciding that a care home is needed for mum was a very difficult choice. We visited several in the area. Bridge House made the choice easy. The love, support and care was the best we could hope for. At all times they listened to our comments and did their best to accommodate. Christmas was so...

She was treated with dignity and care.

Within a fifty mile radius Bridge House was the best home and we have not been disappointed coming here smoothly was achieved and has empowered my friend to be herself again. She is very happy, occupied well groomed and smiling all the time. We are able to relax and enjoy being with her again.

Coming to Bridge House has given me a new lease of life! I was nervous about it to start with but I'm so glad now that I've made the move. Bridge House provides the companionship I lacked and offers so much more than I expected. There is so much laid on for the residents. There's a wonderful bistro, health club and spa, a cinema, a gym - which I use everyday - a library, a bar, organised outings and lots and lots more. With all the home comforts that Bridge House offers, it really is the wonderful staff who make all the difference. So warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable and at "home" within a matter of days.

Anita has been part of our Bridge House family since 2016. From a young age, Anita knew her future was in the care sector when she completed work experience in a hospice and found herself staying late and returning every weekend to spend time with patients. She loved being able to make a positive difference in people’s lives and that passion has definitely transferred to our residents, families and team at Bridge House. And, with extensive care experience including roles as carer, senior carer, head of care, care services manager, and deputy manager, she was our perfect choice for acting home manager.
Speaking about her position at Bridge House, Anita said: “I love how every day is different and that every day you have the opportunity to make someone smile, to make their day better and to have a positive difference – it’s really rewarding. I’m also proud to support and develop our amazing Bridge House team – they truly are exceptional.”
In her spare time, Anita enjoys spending time with her family; her husband Leion and little boy Isaac as well as enjoying a good movie and nice ice cream!
