Beautiful home and lovely rooms. Lots of interesting activities take place to keep residents stimulated. Food is varied and high quality. I would not hesitate to recommend Bridge House to anyone looking for a care home to take good care of their loved one.
My husband was in Bridge House for fifteen months. He was well looked after by caring and attentive staff. The staff treat the residents with kindness and respect and are welcoming to visitors. Overall, it has a feeling of quiet calm.

I am very pleased with the care Mum has received over the past 7 years she has been resident at Bridge House. The home has responded and adapted to her changing needs, keeping her safe and well looked after. Communication with the home manager has always been excellent and a huge support. The activities team are outstanding, reaching out to the residents and organising engaging pastimes that Mum has very much enjoyed over the years. It is also a big plus having the lovely hair salon. Not least, I have always been made very welcome by all the staff when visiting and it is a pleasure to spend time with Mum in the friendly and caring environment of Bridge House.

The staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble and they are all kind and caring. Although covid made things difficult in relation to visiting etc everyone did what they could to allow my brother and me to have contact with my Mum. The staff who arranged the video calls were brilliant. Now things are back to normal my Mum has been out and about which she obviously enjoys. Although my Mum has found some aspects of living in a Care home difficult, we have never had to worry about the care she receives. Thank you to you all.
Outstanding care. My father was looked after by compassionate, patient and joyful staff for over five years. I am enormously grateful to Bridge House and all the incredible staff that work there and look after our most beloved ones.

Excellent facilities and garden. The activity coordinators are brilliant and organise a lot of activities. Have been some staff shortages, which has impacted on some aspects of care. I have seen some messy rooms and individuals after food times.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We were so saddened to read your thoughts and would urge you to come and speak to us about how you feel. As you know the past couple of years have been particularly difficult for the care industry and this has had an unavoidable impact on the recruitment of permanent team members across the sector. We have ensured that our staffing levels are maintained to meet the complex needs of our residents, however, at times, we have needed to enlist the support of trusted agency team members to ensure this. I would like to reassure you that we are working hard to recruit new permanent members and I’m happy to confirm there are a number of new members due to join us shortly, once all of our careful checks have been completed. Our team remains committed to continuously ensuring quality care is provided to our treasured residents and they continue to do all they can to ensure our residents remain happy, engaged and fully supported.
Staff attitude and qualities are exceptional, very caring and understanding in sometimes exceptional circumstances. Courteous and friendly at all times, such a lovely pleasant atmosphere everywhere within the home.

My mum looks better than she has in a long time - she is engaged and settled so well after a reluctant arrival. I have received photos of her looking happy this is very important to me. She is well looked after and well fed thank you.

No one ever makes you feel a nuisance. There is sometimes a difference of information – e.g. on whether or not masks need to be worn in the garden – as is sometimes a bit difficult to keep up with changes of information.

She has enjoyed the excellent events organised by the amazing events team, including the quizzes, singers and entertainment and in August this year enjoyed her 90th birthday. During Covid the staff have worked hard to keep everyone safe while ensuring the residents are still able to enjoy the events at the home.

Whilst fully appreciative of current circumstances, I’m struggling to see value for money. The furniture in the rooms is poor and the food leaves a lot to be desired. Overall positive but these failings need to be addressed.

I am very satisfied with the care that is given. The environment is meticulously kept both in the communal areas and the individual rooms. Each resident is helped to personalise their own room. There are also excellent communal facilities. The overall running of the home is professional and efficient. The office is well run and attends to all requests. The in front staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to solve problems. My impression is that the individual nursing care is very good. The overall health and well-being of the patients is their first concern. My brother has been the recipient of much loving-kindness at Bridge House which I know he really appreciates after a number of difficult years of home care by visiting home carers who were barely functional. As the cost of care at Bridge House is very high, I would be disappointed if I could not give this glowing report. My thanks to all the staff for their excellent work.

My partner has been a resident at Bridge House for 7 years. He is happy and settled. The carers are all so kind and loving that I know he is looked after in the best possible way. They know him so well they can recognize any change in his health or mood and react accordingly to bring a smile back to his face. I am kept informed of everything that affects his care and health, am made very welcome and always experience kindness and friendship from all the Bridge House Team.
Covid-19 has produced many challenges. I applaud the personal sacrifices made by the Bridge House team to ensure everyone's safety and well being and the ways you have enabled residents and families to keep in touch.
You are amazing. thank you for all the care and love you give my partner.
Could not have found a better home for my mum. Recent COVID restrictions in my view have been detrimental to her care but there has previously been more flexibility and who can tell where we go from here.

This last year of lockdowns has been extremely difficult for everyone and it has been difficult that we cannot visit Mum, but we know that she is being looked after by a great team. Nothing is too much trouble, even when we call all the time for updates. Mum is in the right place.

I am looking forward to being more involved as the pandemic eases but meanwhile I know that she is being well cared for.
Thank you.

Anita has been part of our Bridge House family since 2016. From a young age, Anita knew her future was in the care sector when she completed work experience in a hospice and found herself staying late and returning every weekend to spend time with patients. She loved being able to make a positive difference in people’s lives and that passion has definitely transferred to our residents, families and team at Bridge House. And, with extensive care experience including roles as carer, senior carer, head of care, care services manager, and deputy manager, she was our perfect choice for acting home manager.
Speaking about her position at Bridge House, Anita said: “I love how every day is different and that every day you have the opportunity to make someone smile, to make their day better and to have a positive difference – it’s really rewarding. I’m also proud to support and develop our amazing Bridge House team – they truly are exceptional.”
In her spare time, Anita enjoys spending time with her family; her husband Leion and little boy Isaac as well as enjoying a good movie and nice ice cream!
