I very much wanted my mother to go into Cherrywood Grange as I had heard such positive things and I am delighted to say I have not been disappointed, Mum joined eight months ago and the care has been excellent from day one, with staff understanding Mum's needs and caring for her so well and with dignity.
I have been very impressed with the daily activities programme and the Lifestyle team are the best. The management and admin teams are very friendly, caring and supportive and are always happy to make time for you should you have any concerns.

I am so delighted we found Alderwood it has transformed my mother in law's life and all round wellbeing. She is extremely well cared for and thoroughly enjoys participating in all the activities that Alderwood offers. Every single member of staff is kind caring and respectful towards her and warm
and welcoming to us when we visit. It is extremely well managed and the attention to detail in creating a home environment is heartwarming.Alderwood encourages a strong sense of community and organises a wide variety of events throughout the year that friends and family can enjoy with their loved ones. The recent fireworks evening was a shining example of hospitality they offer.

Mum has lived at Alderwood for over a year and everything about Alderwood is fantastic. The level of care she receives is exceptional, all the staff are so caring and professional. Everyone is so welcoming and there is always a lovely atmosphere. Mum loves doing all the activities and the regular days
out. The food is excellent, especially the cakes! The whole place is kept spotlessly clean.

Every single member of staff treat mum with kindness and respect which is all you could ever ask for. Alderwood is a beautiful home, always clean and is continuously updated and maintained. The daily
activities are excellent and I can't wait to see what they do at Christmas!

Ashbrook Court Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I needed some time to convalesce after emergency hip surgery, and Ashbrook Court had a room for respite. I stayed for two weeks. The care and support was just what I needed, moving from 24/7 support at first, and over the fortnight increasing my strength, mobility and independence. All the staff (carers,
cleaners, nurses, admin and management) were friendly, helpful and ready to engage unless there was an (occasional) emergency elsewhere. I wasn't there long enough to use the facilities though I gather there is a library and a cinema, plus gardens as well as day rooms.

Good food and plenty of it. Due to my dietary constraints I often had specially prepared meals, nothing was too much trouble. I was even given a tin of home-made biscuits as I left!

Honey Lane Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has been a resident at Honey Lane Care Home for over a year now, and I cannot praise the team highly enough. The care and attention she receives are consistently of a very high standard, and I have full confidence in the staff who look after her so kindly and respectfully.
Whenever I raise
a matter, the team act quickly, efficiently, and with genuine concern, ensuring that my mother's needs are always prioritised. What stands out most for me, however, is the support they give not only to her but also to me as a family member. Their guidance, reassurance, and willingness to go beyond the basics of care make a real difference during what can often be a challenging time.
Honey Lane is more than just a care home - it feels like a supportive community where both residents and families are treated with dignity, understanding, and compassion. I am truly grateful to the staff for their dedication and the peace of mind they provide.

The care home put on a fantastic carnival for the residents and their families. Some residents were up dancing while others clapped and sang along to the music. It was a lovely sunny day, all the carers were hot, but this did not stop them ensuring everyone had the best time.

Cherry Wood Grange Care Home

from Anne M (Friend of Resident) published on 19 September 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Cherry Wood Grange is the friendliest, most caring home I have ever visited. I have visited frequently over the last 9 months and always found the highest level of care and attention given to my friend and from observation, towards other residents also. The atmosphere of the home is welcoming and pleasantly
furnished. A real homely buzz! Every staff member that I have had contact with has been very friendly and very caring towards my friend which has helped her to happily settle into living here permanently. No need or request seems too small or too big to be attended to, and the care is approached in an individual and personal way. There are many social activities going on all week, something to suit everybody to enjoy and thoughtful fresh ideas for things to do.
My friend enjoys the Art class, visiting the cafe Bistro, the hair salon, the garden, the prayer club and the knitting club and has made a good friendship with a fellow resident. I most heartily recommend this home .

The care and compassion that is employed at Alderwoods is 2nd to none. I and the family are in no doubt that the expertise, commitment and understanding of Mums needs has been the main reason for Mum still being with us today. Her home for the last 4 1/2 years. They have engaged her in daily activities
and brought about much happiness.

Good staff engagement with the residents, making an effort to keep them stimulated with activities and outings, engaging their brains with songs and singing. Also welcoming to family and friends, offering refreshments. The home has a transparent approach as the family has the codes to visit any time.

Honey Lane Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father had been at Honey Lane for 3 years and we cannot praise the care and support that was given not only to him but to the family as well, they went above and beyond. Due to the dementia we had not seen my father for three years previously, even though we had tried he refused to see us. Under
their care he was reunited with us so we were able to see him to the extent that I took him out to the local pub every week for a meal and a rum and he attended family meals. For this we are so grateful. First of all he refused to come out of his room but again they encouraged him to socialise so that he eventually attended outings out and also sat in the day room. Each of the team that cared for him did so with compassion, patience and kindness. My father got taken to hospital and was placed into ICU, he was accompanied by a carer in the ambulance and waited until we got there. She was lovely and so kind and was upset that she couldn't sit with him. We cannot praise enough.

Cherry Wood Grange Care Home

from C G (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 June 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Dad moved to Cherry Wood Grange from another care home at the beginning of May. My Dad had more meaningful, stimulation in the first 48 hours of being at this care home than he had experienced in 5 months at the previous home.
The staff at Cherry Wood Grange are kind, warm and genuinely care about
their residents and resident's family. Everyone was keen to meet my Dad and actively asked questions about his likes, dislikes and the things that may upset him. Cherry Wood Grange has created a family feel that resident's family are also included in.
The communication has been excellent! I live a long way from this care home and my only weekly communication with my Dad is via video call. Day and night staff have helped me to have video calls with my Dad that fit around my working day and I don't feel like I'm being a nuisance when I call, which is lovely.
Cherry Wood Grange work really, hard to give their residence a life full of rich experiences and activities.
I feel hopeful for my Dad's future and don't worry continuously about him.
Thank you

My Mother has been a resident at Honey lane for the past 4 years. Due to Her advancing age and dementia. She could no longer look after Herself. She has been well cared for and treated very well despite Her condition. Sadly She is now at end of life phase. We are comforted in the fact that She
is safe and being treated with respect.

My sister has been in Alderwood Care Home for 9 years and has always been treated with respect and has received exceptional care. She is happy here. I did not expect my sister to live such a long and healthy life once she was diagnosed with dementia, but the staff and management at Alderwood have
