Review of Claremont Court Care Home from A C (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 27 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I cannot recommend Claremont Court highly enough. The staff treat every resident with genuine kindness dignity and respect creating a warm and caring environment. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit.
The staff are attentive, compassionate and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the residents are comfortable and content. They understand my mother- in-law and respect her wishes at all times. They ensure the residents are comfortable, safe and happy.
Communication with families is excellent, we are always kept informed and involved.
The home is clean, well maintained and has a very welcoming atmosphere. There are plenty of activities for residents and families to socialise and be together. They have regular outings, which my mother-in-particularly enjoys.

Knowing my mother-in-law is receiving such high quality care gives our family great peace of mind. We are very grateful to all the staff for their dedication, professionalism and compassion.

After a negative experience with a care home for my dad, I was very hesitant but I had nothing to be worried about. The love, care and support you showed my mum + the family was second to none. You cared for her like she was family even after her passing. I wish all care homes were like you.

Comment: My wife arrived at Claremont in April 2024, having transferred from a care home who were unable to provide the required level of care. It is immediately obvious that Claremont offers and delivers something special to their residents. In addition, they realise the importance of keeping the resident's family fully informed of all aspects relating to the individual's care. Medical issues receive prompt attention and the necessary action. On every visit to Claremont, you are aware of and witness the care and kindness shown by all the staff towards every resident. Family and visiting friends remark on the dedicated care so professionally provided, always with a smile. I and my family, are so fortunate to have found Claremont and so, so, relieved to know that my wife is receiving and benefiting from the exceptional care provided. We are fortunate to have the support of our immediate and extended family and friends. All at Claremont are friends and part of that extended family.

My mum continues to receive exemplary care from Karen and her team. I visit about 3 times a week and my mum has been at Claremont almost a year. I have never seen or heard anything regarding my mum or any other resident that I have thought is less than fantastic. I am writing this review from Greece having seen my mum last night who said not to worry about her as she loves Claremont and she genuinely does. She feels safe, is happy and it's spotless. If I get dementia it's where I've told my children that I want to be.

Claremont Court always impresses with their attention to detail. During the current heatwave so much attention is paid to keeping residents hydrated and cool which is particularly important as many of the residents are unaware of being overheated.
Outings have been adjusted as have activities to meet the current circumstances.
I always feel my husband is listened to and his wishes respected.

The lovely staff feel like family to us which is wonderful as dementia shrinks your circle of friends.

I would like to thank Pooja for administering first aid on my mother and preventing her from choking . I would also like to thanks Samee - Nurse for explaining this to me and also for Timothy - from the Care Staff Team for his kindness and care for my mother. I really appreciate Nandu's help looking after my mother plus Shail also. It was a pleasure to meet the above when I last visited.

I cannot praise Claremont Court enough, each department excels. Their understanding of Dementia and therefore the support their residents need (and relatives of those residents) cannot be underestimated. Knowing mum is safe, treated with dignity and respect, is well cared for and content in her home is all our family could hope for.

Having had experience of other nursing homes, I can confidently and honestly say that Claremont Court is best in class.

Review of Claremont Court Care Home from G S (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Mum moved to Claremont Court in January with all the typical challenging quirks of dementia. Sadly, she endured being moved in and out of two previous care homes as they were unable to meet her needs. Claremont Court took every one of her challenging behaviours in their stride - they invested time to learn about Mum's likes, dislikes and triggers. Vitally, every carer knows to adjust THEIR responses rather than expecting an elderly lady with dementia to adjust HERS. They have monitored and altered Mum's medication (actually reducing some medication which the previous home had ramped up in order to make Mum easier for them to look after).

Visiting Mum has become less stressful, it used to be distressing for her and me. I am safe in the knowledge that I can trust Claremont Court with her care. On good days, I even manage to catch glimpses of my dear old Mum as I used to know her.

Review of Claremont Court Care Home from Emma B (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Claremont court was recommended to us by a friend, making the decision to put my mother into a home was very difficult but the home manager and her staff made us feel very confidant that we were making the right decision.
They are so kind and caring and provide such a high level of care that we don't worry about mum now, we know she is looked after and supported but also still encouraged to participate in the huge amount of activities that the home organises.
What has struck all of my family is that whatever time of day you go and visit, every staff member from the nurses to the cleaners to the hairdresser know who mum is and where she is.
As mums health declines we are constantly kept up to date with doctors visits and new care plans or strategies.

The home is always spotless and well maintained and there is always music on or an activity to join. It is a lovely place to be with mum.

We wanted to write to you to express our utmost gratitude for taking care of my father in law in his final days. We know you only had him for less than 48 hours but we felt sure that he knew he was being cared for in the most professional and caring way possible. There was nothing you wouldn't do for him and you took great care of us too. We know that you pride yourself on providing a home from home atmosphere and we felt you certainly did that. Thank you. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
All of your staff were so kind, with everyone of them greeting us or giving final farewells to the family. That doesn't happen without great leadership and staff feeling valued.

We, as a family, would highly recommend this lovely caring Acorn Court Care Home.

Review of Acorn Court Care Home from Sara M (Friend of Resident) published on 16 March 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

It was a big decision choosing a care home for a dear friend, and we are very thankful we found Acorn Court.

This modern, accessible building houses an incredibly professional, dedicated and caring team.

The management is seriously impressive - great communicators who helped us navigate the complexities of the care system and funding options during a very difficult time. We remain immensely grateful.

The senior nursing team is superb and the level of communication excellent. They always took the time to explain what was happening, our options and decisions that had to be made. That caring ethos is evident throughout the staff - everybody we met over the weeks went about their work with a calm and caring professionalism.

Sadly our friend passed away shortly after and Acorn Court again supported us through the process, combining their knowledge with tenderness and respect.

The level of care and support provided is outstanding throughout.

Thank you Acorn Court.

My brother, for whom I hold Power of Attorney, has been a resident for almost a year and I am so pleased with our choice of home. The staff are very professional but also friendly, kind and compassionate. He has dementia but the staff always treat him with dignity and respect.

QEP has a very happy, homely feel and visitors are always warmly welcomed with a smile.
