Cherry Wood Grange Care Home provides high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care in beautiful surroundings. The award-winning team is dedicated to making every day meaningful for their residents by delivering personalised, compassionate care.

There is a varied schedule of stimulating activities to suit all interests and abilities; from art lessons, to choir practice, yoga and mindfulness classes, sensory therapies and live music performances. Residents are supported to enjoy regular outings to local places of interest on the minibus and maintain meaningful connections with the local community.

And with soothing lighting and aromatherapy, relaxing hand massages, and sound therapy, residents can experience multi-sensory relaxation as part of a group, or in the comfort of their own bedroom, during regular Namaste Care sessions.

Cherry Wood Grange is the friendliest, most caring home I have ever visited. I have visited frequently over the last 9 months and always found the highest level of care and attention given to my friend and from observation, towards other residents also. The atmosphere of the home is welcoming and pleasantly
furnished. A real homely buzz! Every staff member that I have had contact with has been very friendly and very caring towards my friend which has helped her to happily settle into living here permanently. No need or request seems too small or too big to be attended to, and the care is approached in an individual and personal way. There are many social activities going on all week, something to suit everybody to enjoy and thoughtful fresh ideas for things to do.
My friend enjoys the Art class, visiting the cafe Bistro, the hair salon, the garden, the prayer club and the knitting club and has made a good friendship with a fellow resident. I most heartily recommend this home .

My Dad moved to Cherry Wood Grange from another care home at the beginning of May. My Dad had more meaningful, stimulation in the first 48 hours of being at this care home than he had experienced in 5 months at the previous home.
The staff at Cherry Wood Grange are kind, warm and genuinely care about
their residents and resident's family. Everyone was keen to meet my Dad and actively asked questions about his likes, dislikes and the things that may upset him. Cherry Wood Grange has created a family feel that resident's family are also included in.
The communication has been excellent! I live a long way from this care home and my only weekly communication with my Dad is via video call. Day and night staff have helped me to have video calls with my Dad that fit around my working day and I don't feel like I'm being a nuisance when I call, which is lovely.
Cherry Wood Grange work really, hard to give their residence a life full of rich experiences and activities.
I feel hopeful for my Dad's future and don't worry continuously about him.

The staff are all friendly, helpful and kind. I cannot speak too highly about the way my father has been cared for. There is nothing that is too much trouble and during what is a difficult period the care staff have always had time to keep the family informed. I have already recommended the home to

Mum has been at Cherry Wood Grange Care Home for nearly 6 months now and in that time she has become so much more involved and happy to have help. The staff at Cherry Wood are amazing - they find out what the residents like to do and then help make their wishes come true. Their care and sensitivity
to the residents needs are excellent and the quality of provision in all areas is very high.
Cherry Wood Grange is always very clean and the range of food options is extensive. The important thing for me is that mum is well cared for with awareness of her needs and feelings.

I am writing this review on behalf of myself and my sisters. Our mum has resided at Cherry Wood Grange Care Home for 5 and a half years, initially on Dementia Floor and more recently on Nursing. Very sadly, she has now died but I really have to compliment the nurses, carers and whole team at Cherry
Wood for the exemplary care our mum received. The whole family at Cherry Wood work very hard to provide a loving and caring environment and cared for mum as if she were their own. The team and particularly the highly skilled nurses supported us through the difficult days before mum died, with expertise, care, kindness, practical help and lovely hugs when we needed them. Throughout her years at Cherry Wood, we have felt listened to and supported as mum's condition progressed. Cherry Wood is a great credit to your company.

The warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff were amazing and treated our mum with love respect and dignity with her care. They always had time to talk to us, offer their support to us and the family and listen to our wishes. The staff showed love, affection and dedication supporting us when mum passed

Having visited a fair number of care homes with my Mother, it was easily decided that Cherry Wood stood out from the rest. My Mother has been a resident since October 2023 and has settled very well making new friends along the way. Staff are genuinely caring and passionate about their role displaying
brilliant levels of communication across the team and Management. My Mothers standard of care and the activities provided are always on a constant level which we see each time we visit. Well done!

My Mother has lived in this home for 6 years, over this period she has developed dementia which has been managed so well by the staff. As her condition and needs changed the staff at the home have accommodated her and have given the care and attention that was appropriate. This minimises any stress.
My Mother still gets confused but is accepted by those around her - both fellow residents and staff, as a result my Mother is enjoying her final years and is still finding an interest and reason for living: so important at her stage in life!

Mum has been a resident at Cherry Wood for a number of years now, and we have always been extremely happy with the care Mum receives. Mum always looks happy and content, the whole team is amazing from managers, carers, activity coordinators to cleaners. They say "A home is only as good as the staff."
And this appeals to Cherry Wood! Cherry Wood has allowed me to be a daughter again and not just Mum's carer. A big heartfelt thank you.

My Mother-in-law has been in the home for many years. They have always gone above and beyond our expectations. Recently my Mother-in-law was taken to hospital after a fall. Our kind and caring home manager Sue has worked in health and social care for almost 30 years and has a wealth of experience in strategic and operational roles. Sue spent much of her career at Runwood Homes, where, as their Regional Care Director, she commissioned and established new homes for the care group.


A natural leader, Sue enjoys leading and supporting her team and strives for excellence in delivering compassionate care.


During her career, Sue has been Regional Care Director for Runwood as well as ran three large care homes for older people, consistently achieving improved Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings. She has also held specialist roles within Operations, Marketing and Customer Care.


Speaking about her role at Cherry Wood Grange, Sue said: “I’m proud to lead our wonderful, skilled and caring team. Our focus is on providing consistent, high-quality, care tailored to individual needs. Nothing makes me happier than seeing our resident’s enjoying life with us and the reassurance that this gives our families.”


When not looking after our treasured residents, Sue enjoys travelling with her husband, having explored much of the UK in their motorhome. She also loves to spend time with her grown-up children and her 9 grandchildren! She likes to relax by gardening, writing poems and practising photography.
