Cherry Wood Grange Care Home

We are so pleased Mum was cared for at Cherry Wood Grange. The management and staff are second to none. Not only did they look after Mum in a caring and dignified way, they also always looked after us, her family too. From the moment you come into reception until you leave, it is just amazing. Every little detail is thought about. Thank you.

Having visited a fair number of care homes with my Mother, it was easily decided that Cherry Wood stood out from the rest. My Mother has been a resident since October 2023 and has settled very well making new friends along the way. Staff are genuinely caring and passionate about their role displaying brilliant levels of communication across the team and Management. My Mothers standard of care and the activities provided are always on a constant level which we see each time we visit. Well done!

My wife and I have visited my dear friend on three occasions recently. We have found your staff welcoming and cheerful. We have found it spotlessly clean and visiting near mealtimes have found the smell of serving food appeasing. Our friend speaks very highly of your care and kindness. My Mother has lived in this home for 6 years, over this period she has developed dementia which has been managed so well by the staff. As her condition and needs changed the staff at the home have accommodated her and have given the care and attention that was appropriate. This minimises any stress. My Mother still gets confused but is accepted by those around her - both fellow residents and staff, as a result my Mother is enjoying her final years and is still finding an interest and reason for living: so important at her stage in life!

Mum has been a resident at Cherry Wood for a number of years now, and we have always been extremely happy with the care Mum receives. Mum always looks happy and content, the whole team is amazing from managers, carers, activity coordinators to cleaners. They say "A home is only as good as the staff." And this appeals to Cherry Wood! Cherry Wood has allowed me to be a daughter again and not just Mum's carer. A big heartfelt thank you.

My Mother-in-law has been in the home for many years. They have always gone above and beyond our expectations. Recently my Mother-in-law was taken to hospital after a fall. The staff were with her during the ordeal and were a great support to her in the days following the incident; ensuring a speedy recovery and regular checkups.

Over the moon with the care my Mum receives from all the staff at Cherry Wood Grange.

My Father has been a resident of Cherry Wood Grange for several months and is being very well cared for. The staff does a great job with activities and days out, he has recently been taken to the seaside, which I know he loved. He's often taken out and this gives him a massive amount of enjoyment. The food at the home, décor, facilities, and care are all great. We are very happy, and most importantly, so is my Father.

My Mum had a wonderful day and came back laughing (a sound I miss). Always included, plenty of happy staff. It's a cheerful place.

The dementia unit provides care which exudes kindness, patience and personal attention despite the challenges. My relative's impression is that there is lots to do, people are friendly and the food is nice. The team makes every area feel safe; the layout is excellent, which I feel helps residents and relatives and presumably staff alike. This is a happy place, one that welcomes you into the 'family' already there.

My father arrived at Cherry Wood Grange having come from hospital in the middle of January 2024. On his arrival, he was in a desperately sorry state - so frail, weak, frightened and incredibly tragic. My father has continued to get better and better and so much stronger. His confusion is his life and inability to walk but we couldn't be any happier with the care, kindness and interaction he is receiving. We feel so blessed he is at Cherry Wood - he is happy and you can see it and so can we - over the moon!!

We can see by the smile on our sister's face that she is well looked after by experienced and caring staff in a spotlessly clean, bright and pleasant room. The whole nursing home is maintained to a very high standard and staff are very welcoming to visitors.

Having visited Cherry Wood Grange today I was really impressed with the structure of the building, it is a really lovely design and is kept in pristine condition - I was instantly impressed at the cleanliness and neatness of all aspects, toilets, rooms, reception - everywhere was truly first-class. The staff are smart and very caring in all, I am of the opinion that Cherry Wood Grange provides a first-class environment for all of those fortunate enough to receive their services.

Cherry Wood Grange is unlike any care home I have ever experienced. The manager and her whole team clearly love their jobs and our dad is settling in well and very content, which is a great relief to us all. I cannot recommend the place highly enough - it feels like one big family where nothing is too much trouble and the care is top-notch. Thank you!

My mother-in-law moved here after living with us for some years and is already very settled and happy. She is enjoying the atmosphere and the constant stimulation.

Cherry Wood has ensured my mum has had a wonderful relaxed and positive transition from home to living here. The staff have all been friendly, communicative and available to us all. Mum loves the daily fun activities, the meals and the companionship. She is more relaxed than I have seen her for many months.

Cherrywood Grange is a first class care home, with first class people working there. The level of care and support they provide, to both residents and the loved ones of residents, is just amazing. They do their utmost for those they have the responsibility for.

From the first viewing we were very impressed with the friendly atmosphere and professional people. It was nice that each room was treated as own home with residents allowed to put their own possessions in.
