The Review Score of 9.5 (maximum of 10) for Bramley Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 21 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Bramley Court in Google's Search Results - more info
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.
The Average Rating of 4.624 for Bramley Court is calculated as follows: ( (159 Excellents x 5) + (88 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 250 Ratings = 4.624
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.
1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.
If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.
The 4.833 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bramley Court is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:
3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

I am happy my husband is being well cared for and safe in the Bramley Court environment. From being almost totally immobile and unable to stand in September, due to the help from the physiotherapists he is now able to move with assistance which is a terrific boost to his general wellbeing.

The home is run well with many activities which will give something for everyone. The recent building work has updated many facilities. The staff are friendly and caring and know their residents well.
The food is plentiful and always looks appealing and appetising. A strong plus for people suffering dementia. We feel the home suits our mum well and pleased she is able to be a resident in Bramley Court

My father-in-law has been at the home since May 2017. He took a while to settle and was very unhappy and agitated. After approx 3 weeks he began to settle with a very large input from excellent care staff. He now appears happy and content and is often helping staff in the kitchenette. This is a familiar taste and he appears to like to be needed.

The home tries very hard to include all members of the home in daily activities. They are very thorough in getting the care plans right so the residents get the right care for their needs. Residents seem very happy which speaks volumes.

Bramley Court care home, where my husband has been since April 2017 have given him love, attention and empathy during his time there. They have been wonderful with him and acted over and above what is needed. For example, they took him in a car to Ely, where at his request had fish and chips, then to the river where they had a bottle of prosecco in the car and gave my husband and I a glass each. Cushions and blanket taken for his comfort.

My mother has been at Bramley Court for three months now and we are most impressed by the care and the range of activities on offer.
All the staff are caring, kind and sensitive to my mother's needs. She is supported in an unobtrusive and respectful manner, which allows her to retain her dignity despite having dementia. My mother is excited to be involved in the various activities and trips which are available.

My wife has been in Bramley Court for three years, the home is well run and the staff are very good indeed. Bramley has become part of my family now. The staff are all so happy and friendly and I could not ask for more with the love and affection they show to both I and my wife. Bramley Court makes my life that much easier to live without my wife because they care for us both really.

Excellent room, lovely caring staff, plentiful good food, good facilities (community room etc) activities to keep residents occupied if required.
Two very minor puzzles, There was a non-functioning clock was in my mother's room which when I provided batteries worked fine, although there was nowhere to hang it, why was it there?
Also, my mother has a pain relief patch in the daytime, the carers were not allowed to touch them and the nurses seemed very random in applying/removing, sometimes missing altogether.
Hopefully both of these would be resolved during a longer stay.

My mother was unwell when she came into the care of the staff at Bramley Court, she was made to feel very at home by everyone and she settled surprisingly quickly. After a week they had managed to encourage her to eat in the dining room sometimes, and to even to on an outing. I was amazed at the difference in her, she now has some bad days but when she feels better she seems to enjoy.

We continue to be very impressed by the care, professionalism and warm friendliness of the staff. My aunt has dementia and Parkinson's and they are patient with her at all times. They are excellent at caring for her physical and emotional needs, as her condition has deteriorated. We could not be more pleased. The room is clean and her clothes are well maintained.

My mother lived at Bramley Court for the last 7 and a half years of her life, initially with residential care and later with dementia care. I can very highly recommend it. In particular the care staff were wonderful, always attentive, caring and ensuring her well-being. Management of the home was not entirely satisfactory during the first few years, but in the last 4 years has been very good.

Since my father-in-law moved in last August we have had nothing but praise for Bramley. They have made him feel very safe and he is now eating a normal healthy diet and is kept clean and presentable. He is so happy with all the staff, which gives us peace of mind when we go on holidays. Any queries or concerns we have are taken on board straight away or have already been picked up and noted. We are so pleased he is in Bramley and know that his final years will be happy and safe.
