I stayed at Bramley Court for 3 weeks respite. It was a wonderful experience. The staff couldn't do enough for me. The room, the food, the activities were all fabulous. I can't wait to come back.

I regularly visit Bramley Court and am always greeted with a smile and a friendly face and she always has time to exchange a few words with the receptionist.
The place is always clean and tidy.
There are always several carers around who are always polite and pleasant.
The security of lift doors and floors is great.

Have stayed to eat and also attended a few sing songs and always made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble.

I have visited Bramley on a few occasions and have always been pleased with the warm welcome/genuine care I can see being provided to residents.
My great-auntie-in-law has mixed dementia, we can see a huge improvement in her personality and mood by being at Bramley, she very much enjoys the activities organised.

Thank you Bramley, for allowing residents to continue living their lives with fulfilment.

Brilliant, Bramley Court Care Home richly deserves its second consecutive CQC rating of 'outstanding' and excels in all areas: wonderfully kind, compassionate and dedicated staff across the board; excellent care; varied menu of tasty, home-cooked meals and snacks; a vibrant programme of activities both inside and outside the home; stylish, homely decor; delightful 'wrap-around' garden with several 'activities chalets' including a gym and large, comfy covered seating area. Most warmly and gratefully recommended as an exceptional 'home from home' and our 'happy place'. The Bramley family ethos is very real: the residents are so loved and cherished - the heartwarming social media posts and comments say it all!

My mother has been a resident at Bramley Court Care Home for 6+ years. While vascular dementia has taken a toll the continuity of care from day one has been excellent. This week my mother achieved the grand age of 100 years. The staff helped set up the Private Dining Room on Pear to allow a small family gathering in celebration. When I arrived for the event I was overwhelmed and emotional at the thoughtfulness the staff had in putting a memorable celebration on. Beside the greetings from the King and Queen they had created a card with Queen Elizabeth II on it as this is whom my mother identifies with most. Balloons, snacks and drinks helped seal the event. I cannot thank the staff at Bramley Court enough - excellent across time.

My mother has been a resident at Bramley Court for about seven months. I live in Scotland, so this was my first visit. I was so impressed by the ethos of the home. The staff are so friendly and attentive - Not only to residents but family too. I appreciate the focus on residents as people. The focus is not clinical but friendly. I feel much happier seeing my mum is looked after so well.

Reply from Judith Wroe, Home Manager at Bramley Court Care Home

Mum moved to Bramley Court three months ago as she needed 24-hour nursing care. She was given such a warm welcome and settled in very quickly. The facilities are outstanding and she has benefitted from all the activities and good food on offer with a definite improvement in her health. The key has been the warmth, compassion and professionalism of all the staff who pride themselves on creating a family atmosphere for all the residents and relatives. I'm so happy we found Bramley Court for Mum - I can't fault it.

Faultless throughout the whole process of choosing a care home. Everyone at the home cares immensely about its residents, and it shows. Rooms are bright and spacious throughout the home, and everywhere is clean and well-presented.
One staff member, in particular, has been thoroughly professional and caring throughout, from viewing initially to now moving in; all his team members are so friendly and thoughtful.

So glad we were able to get our parents into such a nice home-from-home place.

I am not sure what I was expecting, but I knew I needed respite care. By the end of two weeks, I came home feeling refreshed, having received much kindness and care. The food, most of the time, was excellent, although I am not sure what was going on with the soup, which contained so much salt it blotted out the flavour of the soup. On the other hand, Sunday lunch was delicious. Really appreciated the various activities each day; there was something for everyone.

Mum receives excellent care from all team members. When visiting Mum she is always well-presented in clean clothes. This is important to Mum, as she was always meticulous in her appearance. All the events, including those Bramley, put on for residents' families to attend, were fully inclusive. A huge amount of effort was made to make the home look amazing for Christmas. As a family member of someone in Bramley, I am always welcomed when I visit and I feel my welfare is valid too. When I take Mum for a trip out, when I bring her back she is welcomed with warm hugs, which produces huge smiles from Mum. This makes me confident that Mum is happy and content in her home at Bramley.

Mum is so well taken care of! The staff go above and beyond to make sure she and the other residents are safe, loved, engaged and busy. They take her out for walks most days and organize fun activities multiple times a day to keep someone like my mother mentally stimulated. And they truly care about everyone's well-being!

Overall Experience
Mum has been a resident at Bramley Court for 16 months. She has received excellent care and she always says how much she likes all the staff. Mum has had a couple of illnesses in these 16 months and the care staff have always been on top of the situation, calling in the doctors when required and keeping me informed. This has obviously been a difficult period for care homes but visiting has been kept as open as possible and we have always been kept well-informed about changes in visiting arrangements. The environment is lovely, and the home goes to great lengths to provide activities and trips.

While not the cheapest in the area, for peace of mind knowing mum is in a good place and is being well looked after we are very happy with our choice of the care home.

We moved our mum here from another home which had sold itself well but where we weren't at all happy with the actual standard or level of care. The staff at Bramley Court worked actively with us to help her settle and feel safe in her new surroundings. It's already clear that she feels much safer now. The staff are friendly, kind, and attentive, and the atmosphere is good. Lots of effort is put into providing a range of activities for residents, and when I went in one day when activities were on hold because of a Covid outbreak I found a staff member in my mum's room, looking through photographs with her and chatting. Bramley Court feels reassuring for me because it feels genuine - the care for and engagement with the residents seem real, so I don't worry about my mum between visits.

We have been part of the Bramley Court Care Home family since February 2017 and both my mother and my mother-in-law have been residents. We have always been happy with the service provided and have never felt uneasy about any aspect of care. We would certainly advise any friends to get in touch with Bramley Court if the need for residential care arose.
