Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, including every other weekend - 28 hours a week

The Role

As a Senior Day Care Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to residents, particularly those living with dementia.

Working within a small household of around 10 residents, you will:

  • Support with personal care and administering medication
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team of care staff
  • Ensure care delivery consistently meets the highest standards
  • Manage the staffing rota to meet the diverse needs of residents
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive home environment

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need to have completed or be willing to complete one of the following:

  • Book 1 of the All-Wales Induction Framework (on starting with a new social care employer), or complete the full Framework within 6 months
  • A recognised Health & Social Care qualification (Level 2 or 3 Diploma, QCF, NVQ) or be a Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • Commitment to completing a City & Guilds Level 3 Health & Social Care / Practice qualification and maintain registration with Social Care Wales
