Job summary

Lead Gardener

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Gardener to take charge of the gardens and grounds at a well-established residential property. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine your horticultural knowledge with team leadership to keep the grounds looking their best all year round.

About the role:
As Lead Gardener, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day care and ongoing development of the gardens. That includes lawn care, hedge cutting, borders, planting schemes and greenhouse management, as well as ensuring plant health and propagation. You’ll also oversee a small team of gardeners, planning workloads and supporting them to deliver high standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • A solid background in professional gardening, landscaping or estate maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of plants, propagation and seasonal gardening.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring others.
  • Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating spaces people can enjoy.
