Review of

Ivy Court

from Rachel A (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
Both my parents died in Ivy Court last year. The carers were excellent and treated them with genuine care and dignity. I cannot fault the frontline staff at all.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for management. A valuable ring belonging to my mum was removed and lost. She had three rings; two
were later found, one was not. At that point Mum was immobile and barely responsive, so she did not remove or lose it herself.
I raised this immediately and was fobbed off until I made it formal. The manager did not speak to me properly, got my name wrong, and referred to a policy we were never shown or given, despite me stating this several times. It was then used in her final response to my complaint. Referring to unissued policies is not a defence, and would not stand up to scrutiny, had there actually been any.
Losing Mum was hard enough. Knowing someone now has her ring, and that management showed no accountability or care, made it far worse.
Reply from Stacey Dean Dean, Manager at Ivy CourtThank you for your review, we agree that we have a fantastic team here at Ivy Court who go above and beyond to care for our residents. I can't comment further on the concerns you have raised here but I am saddened that you feel this way. I wish you all the best in the future.

Woodbury Court

from Jane H (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum has been part of the Woodbury Court Family since mid March 2025. I can honestly say that the care, respect & "looking after" Mum receives is excellent. They have taken time to get to know Mum and how she likes things done without being intrusive - just caring, Mum's care, dignity and respect
is the number one priority everyday. The management team are approachable and always make time to listen and address any issue / worry you may have - nothing is too much trouble, especially in relation to Mum.
I'm so grateful to all the team for all they do for Mum everyday - one of the hardest decisions Mum had to make has been made so much easier and very much the right one for Mum.
Thank you all - caring, respectful & dignified 5 star plus every day.

My mum is a resident at this care home. Very happy with the standards of care at Oldfield. The staff here are lovely and friendly. Very friendly atmosphere. All the residents enjoy lots of daily activities. A weekly hairdresser makes all the residents feel amazing. Regular day trips are planned and
there are individual activities customised to each resident. Food always smells lovely. Domestic staff work really hard to deliver a clean and fresh home with each resident's bedroom cleaned daily and regular checks made. Communal areas are kept to a high standard. I would recommend the home to anyone who is looking for somewhere for a loved one.

After making the very difficult decision to put mum into full time care due to dementia - we needn't have worried. From the first day she went in in July 2024 to now mum has received the very best care at Westwood. All of the staff are fantastic from management, carers and support staff, caretakers,
chefs: Nothing is too much trouble. We as a family are very grateful for the care she receives. Would highly recommended Westwood! Can't thank all involved enough - brilliant!

The care and support given to my mother is second to none. She is totally incontinent and unable to move around. Her room is always clean and tidy, and she is always treated with dignity, even when she can become very awkward. Food is always cooked fresh they and if my mother doesn't want what's on
offer, they will put themselves out to make her what she wants. Excellent home where I know she is well cared for.

Since Michelle has taken over as the new manager she has been very quick to deal with all my concerns and ensuring my husband has the best care possible. She is very approachable and always makes time to listen. Caldwell Grange is now such a happier environment to visit and I feel reassured having my
husband stay here. Well done Michelle keep your good work up. Liz

My mum has been here nearly five years and we are so happy. My mum has dementia and the staff understand the condition so well. They know mum well and ensure she is encouraged to attend her favourite events. The staff are friendly and welcoming and meetings for relatives very informative. Mum likes
the food and many cups of tea!!

I was making arrangement for my wife to be admitted to care home.
The staff showed me around the complex I was impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I have since admitted my wife to their care and she is more old self and I feel a great sense of relief on her surroundings and
the way they staff are treating her.

I have been in Bramwell for 8 wks, I have slowly settled in and have made a friend which is helpful for my happiness. The staff are all very kind and a lot of staff speak too quickly for me to understand. The home is lovely and clean and a good temperature. The food is very good but the choice of sandwich
fillings is a bit limited, as is the choice of bread; always white sliced - some variation might be nice.

When visiting my father, the atmosphere is always calm and relaxed. The staff are always on hand when needed for all residents and visitors even when they are busy they will make the time. Lots of activities are always provided to keep the residents occupied which is good to break the long days up.
Everywhere is kept so clean and tidy.

My father went into Mulberry Court on emergency respite care, which then became permanent. The staff have worked very hard to understand and cater for his specific needs, we are so grateful. We feel Dad is very well supported in both his medical and personal needs. Dad is very happy and settled in his
environment. He loves food, and he enjoys everything he's given.
As a family who visit often, we are always greeted by the staff with smiles and conversations to fill us in on how he's been.
It was very hard to put Dad into residential care, but we are so pleased and happy with the support that we have received from Mulberry Court.

I have always been pleased with the staff and well being of aunt when visiting her. The only negative feedback I have is that I feel that the internal/external doors should be automated to allow one person to push a wheelchair through. Also I would like to see ID being warn by the staff or name tags.
