They treat him with dignity, warmth and respect every single day. Knowing he is safe, understood and cared for so thoughtfully has given us enormous comfort and peace of mind.
Staff have supported him and are very aware of his little ways which keeps him active, and he is fully aware of his surroundings.

The entry system needs updating, if staff were busy it could take a while to gain entry.

My beautiful Mum had a bad stroke before Christmas. The hospital wanted her out even though she hadn't even been put on a stroke ward. She hadn't eaten or drunk anything so was put on fluids. Yesterday my mum was returned to Leatherland Lodge South Ockendon. Within 24 hours the staff who adore their residents have got her to eat and drink and even done some walking. It's a miracle. Their care and love for these older people goes way beyond any other care home I have come across. Amazing dedication from all of these wonderful people. Thank you so much for everything you do

They have done their utmost to help my loved one way beyond my expectations. However, his dementia sadly progressed quite rapidly and he has recently moved to the hospital for more specialised help. He made some good friends at the home, especially among the staff. A huge thank you to the team for everything you've done for him and also for the support you've given to me.
