I found the staff in all areas were very kind and thoughtful. The care my mother received was excellent. The food offered was very good. If there was any downside it was when there was a shortage of staff, but despite this, the existing staff coped with a smile on their faces. Some kitchen facilities could be improved by extra financing.

I am a family member of a resident at Leatherland Lodge and would like to say I think it is amazing how the home is dealing with the current COVID-19 Virus. As a family member, I totally understand about the stop on visitation, but I think it is amazing how the manager has set up different video chats through different apps in these difficult circumstances. Also, a massive thank you for the home in keeping me up to date on a regular basis. I also want to credit all the staff at Leatherland Lodge for all their efforts they are putting in.

Thanks to you all.

The manager and all staff are extremely caring to residents, providing marvellous care and support in all stages of later life and in passing. This is my second use of this home, both equally good.

I am the daughter of a resident at Leatherland Lodge. The home was recommended to me and I'm extremely glad that I enquired and subsequently registered Mum at the home. The staff are the key factor for me as they are amazing. Mum has been at the home for a year and I visit regularly and the staff are always kind, helpful and interactive with all the residents, so important. The care at the home is excellent in all respects. Mum is settled and happy, you couldn't ask for more!

My mum is currently in Leatherland Lodge. I feel that the care home is run to very high standards and is clean and tidy.
I can not fault the management team. The home manager is always on the floor helping when needed and works very hard to make sure the residents are cared for in every way possible. There is such a lovely bond with her and the resident's needs. Very polite and energetic.
I would tell anyone that’s looking for care home support that this one is amazing in all aspects of the care environment.

Thank you Leatherland lodge for everything you do.

My dad has just recently spent a few weeks respite at your home. I was really worried about my dad going into a home but can honestly say I am so happy with the care and support my dad received from all your staff. If respite is ever needed again I would definitely be coming back to Leatherland Lodge.

A family member of mine has recently passed at Leatherland Lodge. All the staff was absolutely amazing, the management was also amazing. The support they gave us and are still giving us now, I can not fault the home at all. The amazing thing about your home is that the staff do really care about their residents it’s not just a job to them many homes don’t have staff that actually care, all the staff from care to domestics to management show complete dedication to every resident.

I visited my friend on a number of times at Leatherland lodge and always found that the staff was very polite and really helpful.

The home was already clean and tidy to high standards. Management was always around to assist with any queries whilst visiting. Residents always look well dressed and very clean. Beds are always made in the home to a homely feel. Sadly my friend is no longer with us but this care home would definitely be one I would refer to anybody that needs love care and attention as the staff are so friendly and the bond between the staff and the residents is so lovely to see. Always things happening for the residents for them to enjoy and interact with each other as well as all the staff. Can’t fault this care home at all well done and keep it up you are an inspiration to many people.

I fell that my nan is well looked after by staff members and they adhere to all her needs. The staff are very approachable and follow through any reasonable requests made by the family. The staff are very adaptable to my nan's ever-changing needs and she feels comfortable around most members of staff.

The staff are very professional in their approach to caring for my mum. They are attentive to all her needs and adaptable when her moods change to ensure she is cared for and is safe. The environment is kept clean and tidy and safe. They are excellent at keeping me informed should the need arise.

My husband has only been in Leatherland Lodge for a month, but I have been very impressed by the care and kindness shown by the staff.

The activity carer works extremely hard to keep the residents active and entertained. My husband does not communicate well and I often find him feeling cold and in minor pain. May be residents could be asked occasionally if they feel ok.

My mum has been in Leatherland Lodge for over two years. She is happy and content. Her dementia is getting worse but because of the happy bubbly atmosphere of the home, she is always content and happy.
The manager could not do more, she is always about and her door is always open for any queries you might have and things are dealt with immediately.

The carers work tirelessly and I could not praise them enough. Also, the food and cleanliness is excellent.

Would not recommend this care home. Poorly managed, poor upkeep of facilities, family treated like strangers, communication with family extremely poor, communication with staff poor, internal paperwork sloppy. Residents in dirty clothes, dirty bed linen.

My Nan was in Leatherland Lodge for 9 months and I couldn’t fault the care here at all.
The décor may not be plush but the care certainly makes up for it! I can honestly say that each and every care worker tried their best to make it as much as a happy place as possible. Everyone went that extra mile to try and help make all the residents' stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible.

Thank you to all the staff that cared for my Nan. If circumstances change where my Nan does need to go back into a home, this will certainly be our first choice.

My mum's been here over 2 years and always looks good, clean and healthy. She is well fed and cared for by the staff and they also make sure to let me know by phone or in-person if mum needs anything or if they're taking her out for the day. They also do plenty of in house activities. Cool!

Would just like to thank all the staff at Leatherland Lodge for the care and dignity shown to my father in his last days of life.

Runwood Homes should be very proud of their staff, not just at the end but the whole time my father spent there, the home was clean, bright and caring.

Leatherland Lodge was a wonderful environment for my late father in law in the time he spent there. All staff, from the managers to the cleaners, helped him throughout his final months. He was always clean and tidy and enjoyed the food and activities and was so happy every time I visited. And I was always informed of any issues Dad had. Thank you, Leatherland Lodge.
