Placing my dad in the home was a very hard decision but the best one I made. The management and staff go above and beyond what I was expecting. To see the care my dad is getting makes me feel so much happier. The home always looks lovely and clean and the staff always friendly and supportive when greeting me. Thank you so much to you all.

When faced with the heart-wrenching decision that you can no longer care for your parents at home, you need support and understanding. This is exactly what I received from the manager and staff here at Leatherland Lodge. In such unprecedented times and visiting under strict rules, you can begin to understand that this team of wonderful people treat your family as their own. When your family’s needs and welfare are being placed in high priority, what more could you ask for.

I’ve witnessed residents being treated with dignity and respect. I’ve witnessed high levels of hygiene in housekeeping and with residents. I’ve witnessed residents engaging and interacting with each other. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is to much trouble for the manager and her staff. Thank you seems inadequate when they are caring for my loved ones and treating them so preciously. But, thank you for the care, peace of mind and comfort you have given and continue to give to my Mum and Dad, but also, me too.

They looked after my mother and father-in-law in an excellent manner and gave them respect and dignity in their last days together. They also looked after my mum a few years earlier and the same respect and dignity was given then as now. The manager and assistant manager and team are a credit to the industry and I wouldn't hesitate to put their loved ones into this care home - Leatherland Lodge.

Dad went into the home in December 2019 as mum was taken poorly. Dad had Xmas in there and the staff were great and took a lot of worry off my shoulders. Mum was only given 10 weeks so the home took mum on to help me. Mum passed on 14th Feb 202 with us around her. The staff and management were brilliant, sadly dad passed on 5th April 2010, I call it heartbroken as mum was 96 and dad 95, dad had Parkinson's and dementia. Thank you to all the staff here.

The staff has worked absolutely phenomenally during these times. Always friendly, always greeting at the door and always doing their best whenever they can. Made sure that everything still went amazing during COVID times. They have worked really hard to provide maximum service, for example, the garden visits were still as excellent as before.

The staff in the care home are extremely reassuring. They have worked extremely hard during the pandemic and I have not once been worried about the resident in the home. They always give/gave us a warm welcome when we come to visit. I found it very calming being able to video call whilst I’ve not been able to visit. The garden visits were brilliant as I was still able to know they were being well looked after. The staff in the home truly deserve a reward for all their hard work, during these hard times.

The staff have reassured us that everything is going okay and as normal during this difficult situation, with the video calls throughout lockdown making it easier and allowing a greater sense of peace. The staff always greeted us with a warm welcome and have made sure that the garden walks are well lead, the staff have outdone themselves in working through COVID and deserve a reward for their hard work and dedication to looking after others.

My sister has been at Leatherland Lodge for nearly two years. Earlier this year, in January, my sister had a number of seizures and spent a lot of time in hospital. When returning to the home she was cared for in bed and we were told she was reaching the end of life pathway. It's amazing what the home has done for my sister, especially with everything else that is going on at the minute. We received a picture recently of my sister who the staff are now getting up every morning for a few hours. I could not believe it was her, she was smiling, holding a drink and flag for VE day. My family always knew she would be cared for as we know the home manager but the love and attention she has received from all staff is amazing. I can't thank you enough.

All the staff at Leatherland Lodge are truly brilliant, they keep on going and never give up. I know myself I could not do the job they are all doing especially at this time. I would not want my Nan to be anywhere else because I know that all the staff would do anything for all of their residents.

When it came to the time that my dad needed to go into a care home, myself and my mum were distraught with this decision but Leatherland Lodge made this easier for us to cope with. The manager spent a lot of time discussing his care with us and involving us with the decisions and choices for him. The care staff was amazing, friendly and so helpful. I cannot thank all of you enough for what you are all doing, it must be so hard for you all but wanted to let you know you are all very appreciated.

My mum is in Leatherland Lodge, and I can't thank the staff enough for everything they are doing. I speak to my mum every day on the app, and it reassures me. I could not believe it when I heard the home manager moved in the home to be there for the residents; that is pure devotion. I just want to say they are all amazing.

My mum is a resident at your home and is cared for in bed due to her deterioration over the last few months. I have to say with not being able to visit my mum it has been heartbreaking but the staff and management have gone out their way to keep us in contact even taking laptops to her room so we can talk to her. You are all doing a really amazing job. Thank you.
