I have my mum and auntie both staying with you and they both receive the best care possible. I have visited at all times from early morning to late evening and always found the careers to be friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The variety of activities and outings are second to none.
You all do a fantastic
job and I think of you all as extended family.

My sister has settled into Carolyne House, the staff have put her at ease and helped her to start to become more relaxed, feel comfortable and able to ask for asisstance. All staff who enter her room have engaged with her and have helped her feel safe and some friendly banter has encouraged her to give
some cheeky responses.

A dedicated professional staff who pay as much attention to the needs of family and friends as they do the residents. The home has managers who are held in high esteem by their staff and who make relatives and visiting friends feel like they are joining a big caring family. The gardens and buildings
are kept in A1 condition and the rooms feel welcoming and cosy. Visitors are welcome day and night and are offered meals if their stay is long. Altogether wonderful.

My mother has been a resident in Carolyne House for more than a year now, and our family can't fault the care that she receives. From the manager Avi, and throughout the home, they work tirelessly to make everything comfortable & clean for the residents. Only wish Mum was able to join in, but time has
taken her. Thank you to you all.

Carolyne House was a very loving and caring home and environment for my mum in her last few weeks of being with us. Staff were so kind to us as a family, welcoming us, giving us time to talk and understand my mum's needs. Every member of the team shows professionalism, but more so show a deep interest
and concern. Nothing was too much trouble and they also cared for my dad as he spent each day with my mum. Such a fantastic team, lead my an amazing manager. On the day of my mum's passing the team gave the family the support and space we needed. I couldn't recommend more.

The care and support given to my mother is second to none. She is totally incontinent and unable to move around. Her room is always clean and tidy, and she is always treated with dignity, even when she can become very awkward. Food is always cooked fresh they and if my mother doesn't want what's on
offer, they will put themselves out to make her what she wants. Excellent home where I know she is well cared for.

Our family cannot thank Caroline House enough for the wonderful care and love they show our grandad. From the moment he arrived, we've felt completely at ease knowing he's in such good hands. The staff are outstanding - efficient, attentive, and genuinely caring. They go above and beyond every single
day to make the residents feel comfortable, valued, and happy.
What makes Caroline House truly special is the atmosphere - it feels like one big family. There are always activities and events going on to keep everyone engaged and smiling, and we're always made to feel welcome whenever we visit.
You can see that the residents come first in everything they do - they're always treated with dignity, respect, and warmth. We couldn't ask for a better home for our grandad. Thank you to all the amazing staff at Caroline House for the outstanding care you provide.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.900)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.900) out of 10 for Carolyne House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 53 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 53 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.900 for Carolyne House is calculated as follows: ( (569 Excellents x 5) + (46 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 623 Ratings = 4.9
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Carolyne House is based on 53 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 53 registered maximum number of service users is 10.6, which has been reached with 53 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
