Carolyne House

I cannot speak highly enough of Carolyne House. My mother receives 24 hour dementia care there, and the standard of care across every aspect has been truly excellent. The staff are compassionate, attentive, and treat residents with genuine dignity and respect. It is clear that they take the time to understand each individuals needs which gives great reassurance to the families. We are always kept informed and feel involved in my mothers care at all times. The management team run the home professionally and with warmth, creating a safe clean comfortable and well maintained and contributing to feeling of quality and care throughout the home.

Carolyne House is an exceptional nursing home. The staff are always professional, friendly, caring, compassionate and dedicated to looking after the residents. They go above and beyond in sometimes challenging situations. They provide activities everyday and include as many residents as they can, the restrictions to this is often the size of the communal areas which are not big enough to accommodate all the residents at once.

The actual care provided by the staff is excellent and very attentive. The home is kept very clean & pleasant in appearance. A wide variety of activities is provided by the home for the residents, although my mother doesn't participate in them. The food is okay. The cost of the care is expensive and in hard times, a rise of 5.3% was excessive.

My father is looked after as we would expect. All staff are very helpful & respectful & treat dad with dignity. Staff always have smiley faces and have a good rapport with management & likewise management with staff. I couldn't wish for dad to be in a happier secure environment.

All staff work efficiently and professionally whilst dealing with my mother and I can rest assured that she is very well looked after and her needs, both medical and personal, and her well-being are all dealt with, with extreme care and kindness.

My wife has been in 3 care homes and this is the best one by far.

My father was staying at Carolyne House under nursing. He recently passed away in January and up to his passing, he was treated with dignity and compassion. I can not speak more highly of the 'team' at Carolyne House, as that is what we thought of them a 'team'. It was a positive experience and we cannot thank the staff there enough for their kindness and care.

I have always been given a warm, friendly welcome from staff when visiting my Aunt. Their kindness to the residents is lovely to see and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. The activities team also make sure there is plenty for residents to do and ensure they are active and entertained, especially the lovely days out they arrange - I think it is so important to give the residents the chance to still be part of life outside of the care home.

I asked for a large recliner chair to be removed to allow more room in mum's room. This was swiftly undertaken, relocated to another resident who was awaiting this item. We were happy with this quick action, the other resident was too!

We are extremely happy with every aspect, and if we could give it an 11 out of 10, then we would.

A dedicated professional staff who pay as much attention to the needs of family and friends as they do the residents. The home has managers who are held in high esteem by their staff and who make relatives and visiting friends feel like they are joining a big caring family. The gardens and buildings are kept in A1 condition and the rooms feel welcoming and cosy. Visitors are welcome day and night and are offered meals if their stay is long. Altogether wonderful.

My mother has been a resident in Carolyne House for more than a year now, and our family can't fault the care that she receives. From the manager Avi, and throughout the home, they work tirelessly to make everything comfortable & clean for the residents. Only wish Mum was able to join in, but time has taken her. Thank you to you all.

Carolyne House was a very loving and caring home and environment for my mum in her last few weeks of being with us. Staff were so kind to us as a family, welcoming us, giving us time to talk and understand my mum's needs. Every member of the team shows professionalism, but more so show a deep interest and concern. Nothing was too much trouble and they also cared for my dad as he spent each day with my mum. Such a fantastic team, lead my an amazing manager. On the day of my mum's passing the team gave the family the support and space we needed. I couldn't recommend more.

The past year or so could not have been achieved without the help and support of Carolyne House staff for my mother. They have always been open to talk or any care change requirements. I can't thank them enough for my mum's care.

The care and support given to my mother is second to none. She is totally incontinent and unable to move around. Her room is always clean and tidy, and she is always treated with dignity, even when she can become very awkward. Food is always cooked fresh they and if my mother doesn't want what's on offer, they will put themselves out to make her what she wants. Excellent home where I know she is well cared for.

Staff always put the residents first with their cheerfulness, and nothing is too much for them. Family are always welcomed and informed of any changes to my mother in laws treatment

The staff are always friendly which is lovely. The room does smell a bit but understandably so. Food doesn't look very appetising sometimes. Staff treat their residents with kindness and respect. Thank you for all your care and attention.
