Knowing my mum is in such a lovely place run by exceptional people is a great comfort to me.
My Mum is 92 years old and a very fussy eater and they accommodate her needs without any fuss.
The staff are fantastic if I have any questions or any worries they are always there to support me, the respect for families and friends is also fantastic.
Friendly, helpful staff on all levels to both residents and visitors.
Always an event planned.
The care he has received is amazing.
The staff are so considerate and can't do enough for him.
Communication between staff and relatives is great.
There is nothing they do not let you know about.
Since being in this home my dad has been allowed up in a wheelchair and to eat with other residents even though he had previously been kept in bed by another home.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a wonderful, caring home for their relative.
This is the third home my mother has been in and it is by far the best. My mother is cared for extremely well, all the carers know what she likes and how she likes to be treated. I know that when I go home I do not have to worry as she is cared for like family. Since moving in, my mother has improved in her health and mood and she loves it here. I am always kept well informed by the nurses concerning my mother's health and receive phone calls and updates. I cannot recommend this home and all the staff there highly enough.
My dad has been here for nearly three years.
He is looked after very well and is always happy to see the staff, who treat him very well.
We are always informed if she has been seen by the doctor or other health care workers.
Mum is happy and the staff are very helpful and caring.
Mum is treated very well and she is happy here.
Happy, generous and very friendly.
Carers are with us all times you need them.
I am very happy and wish to stay to the last of my time.
Food presentable and carers are friendly at all times.
I remain thankful.
From the day I stepped foot into Carolyne House I knew we were going to like this nursing home for my father. We were shown around the home at very short notice. The friendly staff made us feel at home. We were shown Dad's room, which was clean and cosy with his own bathroom and TV. My Dad is so, so happy. I'd just like to thank Carolyne House for doing all you do, day in day out, for Dad.
When asked she felt safe.
The staff always found the time to help with any queries and were of great comfort at the end.
My sister and I were looking for a care home for our mother. We viewed a few which didn't feel right and were not what we wanted. As soon as we entered Carolyne House we knew it was where we wanted our mum to be. The residents all seemed so happy and content, the staff were so lovely that we decided straight away that that was the place.
Greeted by desk and staff with a friendly atmosphere, kept appraised regarding every eventuality of resident's care and health. The meals were very good and the room cleaned every day. The residents are well cared for and treated with respect and dignity.
My mum has been in Carolyne House since July 2017. The staff are so kind and caring they do their utmost to make the time spent there as comfortable as they can. They have activities to join in with if they so wish. They have helped me so much as well. I am so pleased I chose this home to care for my mum as it was a difficult thing to do.
Our Mum has been a resident for four weeks. During this time the staff have been amazing. They have treated her with the utmost dignity, kindness and professionalism even when displaying challenging behaviour. In fact, many of the problems she had have only begun to be addressed since being in Carolyne House, having previously been ignored by the NHS and Social Services. Making the decision to place a loved one in a Nursing Home is extremely hard, but they have continued to support us and Mum during this transitional period. I believe they deserve a higher rating than good as they are outstanding.
Mum had been at Carolyne House for nearly two years and sadly passed away after Dementia got the better of her. We could not have asked for more caring people to look after mum, they truly were like an extended family and made mums last days the best you could ever wish, we will miss them all lots.
My sister is always treated with kindness and consideration.
My mother is 101 years and 9 months old and extremely frail and vulnerable. She has been in the home for over 3 years. She has been shown friendship, respect and great care throughout those years and is well cared for and now in receipt of excellent nursing care. She is treated with patience and dignity always. As a family we are thankful that she is ending her days in such a compassionate, skilled and caring environment.
The care of my mother cannot be faulted. She is treated with respect and kindness. Also the support of our family from the nurses and carers, keeping us informed at every visit, telephoning us when they think GP needs to see her and after the visit.
Every carer/nurse knows not just mums name but also my name and my sisters, we are not 'just visitors' to the home. We felt we were part of the family of Carolyne House.
Carolyne House is a really lovely care home. It is like having a large extended family. I know when I visit my mum, I will be leaving her in a safe and secure environment with kind and caring people.

Welcome to Carolyne House. We are a 53-bedroom nursing home. We provide a friendly and homely environment, and a high standard of care; staff can always be found with a big, welcoming smile. We have lovely, spacious gardens that our residents enjoy, especially during the summer. We also have a very homely tea room for residents to enjoy a cup of tea and a snack. We look forward to welcoming you to Carloyne House.

My name is Maria, and I have been the RGN at Carolyne House for 10 years. I absolutely love working with people, interacting with the residents, and hearing their life stories—there’s always something valuable to learn.
I hold a Level 5 Social Care award and have many years of experience as a paediatric nurse before transitioning to working with the elderly.
In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, reading, and exploring history, particularly castles.

My name is Livia, and I’ve been an RGN at Carolyne House for 8 years. I am passionate about looking after our residents, ensuring all their needs are met, and making sure they remain comfortable and pain-free.
I was honoured to receive the award for the Best RGN at Runwood Homes, which was a great recognition of my dedication. Before joining Carolyne House, I worked as a nurse and continue to apply my experience and care in my current role. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and playing Candy Crush.

Hi, I’m Charlotte, and I’ve been the Lifestyle Coordinator at Carolyne House for 3 and a half years. I really enjoy working with the team at Carolyne House, and the role offers a great level of flexibility that works well with my home life.
I was honoured to be named Staff Member of the Week and also hold a Level 3 NVQ qualification. A fun fact about me is that I’m related to Walt Disney! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking, and watching home DIY videos.

Hi, I’m Gurpreet, and I’ve been the Cook at Carolyne House for 7 years. I absolutely love cooking and take great pride in preparing meals for our residents. The team here, including my manager and colleagues, is like one big happy family, and I truly enjoy being a part of it.
In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, watching TV, and, of course, continuing my passion for cooking.

My name is Michelle, and I have had the pleasure of working at Carolyne House for 16 years. Over the years, I’ve taken on many roles, including Care, Laundry Assistant, Lifestyle Coordinator, and Kitchen Assistant. I truly love everything about my job—whether it's interacting with the residents, working alongside my wonderful colleagues, or supporting my manager. In January 2024, I was honoured to receive Employee of the Month.
In my spare time, I enjoy socialising, shopping, and spending quality time with my family.

My name is Mikaua, but most people call me Mika. I am a Care Team Leader and carer at Carolyne House, where I have been working for over a year. The most exciting part of my role is getting to know the residents, listening to their life stories, and feeling inspired by their experiences. Every day in the care home is a learning opportunity, both through the residents' stories and the unique challenges and rewards of the job.
I graduated from Far Eastern University as a medical technologist. As a child, I loved playing teacher and even had an imaginary friend who joined in my games!
In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies—especially romantic comedies, documentaries, and heartfelt stories—along with sleeping and, of course, indulging in good food.
