My 96 year old aunt recently moved into Carolyne House. My aunt has settled very quickly and states it's the best place for her now. Staff have gone out of their way to help her feel welcome and comfortable. Appropriate activities are arranged daily and residents are given a timetable for the month,
and all the staff are cheerful, professional and dedicated to ensuring residents are happy. I firmly believe that the managers of care/nursing homes set the standard of care, and the manager here is outstanding - full of enthusiasm and innovative ideas and shows she truly cares for her residents and staff.

We are so happy with the care Dad receives, it means when we go and see him we can be his son and wife rather than having to worry about being his carers. He's included in activities and gets to venture outside of his room which is more than he was getting at home. Dad is happy so we are happy.

Mum has been at Carolyne House for 2 years, At first I was skeptical about her going into a care home as I had had negative experiences with other care homes in the area. However, my concerns were soon eliminated. The staff has been wonderful, adapting to Mum's needs and providing extra care and attention
when needed. All the staff from the home manager, the nursing staff, carers, well-being staff, cooks, cleaners, laundry staff, and maintenance are exceptional. On a daily basis, they go above and beyond to care for the residents 24/7. In recent months more daily activities have been organised, when all residents, despite their ability, are encouraged to participate. From outings to the cinema, and zoo, shopping trips, picnics, and much more.
I cannot rate Carolyne House highly enough, 5 * is not sufficient! Their professionalism, care, attention to needs, and understanding are amazing. Thank you all for looking after our loved ones. I could write so much more!

When my Dad arrived at Carolyne House he was given only 8 weeks to live, but he actually lasted an amazing 3.5 years and I honestly believe this is due to the care he received. The home is well run, the manager and the assistant are on hand to ensure the smooth running of the home. My dad was on the
ground floor which is dedicated to residents that need nursing care, I can't speak highly enough about the registered general nurses (RGN) who care for these residents, they are absolutely amazing, also I would like to highlight the great work done by three staff member in particular who all made my dad's life better during his stay. Everyone from the staff on reception, the lady in laundry to the maintenance man are very welcoming and helpful. If and when I need a care home this one is top of my list!

All team members show great compassion and are very skilled and competent in caring for the complexity of my parents.

My mum has been in Carolyne House since September 2023. I cannot fault the care she receives. The care home manager goes above and beyond to help you and nothing is too much for her. The manager is a real asset to the home and it runs so well because of her dedication. The staff work hard to make it
a lovely safe environment for the residents. My mum is well looked after and I can sleep well knowing my mum is safe. Three staff members in particular are exceptional nurses, having the patience and understanding to deal with my mum who has dementia. As do all the careers. Even the ladies in the kitchens and laundry room are very helpful and obliging and will help in any way they can. My mum's key support is very helpful and goes beyond, she let me text her when I couldn’t get into the home to tell me how my mum was. Cannot fault Carolyne House at all. Please keep up the excellent work.

I have no complaints at all about the way my mum is cared for in Carolyne House. She is always happy when I visit her. The staff are all very kind and understanding of her, even when she gets a bit difficult. The activities and trips that she joins on are really good for her, they are things that we
couldn’t do for her at home. It’s definitely the right place for her to be.

Very pleasant atmosphere. All staff are very helpful. They spend the time to chat to my father which was one of our requests. Extremely clean environment. We visit at various times and there never seems to be anything to complain about which makes us feel confident that the care my father receives is
consistent.

After a series of falls, and becoming increasingly frail we had to face the difficult decision of my elderly mother (aged 97) leaving her home and moving into residential care.
Carolyn House have been wonderful. They made the whole transition process seamless. The care and support that they offer during
the move has been so professional.
After her initial concerns, my mother is now very settled. They show her dignity and respect, they give her choices and in her own words 'they are very caring here'.
There are activities and trips out that at first Mum didn't want to get involved with, but now only after a few weeks she is joining in and enjoying the company.
If you are having any doubts about moving an elderly relative into Carolyn House please talk to them they are so good and will be able to answer any doubts or questions you may have.

Carolyne House is such a lovely care home, the staff really do care. Everybody is friendly, they really look after my dad, they are patient and kind and sometimes he is horrid back but they take it all in their stride. They are amazing. I can't thank them enough for all they do for my dad.

Very pleasant staff; helpful and knowledgeable. Clean room, Mum looks well cared for. Home looks clean and tidy. Always kept informed of changes. Sometimes I feel that the infection control processes could be improved by wearing aprons, especially during care rounds. Changing of gloves not always obvious,
but infection rates do seem low. Well done everyone.

My mum has been in Carolyn House since Boxing day 2022. The staff are very caring and in the major part very good. The few small issues we have had are dealt with straight away. My mum is now bed bound and has for many years been visually impaired and her hearing aids no longer fit properly as she has
lost weight, the fact that I can't get an optical retail chain to honour their promise to come to the home makes the problem worse for the staff. My mum celebrated her 100th birthday with a party for our family, one that a few months ago I didn't think she would reach. Mum is happy there, that is the main thing.

All staff are amazing, caring, dedicated, friendly and helpful, prioritising residents' care needs to the highest standards. Caring for my mum since January 2023, the communication of Mum’s needs and what is being done to ensure that her needs are met is exemplary. This ensures mum is comfortable, well-nourished
and hydrated. The highest standards in care provision are achieved, including resident care needs risk assessment and detailed records enabling staff nurses and doctors to quickly respond as needs change. I fully recommend Carolyne House. I have zero concerns as 100% of the Carolyne House team provide the highest standards of nursing, management, facility provision and catering.

We have now had several family members stay at Carolyne House and we are confident they're in the best place for them. The staff are always welcoming and pleasant and we know they have their resident's best interests at heart. Even if the resident is difficult, which is the case with our Mum, they make
a special effort to keep them occupied and cater for their needs. I would happily recommend Carolyne House to anyone who asks. Keep up the good work and thank you.

It's now been 10 months since my sister was admitted into Carolyne House care home. I posted a review several months ago, where I could only praise the staff and house manager for the care and provision for my sister.
Now some 4 months on, the excellent service and care she receives is still 10 out
of 10, my sister is now not only feeling happier but she is also looking much better, compared to when she was living alone, relying on care personnel visiting her daily. Although there is no current cure for dementia, the care home understands her needs and changes to her condition and is fully supportive of her needs. The facilities are good, with regular meals (which my sister likes), has regular contact with a visiting Doctor should she need to see one, and along with her treat of having her hair done weekly, (yes you have to pay separately for this,) but in the big scheme of costs, its minor, compared to the pleasure she gets for a bit of attention on her.
A Wonderful care home.

Dad has been really looked after in a caring, friendly, professional way. I have also been cared for on my visits. When Dad came to Caroline House he was under end of life palliative care. Now, even though he has advanced dementia, physically he is much stronger due to the care and healthy food he can

Hi, I’m Gurpreet, and I’ve been the Cook at Carolyne House for 7 years. I absolutely love cooking and take great pride in preparing meals for our residents. The team here, including my manager and colleagues, is like one big happy family, and I truly enjoy being a part of it.


In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, watching TV, and, of course, continuing my passion for cooking.

My name is Michelle, and I have had the pleasure of working at Carolyne House for 16 years. Over the years, I’ve taken on many roles, including Care, Laundry Assistant, Lifestyle Coordinator, and Kitchen Assistant. I truly love everything about my job—whether it's interacting with the residents, working alongside my wonderful colleagues, or supporting my manager. In January 2024, I was honoured to receive Employee of the Month.


In my spare time, I enjoy socialising, shopping, and spending quality time with my family.

My name is Mikaua, but most people call me Mika. I am a Care Team Leader and carer at Carolyne House, where I have been working for over a year. The most exciting part of my role is getting to know the residents, listening to their life stories, and feeling inspired by their experiences. Every day in the care home is a learning opportunity, both through the residents' stories and the unique challenges and rewards of the job.


I graduated from Far Eastern University as a medical technologist. As a child, I loved playing teacher and even had an imaginary friend who joined in my games!


In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies—especially romantic comedies, documentaries, and heartfelt stories—along with sleeping and, of course, indulging in good food.
