My dad has been on respite for a few weeks at Rowena House. He settled in really quickly, which hasn't been the case anywhere else. From my first contact with the home to arrange a tour around, I have witnessed compassion and dedication from the staff. It may not be the most modern building, but the
genuine care is better by far than any other respite my dad has encountered. Well done to the management team, the place is run very well, and they are absolute stars to us!

Home from home feel.
Staff very friendly and homely.
Rowena House is not an all singing all dancing care home, but its all very normal with normal lovely staff.
My stepfather will be returning for sure.

Lots of improvement noted - including laundry services about which I have made many complaints! The staff morale has risen considerably - not totally - but I know this manager listens to concerns and acts accordingly. My husband is very happy here. Staff are always kind and I am made welcome when I
visit. There are some outstanding examples of care and dedication to residents 'wellbeing' and staff and residents can flourish in the new and improved environment at Liberty House.

The staff have been so welcoming and made the transition for my mother-in-law so easy. They are very considerate and have encouraged my mother-in-law to become involved in the activities which she really enjoys - and never thought she would have the confidence to do so. My mum got transferred to this carehome in January after being diagnosed with lung cancer (who also had dementia and alzimers). We were led to believe that she couldn't return to her bungalow to be cared for by myself and carers through a care company because she needed 24/7 care ( I later learned
that she could have returned home ) . At first I couldn't fault the home , carers or management my mum was looked after with care and compassion , she was happy and content . In February when I had a disagreement with a member of management things started to go downhill. One day a doctor had been rang to mum and I was not informed of the sudden decline in her condition. I did try to get my mum home (my house ) as she asked me everytime I visited (sometimes 3 times a day) everything was going ahead as she had been assessed by a nurse from ICB until a staff member informed a family member who then went to see mum and begged her to stay, 6 days later my mum passed away with a broken heart.

I moved to Ivy Court in April 2025, and I am highly satisfied with the care and treatment from carers and management. My room is downstairs with and my husband lives upstairs and we can not thank everybody enough my room is always clean and tidy. The food is fantastic the lasagne was the best I have

It is a very hard to put a loved one into a care home after visiting Rowena House our fears were put the rest by management and staff. To see people treated with dignity and compassion and safe environment it seemed like one big family at Rowena House a big thank you to all staff there.

As a family we feel at ease knowing our family member is well taken of. From the moment you walk into reception it's warm, friendly and inviting. Going onto the Shelley unit it is full of laughter and hive of activity. The home is clean and smells lovely!! The care staff are always on hand if we need

I've come to live at Ivy Court on a short placement while they find me a bungalow, and I cannot praise the staff enough. My room is clean and tidy, the home is well presented and is not just a standard care home, it's more like a hotel. The food is cooked from traditional meals and is plenty to go round.

If I could give Laureate Court 10 stars, I would This care home is just WONDERFUL! My dad was transferred here from another care home and it is the best thing we could have done. The care my dad receives is exceptional. He is always included in any activities and fun things (depending on his health
at the time) The staff are always checking on my dad and make sure he is ok. It is just an AMAZING care home with AMAZING, KIND, CARING AND THOUGHTFUL staff! Thank you so much for making my dad's stay a happy and comfortable one!

My Mum went into Rose House in November 2024, for respite. Unfortunately due to vascular dementia she is now a permanent resident. As soon as we entered the home my Mum felt at home and we were welcomed warmly. The home is beautiful and so is my Mums room made even more homely by the pictures etc she
brought from her bungalow. The staff are caring and attentive , they all work extremely hard to make sure all residents are happy and well care for. It was a difficult decision for all the family but my mum has settled in really well and this is also testament to Rose House. I cannot thank the staff enough for making my Mum feel safe and secure, this has enabled the family to have peace of mind that she is in the best place. With heartfelt thanks. Only one criticism is the wait time for visitors to enter and leave the home especially at weekends, when there is no reception staff and that is when most family are able to see their relatives.
