Friendly and caring staff keep us informed of any concerns or change in mum's health, wellbeing, or behaviour. The premises are kept spotlessly clean, which is something mum often comments on. The food is of good quality and provides the nutrients mum needs.
However, i must reiterate that Orchard Blythes
greatest asset is its staff. They are just ideal for mum.

My Mother has been at Lower Meadow for some time now. Very unsettled at first , but is very much more calm & settled now. While the dementia will only get progressively worse, the positive transformation in her physical condition has been profound since moving to LM. The staff helped this process
& have been very supportive & caring, even during the difficult times. The Management at LM have been equally supportive, including providing clear & timely communication.

My Mum recently went for 4 weeks rest-bite and decided to stay permanently. She suffers with Parkinson's disease and was struggling at home with her mobility. It has taken quite a bit of adjusting and leaving her bungalow and having to accept it has to be sold to pay for her care is heartbreaking however
we now she's safe and well looked after. She has a lovely large room with an en-suite wet room. There are daily activities, outings out in a minibus no worries of meals, washing and sorting household bills

Overall conditions and care etc. are very good. I would like to see more attention paid to the fitting of my wife's hearing aids as they are often either in the wrong ear, even though I have labelled them, or not fitted correctly. They both fell out this morning. There are certain other residents that
dominate the dining room/lounge with what is on the TV, I should think by now they have seen all episodes of "Mr. Bean" several times. They also make it uncomfortable for other residents who try to stand up against them. They should not be allowed to dominate. Why can't towels be left in the room's toilet/ shower room when the used ones are taken away ? It is good to have one to cover my wife when she is cleaning her teeth and to dry hands. The paper towels are not very good and disintegrate when wet.
ALL THE STAFF ARE GREAT AND I GET ON WELL WITH THEM.

My Mum is a resident at Cherry Tree Lodge.
All the staff at Cherry Tree Lodge are friendly, polite and always happy to help. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
There are lots of activities to be enjoyed by the residents.
Cherry Tree Lodge is a very welcoming, spacious, extremely clean and secure
environment with a beautiful well kept garden.
The rooms are lovely and spacious.
The managers and all the staff work hard to achieve this. The staff always make myself, my family and friends welcome and they cannot do enough for us. Any questions or requests are always answered promptly and efficiently.
The food is nutritious and home cooked. There are always plenty of different options available.
I highly recommend Cherry Tree Lodge, it is a fantastic care home and I feel so reassured knowing that Mum is being cared for 24 hours a day by caring, considerate staff.
A Huge Thank you to All the staff in all roles who work tirelessly to provide excellent care for Mum and all the residents.

My friend has now been in this care home for over 3 months and I am extremely happy with the quality of care that she receives. The staff are always friendly and approachable, and you really can tell that they genuinely care about the residents. The home is very clean and has a homely feel about it.
I am always made to feel welcome when I visit and the team are always on-hand if I have any queries (which have always been sorted out quickly). I feel the support offered to the residents and visitors has been excellent and my friend is being looked after and cared for extremely well. Well done everyone at Caldwell Grange.
I would definitely recommend this home to friends and family.

My sister who has dementia, arrived at Cherry Tree Lodge rather confused as she has been moved from various hospital wards over the previous 2 months. Her time at Cherry Tree relaxed her and she felt she was able to cope. She also put on much needed weight. Her feedback - very pleased with the kind

As a family we looked around quite a few care homes in the area, this one stood out because the room provided was bright and spacious.

Very poor staff level, lots of agency staff. Resident left in bed in dark with curtains closed and left asleep, was there for 9 months and staff rarely showered her, it. was left to the family to tend to her hygiene. Room was dirty, dust under bed, debris behind moveable furniture and floor sticky.
Bedding could be soiled and no attempt to change it. Was always told she didn't want to get up, didn't want a wash, didn't want anything. Truth was, easy to leave her and shut the door with cold cups of tea or coffee and dirty tray, full jug of water with no encouragement to drink. Treated with little respect. Room was facing long noisy corridor with constant disturbance. No encouragement for social activity or use of dining room, consequently we feel she shrunk back and began to reject life. Her medical needs were not properly carried out, and regular non diabetic food was served. Although she did enjoy the food which was of a good standard. Her care seriously declined over her stay.

The staff are all kind and helpful, the daily interactions have got him going again. The entire home is kept very clean and pleasant. This home has plenty
