Review of Low Furlong from E K (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

The care and support that Low Furlong offers my father is outstanding. There is always a friendly welcome from any carer on either floor. Even the chef regularly says hello! There are various activities that support my father's mental health and physical wellbeing. The staff are engaging and highly committed to supporting their residents. From the management team, including the Aimee, administrative personnel plus senior carers and cleaners everyone makes you feel welcome. Thank you and you deserve an outstanding CQC award.

Lovely care house. All staff friendly, polite and cheerful. Mum gets on with them all, she enjoys the activities. She has an infectious laugh so if other people are feeling low they soon laughing and she brightens the day up. Management and all staff are easy to talk to and answers any questions or concerns you may have.

Review of Caldwell Grange & The Lodge from Steven W (Son of Resident) published on 13 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The care shown to my mother was exemplary during her stay at The Lodge, especially in her final days when she was on end of life care and also celebrated her 100th birthday. Nothing was too much for the staff and they always went about their work with a smile on their faces. We relatives were also cared for as we spent many hours there. The lodge is a lovely place, spotlessly clean and mum always praised the quality of the food. The rooms are superior with excellent wet room/bathroom facilities. As a son of a resident I was very happy for mum to be here and felt she was safe and secure at all times. Thank you to all staff at The Lodge for being so understanding when mum passed away and the dignity afforded to her

Staff are patient, caring and loving people who make my mother's life more pleasant despite the increasing challenges of her care.

However my impression is that the general standards of cleanliness e.g. regularly vacuuming the rooms, are slipping. This may be a lower urgency than caring for residents, but it is still a basic requirement.

Reply from Amie Banks, Home manager at Low Furlong
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm really pleased to hear that you are happy with the standard of care provided by the Low Furlong team - delivering high-quality care is something we are very proud of.

My mother sadly passed away recently and I can't thank all the staff at Lower Meadow enough for the kindness, care and compassion given to my mother and myself as her health deteriorated.
She was 93 yrs old and had only been a resident for a short time but the staff at Lower Meadow really made a difference and she enjoyed the activities and friendship in her final months greatly.

Thanks and best wishes to a great team x

My Husband became a resident 12 months ago after being looked after at home for 12 years by myself, without the care, understanding and all round support from all staff I am sure my husband would not be with me now. Its a lovely, welcoming and comfortable home. Extremely clean and the food is good. Plenty of activities take place which everyone seems to enjoy, plus trips out for the more mobile residents.

Reply from Lyndsay Sard, Manager at Bracebridge Court
Dear Margaret,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a touching and heartfelt review. We know that after caring for your husband at home for 12 years, making the decision to move him into residential care must have been a profound transition for you both. It is an absolute privilege...

Can't fault the care my auntie had during her 5 year stay. Staff were kind, caring and patient. Always a warm and welcoming face when visiting. Her last few weeks, she was in her bed, and they kept her dignity right to the end. Couldn't have asked anymore from the care team. They were superb, and the love for her was clearly shown.

Review of Low Furlong from Chris N (Power of Attorney of Resident) published on 24 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Low Furlong is quite simply exceptional. 18 months ago we had to find Care for our mother-in-law who has dementia and we looked around all of the local homes in a radius of about 20 miles to find somewhere that would be suitable for her to relocate to and most importantly, somewhere that felt like Home, not the usual slightly clinical environment which seems to be the norm in the industry.
From my first phone call with the manager of Low Furlong our whole experience has been friendly efficient and very different to every other similar establishment.

Low Furlong has A very caring bunch of staff who actually really do care about what they do and they are fully engaged in what they do both with the residents and their families who they encouraged the pitching and getting involved in the regular event events both supporting local charities and the care home itself. Food is good and activity schedule actually happens regular events that the Home encourage families to join. Top marks

So happy with the care provided for our Dad. All the staff are there to support us and keep us informed every step of the way. Nothing is too much trouble and we know Dad is receiving the care he needs. Dad is very settled here and that is a great comfort for us as moving a loved one into care is a very difficult decision.

Mum has been at Orchard Blythe over 18 months now and is so happy there. The staff are all fantastic, nothing is too much for them. Mum loves all the activities available and the singers are really good. Family are also able to attend some of the events too. There is a hairdresser which mum loves going to and trips out too. Mum loves the food and since being at orchard Blythe has had no falls! It is lovely to go and visit mum. We can meet in her room or in the lounge area where we can have a lovely chat over a cuppa. Our minds are totally at rest knowing that mum is being well looked after. Thank you so much for the excellent care and support you all give mum x
