My father has received outstanding care since moving to Low Furlong. We chose to move him from another home where he didn't receive anywhere near the level of support he does now.

From day one - staff picked up on his background and ensured that he was included in appropriate activities. Since moving, my father has thrived by having so many activities that he can undertake. He has also been taken on visits out which he has greatly benefited from.

The staff at Low Furlong are very kind and caring to my Dad, who has lived there for 6 years now. It is reassuring for the family to know he is so well looked after. They offer lots of different activities for the residents, which my Dad loves taking part in and helps him stay active.

The care and support that Low Furlong offers my father is outstanding. There is always a friendly welcome from any carer on either floor. Even the chef regularly says hello! There are various activities that support my father's mental health and physical wellbeing. The staff are engaging and highly committed to supporting their residents. From the management team, including the Aimee, administrative personnel plus senior carers and cleaners everyone makes you feel welcome. Thank you and you deserve an outstanding CQC award.

Lovely care house. All staff friendly, polite and cheerful. Mum gets on with them all, she enjoys the activities. She has an infectious laugh so if other people are feeling low they soon laughing and she brightens the day up. Management and all staff are easy to talk to and answers any questions or concerns you may have.

Staff are patient, caring and loving people who make my mother's life more pleasant despite the increasing challenges of her care.

However my impression is that the general standards of cleanliness e.g. regularly vacuuming the rooms, are slipping. This may be a lower urgency than caring for residents, but it is still a basic requirement.

My mother has been at Low Furlong for nearly a year. As a family we find the care and environment well suited for her needs. She is happy, content, calm and safe which is a great comfort to us all. The staff are so caring, friendly and so lovely with our mother. As a family we are extremely happy and appreciative. Thank you.

Low Furlong is quite simply exceptional. 18 months ago we had to find Care for our mother-in-law who has dementia and we looked around all of the local homes in a radius of about 20 miles to find somewhere that would be suitable for her to relocate to and most importantly, somewhere that felt like Home, not the usual slightly clinical environment which seems to be the norm in the industry.
From my first phone call with the manager of Low Furlong our whole experience has been friendly efficient and very different to every other similar establishment.

Low Furlong has A very caring bunch of staff who actually really do care about what they do and they are fully engaged in what they do both with the residents and their families who they encouraged the pitching and getting involved in the regular event events both supporting local charities and the care home itself. Food is good and activity schedule actually happens regular events that the Home encourage families to join. Top marks

Our lovely mum had over two years of wonderful care in every respect from the team at Low Furlong. When the end of mum's life was approaching, mum and our family experienced the kindest, most professional, loving support from all members of staff. It was obvious to us mum was cherished and loved, and feel we were very fortunate be part of the Low Furlong family and send our love to them always.

The facilities and staff at this care home are exceptional. We looked around a few care homes before selecting Low Furlong for my Mum. We decided on Low Furlong, as it had a truly homely feel. The staff make every effort to make the residents feel like they are at home and not in their work place. It is the staff that make this facility exceptional; they are friendly, fun and do everything to support both residents and family. Anyone visiting is always made to feel welcome and not a burden. We had to move Mum at very short notice and the manager and her team made it a rapid and smooth transition at a time that was both stressful and distressing for myself and Mum. But they dealt with everything in a professional and caring way. I can't thank them enough.

I cannot think of a better place for my mum to spend her latter years. The care she receives from the absolutely fantastic staff is amazing, they are so caring and go out of their way to treat all the residents as family. The staff keep residents family well informed of everything that is going on and I always look forward to the weekly newsletter with photos of all of the events that have taken place during the week. My mum went on a trip to the seaside this week which is just one of the many trips that are organised and which she thoroughly enjoyed. I truly cannot praise the staff and management enough for the level of care, and fun, that my mum has, which has enabled her to settle into Low Furlong so well, literally from day one. When we knew Mum needed extra care, Low Furlong was the first, and only home, we visited, as it became clear very quickly that we would not find anywhere better. As the saying goes, when you know you know, and we knew Low Furlong was perfect for mum.

My mum has been a resident for over 3 years and has been very happy there and I have also been very extremely happy with her care. During the past few weeks, as she has been unwell, I have spent many hours at her bedside and have seen first-hand just how wonderful everyone is. Not only do they look after the residents but they are very caring to relatives at a difficult time. Nothing is too much trouble from the senior management to the carers, the catering staff, the housekeeping team and everyone in between. I have seen how great the daily activities are and the social media coverage and weekly email updates are just great. I would not hesitate to recommend Low Furlong for a loved one. It truly deserves its 'outstanding' rating.

Like all organisations, the standard is set by the manager. At Low Furlong, they are blessed to have someone who clearly enjoys her job and is truly both resident and staff-centred. This is reflected in the welcoming atmosphere of the home and the caring attitude of the staff. I am most impressed.

After a routine blood test organised by the home, we were called to take Mum immediately to the hospital. The home had Mum and her hospital bag all ready to go. Most importantly her notes were ready, they were completely up to date, including for that day. These were absolutely invaluable in the hospital e.g. so they could discount some conditions and understand Mum's circumstances.

Our mum has dementia, we trust the home implicitly and know how much they love and respect her.

Our mum has been a resident of Low Furlong for approaching 2 years. I am so grateful for the kindness, patience and professionalism shown to her each and every day by the staff. While Mum's Alzheimer's progresses we are comforted to know she is happy, content and well looked after. My father has settled in so well since he first came into the home in March. He initially came for a trial stay but kept extending this as he became accustomed to his surroundings and the way of life in the home. He loves the food and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. He moved from Nottingham to the home and the management team has really supported him in transferring his ongoing medical care from his Hospital to the local one in a timely manner. Whenever I visit my father I'm always struck by the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere in the home never too busy but also never too quiet, a great balance which I suspect is not easy to create. I could not imagine a better home for my father and have already recommended it to others.

I work overseas, and my mother is a resident. My sisters are the more frequent visitors but I can attest to the absolutely amazing treatment my mum has at Low Furlong. She is, most importantly, safe and well cared for but the leadership and staff also make her feel completely at home. She is treated with dignity and encouraged to involve herself in activities. We feel fortunate to have our mum living in such a great nursing home. Thank you for making Mum's days so comfortable and fun.
