Our mum is extremely happy and contented at Low Furlong, which is her home. She is well cared for and sensitively supported. As someone living with Alzheimer's, life is challenging and confusing. However, she is stimulated and can engage with activities in a way that suits her. Staff are kind, patient, and willing to take time to listen to Mum. This means our family can feel secure in the knowledge that she is well cared for.

This is simply a wonderful, caring place. There is a culture that nothing is too much trouble and it comes from the top. I believe they want it to feel like home. It is clean and very well run, with lots of activities and they will prepare food to the specific liking of individual residents. I highly recommend Low Furlong.

The care from the staff and carers was excellent.
They looked after all the residents extremely well despite some being a 'little difficult.'

My stay was a welcome relief from hospital and I enjoyed it.

Low Furlong is well managed with great staff full of happiness and life. The 8 months my mum-in-law was there she was encouraged to take part in many activities and go on trips. Her quality of life was much improved and she was well fed warm and safe which we could not sustain in her home environment. The care and compassion given to us when she passed was second to none and made it easier to come to terms with. We would not hesitate to recommend Low Furlong to all who need peace of mind. Thank you.

This home is fabulous. The permanent staff are truly caring and go out of their way to make a difference. I’m always kept up to date with things, invited to the regular events and felt heard. Nan loves it; her room is kitted out with her things (far too much of it), and she feels like family. Nan doesn’t suffer from dementia, but she has a great relationship with the residents and staff alike.

I did not think my mum would ever settle in a care home but she has settled in so well at Low Furlong. All the staff are kind and caring. Everyone chats to Mum giving her reassurance when she needs it. They have been patient and thoughtful with her too. The residents are all treated with respect and the meals are superb.

From the moment you enter you can feel the warmth, genuine respect, and care with which residents are treated. Staff are all very friendly and attentive and build strong relationships with the residents who are all treated as individuals.
There is an excellent flow of information from the leadership team to relatives and lots of opportunities to engage in the life of the care home.
My uncle suffers with dementia and significant mobility issues yet the staff all work hard to involve him in a wide range of activities that enrich his life despite his difficulties.

It’s an incredibly difficult decision finding suitable care for a loved one but I have no hesitation in recommending Low Furlong.

I have nothing but praise for Low Furlong and its staff. Kindness, thoughtfulness and good humour in abundance. Residents are given great respect and each resident is treated as an individual. There is a welcoming, caring and happy atmosphere. Rather than a home, Low Furlong is home, whether long-term or temporary: for that alone, I would go beyond “outstanding” and say it is exemplary.

My mother initially moved into Low Furlong for a respite stay but after a few weeks, she had showed such improvement in her health and general wellbeing that it has now become her permanent home. Low Furlong is extremely well run by the management team and there is always a friendly atmosphere with fun and laughter from residents and staff which echoes happiness. Knowing my mother is in such a happy, safe and friendly environment is such a relief to all the family.

My mother moved into Low Furlong in early October 2022 and I have been incredibly impressed with how well run the care home is. Management have been brilliant and helped so much in the transition from her previous home. The home is warm, clean, friendly and has such a lovely atmosphere - full of life, fun and laughter. Even in the short time my mother has been at Low Furlong, I have noticed a real positive change in her appearance, her mobility and her social interactions with the other residents. I would not hesitate in recommending Low Furlong. They have been absolutely brilliant.

My mother moved into Low Furlong in August this year for "convalescence" after a hospital stay following a fall in her own home. She immediately relaxed and started enjoying her new surroundings. From the word go she would repeatedly ask how long she could stay at Low Furlong and has now decided to stay permanently. She feels safe, valued and loved by the staff. All staff associated with Low Furlong are highly professional, caring and excellent at sharing and involving me with information regarding mum. The weekly newsletters received from the Manager are very welcome and I love sharing the photos of mum enjoying her activities with the rest of my family. Mum is enjoying all the lovely meals and is happy mixing, chatting and laughing with the other residents. Although Mum has dementia she is able to optimise her day-to-day living with the encouragement and support of all the staff. I am so relieved and happy that mum has moved into such a warm and caring environment.

We moved mom into Low Furlong in October, they have been so compassionate, understanding and 100% attentive to mom's needs, it has been a breath of fresh air knowing that mom is safe and cared for by the highly trained and understanding staff. Daily activities and the effort that is put in to be part of the community and involve residents' families within the care home are outstanding. Thank you too Low Furlong team for making mom so welcome.

My mum is 99, has dementia and her mobility is very poor. The staff at Low Furlong are fantastic. They treat mum with respect and take the greatest care to ensure her every need is met. Low Furlong is mum's extended family, that is the highest praise I can give. I know that if I am not able to visit she is still surrounded by people who care for her. From a great management through to laundry and cleaning staff they are all 5 star.

My mother moved into Low Furlong four years ago. She has received the very best of care. The Manager and staff are caring and understanding regarding dementia residents. I honestly feel that they have become extended members of our family. Nothing is too much trouble and my sister and I are contacted if an issue comes to light. The activities are boundless as is the enthusiasm of the carers. So glad that we chose Low Furlong for our dear mum. Thank you.
