Caldwell Grange & The Lodge

When you walk into the care home it feels more like a hotel. Tastefully decorated and very pleasing to the eye. The staff are very friendly and take good care of the residents. They have great activities which really helps my mother as she likes to talk. :) Overall a lovely care home and no complaints

Great service, staff are all wonderful

Overall, we have been very pleased with the care home. The staff are generally kind, caring and approachable, and there is a clear commitment to the wellbeing and comfort of residents. There are however, occasions when smaller day-to-day tasks can be a little inconsistent. These are not major issues but occasionally things can be overlooked. Overall, we are happy with the care provided and appreciate the hard work of the staff. We would recommend the home, while recognising that there is always room for improvement

Dad seems happy at the home, he's always clean & tidy. He enjoys the food and seems to have settled in his room which is large & spacious. The staff are caring, attentive and friendly and are always reassuring us that Dad is ok. The only thing I would say is it seems very cold in the dining room, maybe they could turn the Air con off whilst residents eat there meals.

Mum is more settled and seems happier since moving to The Lodge, we are pleased with her overall care here.

Definetly the best thing for mum. She's eating & drinking properly and interacting more. it took her a couple of weeks to settle in but she's really happy now. Staff are fantastic and she enjoys going out with them on trips.

Lovely clean room, very good food, enjoyable events, friendly staff, all in all mum is very happy so far as only moved in on the 7th September, but all is ok and good, thank you from her son..........

Lunch time - Dinner ladies are required for an hour and half to allow staff to look after those who cannot leave their rooms. 6 staff (carers) for the whole floor is not enough.

The care shown to my mother was exemplary during her stay at The Lodge, especially in her final days when she was on end of life care and also celebrated her 100th birthday. Nothing was too much for the staff and they always went about their work with a smile on their faces. We relatives were also cared for as we spent many hours there. The lodge is a lovely place, spotlessly clean and mum always praised the quality of the food. The rooms are superior with excellent wet room/bathroom facilities. As a son of a resident I was very happy for mum to be here and felt she was safe and secure at all times. Thank you to all staff at The Lodge for being so understanding when mum passed away and the dignity afforded to her

My mum was a resident at Caldwell Grange and all her care and needs were met with excellent attention to detail. The staff were always friendly and very helpful, answered all our enquiries and questions. Mum was here for six happy years. Thank you everyone.

Since Michelle has taken over as the new manager she has been very quick to deal with all my concerns and ensuring my husband has the best care possible. She is very approachable and always makes time to listen. Caldwell Grange is now such a happier environment to visit and I feel reassured having my husband stay here. The staff showed me around the complex I was impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I have since admitted my wife to their care and she is more old self and I feel a great sense of relief on her surroundings and the way they staff are treating her.

I thoroughly check all details re care, and full dignity is given. Resident is clean and attention given. Rooms clean, food good and atmosphere is so nice.

Choosing a care home for my mother was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. I have never once regretted choosing Caldwell Grange & The Lodge. The staff are so thoughtful and kind, and extremely respectful of my mother's dignity.

I would definitely recommend this home to friends and family.

My Mum was in Caldwell Grange for four and a half years. She recently passed. During the entire time she was there the Staff were amazing. You can tell they genuinely care about the residents. The home is very clean. I do not live locally anymore but always felt my Mum was safe and taken care of and loved. I can't compare it to any other home as I have no experience with them but I doubt there is a better home.

I just want to emphasize that the consideration, kindness and care she was shown was also extended to me on my visits there.

Welcome to The Lodge was very warm and put me at ease. The room was ready for me and my family able to bring personal items. Delighted with room size, decor, and cleanliness. Information given to me - details of doctors, general care, etc. All in all, this helped immensely as I was very vulnerable - leaving my home - losing independence to some extent, etc. *After 6 weeks the main course of meals is poor.

My Father came to The Lodge in January 2024. It was a very difficult time for him and the family but the staff helped him to settle in very quickly and soon built a rapport with him and ourselves. We're very happy with the service he and we have received to date and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Caldwell Grange to others.
