Woodbury Court

from Michelle F (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 December 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our Mum has been a resident at Woodbury Court for nearly 3 months now. Mum is extremely happy here and it has given her a new lease of life. All of the staff are so attentive and really care about the residents. All of Mum's personal, health and medical needs are addressed with genuine care, which
is so important to us as her children. It has alleviated these pressures from us, we can visit and enjoy our time with Mum. Mum has been on several trips to places such as Southend and Maldon, which is having such a positive impact on her wellbeing. The communication from Neil regarding Mum's health is proactive and so helpful. Paul is such a motivated member of the team and his interactions are contagious. We highly recommend this home. Mel, Lorraine and their team are incredible people who we believe care for the residents as if they were their family. Review from Michelle and Gary (daughter and son)

Frank Foster House

from M B (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 December 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I'm writing a review having just visited my dad today who is 88 and in the early stages of dementia. He has been living at Frank Foster just over a year now. It was a big change for him, but he has settled better than we ever hoped. He is still mobile and able to get out and about, and from the moment
he arrived we were able to make his room feel very much his own - a safe, cosy haven. When too many days go by before I can visit, as happened this week, I feel worry, but consistently I find my dad comfortable, content - sometimes quite perky! Frank Foster staff are kind, friendly, courteous, patient and skilled. They work incredibly hard and look after my dad and the other residents with genuine care and the utmost respect for dignity. They have taken the time to get to know his likes and interests and make every effort to incorporate meaningful, innovative, creative activity into day-to-day life. Relatives are also involved and included as much as they ask or need to be.
Reply from Nicolas Kee Mew, Home Manager at Frank Foster House

Our dad was at Heron Court for nearly 3 years. Can only say how grateful we were for his care. They also really looked after mum when she visited dad. The staff were wonderful from start to finish. Highly recommend.

My father has been a resident of Humfrey Lodge for a year and has been very well looked after.
The home is always clean and tidy and very welcoming and all the staff do a very good job.
A recent medical emergency with my father was handled in a caring and professional manner.

Just a short note to express our gratitude to all the staff that were involved in taking our Mum for a walk/ramble. Having seen the video posted on social media, it gives the family so much pleasure in seeing our mum enjoying herself and joining in with others. She can be reticent in getting involved
is such activities but due to the efforts of the excellent staff at Windle Court she is getting more involved in such activities.

I chose Redbond Lodge seven years ago for my Father to move in. He was starting to suffer from Dementia at that time. Over the whole time of his stay the Redbond team have been exceptional. Despite his challenges they were able to keep my Father safe, well looked after, general cared for in all his
needs. The fact that whenever I visited the staff knew all about him, what he had been doing, what he had eaten and drank, without asking a colleague showed they were really interested in him. That is what we all want for our vulnerable relatives, care we can trust.

My partner was in Redbond Lodge Dunmow for nearly two years with dementia. During that time he had such good appropriate and caring attention. When I visited which was on a regular basis I was made to feel "one of the family" and enjoyed visits as such. All the staff worked so well together and everybody
was accessible to me at all times and I appeared to be no trouble to them. As he slowly deteriorated his extra needs were sensitively attended to and at his end such time care and attention was given to him and to me by all the staff and his surroundings were made so appropriate for our needs at the time. Time and help was also made available to me after he had died and this meant so much to me .

My father is at Blackthorns having arrived straight from a hospital. He has complex needs and I feel supported and staff take time to listen.
The manager has always been available to talk through concerns when needed.
Staff will give me updates of my fathers day when I see them during my visits.
The
home is clean.
Patient's needs appear to be met efficiently.
Staff seem to have experience and have worked at the home for a period of time rather than being agency temporary staff.
My father has rapidly been seen by a GP and paramedics when needed.
The home is calm and usually quiet.
I feel that most staff treat patients with the upmost dignity and respect.
My visits are always unplanned and my father is dressed and clean.

My 97 mum was in Rebond Lodge from January 2025 until September when she passed away. Mum had quite a few health challenges,
falls, broken bones and progressive dementia. Racquel, the care home manager was welcoming from day one and was always available to talk about mums constant changing needs and
responded positively to ensuring her care plan met with the new developments. The quality of care was very good and most did their upmost to make mum feel loved and cared for. The food was somewhat basic, but there was always plenty of meals, snacks and drinks during the day. The level of cleaning was always very good, in the rooms as well as around the general areas. The activities co-ordinator worked tirelessly too.
I would like to say how much I appreciate the level of care mum received in her final week, there was two amazing people with her when she passed away and they treated her with such kindness, dignity and respect. It was so reassuring for us as a family.

Our Dad was in Windle Court for 2 and a half years. Transition was easy. The Staff cared for our Dad very well and made his life there very happy. The Staff are very caring and are so lovely. The Staff did so much for our Dad. He loved music, and they used to dance with him. Communication was very
good to. Any problems, they would call to keep me informed. Our father passed away in the home, and I can't thank the staff enough for what they did for him and us. I would definitely recommend this home to others. They made our dad very happy.

Very impressed with Park View. On my recent visit, the management team were immediately available to answer my questions regarding my brother's care, and they can be relied upon to be absolutely honest in their responses. My brother is well groomed, well dressed, clean and comfortable, and treated with
the utmost respect by all. He was referred to by name at every turn, and any assistance he required was provided immediately. He most certainly is in the very best place to receive the care he needs, which is delivered to him by a first-class team.

My mother has been a resident at Redbond Lodge for five months and I have been very impressed by the care, compassion and friendliness displayed to me, family, friends, and most importantly to my mother directly. The team are helpful, responsive and really do seem to care, and this is displayed in the
little touches and interactions with my mother that happen spontaneously. My mother needs full personal care and she always looks nice, with clean clothes and well groomed, and is encouraged to participate in the busy calendar of activities on offer - there is always something happening and the team often hold parties and group events to bring the residents together; look at Facebook! Someone is always on hand to help or answer questions which is reassuring when going through a big life change which can be emotional and stressful for everyone. Whenever I speak about Redbond Lodge I always get positive feedback from others and the home and team have a good reputation locally.
