My wife has been in care at Bennett Lodge for nine months now, and I cannot fault the care and attention she is offered by all the staff. In particular, praise must go to the manager and deputy who have shown nothing but praise and kindness to my wife (who can often be found in their office eating sweets or her lunch). The home is meticulously clean and tidy, with attention to detail always in mind. Thank you all for looking after my wife at this sad time in her life
Thank you so much for your kind words, it has been our pleasure. We will be sure to feed your review back to the team.
The residents have their own personal space in their rooms which is cleaned of high standard.
Early days for our mum yet but hope she settled in like all the other residents.
My mother is a new resident of only a few weeks. I am very happy with the care she is being shown. Staff have been very helpful with any questions I may have and always have time to talk to me. I have always found the place to be very clean.
I have visited a number of homes over the years and I must say Bennett Lodge is one of the best.I have purposely come at various times and days of the month to visit a friend and without exception Bennett Lodge did not fail. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The place it light and warm and very clean. The paintwork, toilets and rooms have been kept to a high standard .It is a pleasure to visit my friend in Bennett Lodge and we'll done to the whole staff.Keep up this high standard.
Over 5 weeks ago I reported water damage in the top of his window and a water mark on the ceiling . I went there today and my brother's bed has been moved as water had leaked onto it . I asked one of the assistant what was happening and she said she thinks they were sorting out the roof . I would like to know why they are looking at the roof when my brothers room is on the ground floor and there is a room above it . When he was first admitted there his room was flooded because of the water from above was coming out of his toilet .
Thank you for your feedback, and for bringing your concerns to our attention. Were truly sorry for any confusion or distress caused regarding the water damage in your brothers room. Following our recent conversation, were glad we had the opportunity to clarify the situation and reassure you about...
All the staff were so lovely and helpful, really good atmosphere. Room was immaculate and homely. Meals were really good. The garden was enjoyable, and loved the music and dancing. I was happy and well looked after at Bennett Lodge and would recommend this care home.
Thank you so much for your kind words, this will be relayed back to the team. We look forward to welcoming you back at our home.
I find the staff friendly and hard working and caring. I think that my wife is very well looked after and I never have had any cause for complaint.
Activities are always being arranged to keep the residents' minds active. When he first moved in, all he wanted was to go home, now the only mention of going home is for rest as the staff are wearing him out.
At 96, we know we are on borrowed time but as a family, we feel his quality of life has greatly improved over the last few months.
Thank you for your lovely comments, I will be sure to pass this on to the rest of the team.
My mum has been at Bennett Lodge for over two and a half years and is now 95 years old. At the start, my sister and I were happy with our mum's care as she settled into her new home. Now we are not just happy, we are in awe of the care our mum receives. She is happy most of the time but with her advancing dementia she has her moments but the staff know how to bring her around and are patient and caring. All her needs are catered for and they make my sister and I welcome when we visit and will always answer any questions we have.
Thank you for your lovely review. I am pleased we are meeting your expectations. I will pass this on to the rest of the team.
My mum was in Bennett Lodge for just over four weeks and the standard of loving care she received was above and beyond what I expected. The staff worked tirelessly to make her comfortable and was always accommodating when we turned up to visit. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, I will pass this on to the rest of the team. It was a pleasure to care for your mum.
The staff goes out of their way to make sure the residents receive the best care and attention. If Mum has needed any medical attention, this has been acted on promptly and efficiently. There is a doctor and nurse who visit regularly, which takes away the pressure and frustration of trying to book appointments that we had before Mum became a resident.
The home is always kept clean, fresh, and very tidy.
I'm quite often at the home and get to see how caring and loving the staff are.
Mum is happy and enjoys taking part in the many activities. I was lucky to go with Mum on a trip recently and it was a lovely day. It was very well organised.
The ladies have pamper days and regularly get manicures. The hairdresser also visits weekly.
Mum enjoys the lovely meals that are prepared and looks forward to them.
It gives me peace of mind to know that my Mum is happy, safe and well cared for.
Thank you to all the staff.
My father was here twice. Since the change of management in 2023, the home has become a lovely, caring environment. The staff genuinely care and do their best by the residents. My father had the opportunity to participate in activities and day trips and was well cared for. Thought was put into his needs and his room/facilities were adjusted to meet these. Staff were always happy to answer questions. Medical attention was sought quickly when needed. My father settled in well and had a good relationship with his carer. Thank you for taking care of him and for your support.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, this will be passed on to the rest of the team.
My mum has settled into Bennett Lodge with a smile on her face. Several times she has mentioned what a lovely hotel she is staying in. We've been so impressed with the way the staff have included everyone in the activities, regardless of their capabilities. We are really happy with the level of care and can relax as a family as her needs are being met.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, I am happy we are meeting your mum's needs and our aim is to ensure she is happy and well cared for. I will pass your feedback on to the rest of the team.
My mother really loves living at Bennett Lodge. Since her arrival in September 2023, she has been much happier and content and enjoys the interaction with staff and residents. She participates in the majority of activities provided daily and this has much improved her engagement with people and life in general. The staff are very helpful, friendly, hardworking and patient. The home is always clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. I highly recommend it, it's exceeded my family's expectations.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. I will pass this on to the rest of the team! I am happy we are exceeding your expectations and you feel reassured Mum is being looked after.
Having visited my mother-in-law for the first time in her new care home, I knew we had made the right decision for her. The accommodation and staff are excellent with a feeling of staying at a five-star hotel but the staff make it feel like it's your family home.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. I will be sure to pass this on to the rest of the team.
I cannot fault anything about the home, it is spotlessly clean and the staff and management are very friendly and approachable.
All of the residents seem content and we are all happy with the level of care my mother is receiving.
In November 2018 my step mum became a resident of Bennett Lodge, she soon settled in and was able to walk about freely with security codes on exits to ensure safety. Staff built up a rapport with her and she knew how to placate her when she said she'd misplaced her car! The staff were very caring. The home was clean and nice and fresh. She was content and very well cared for. She had loving care all the way through.
Very friendly and helpful staff, always observant of residents' needs.
Bennett Lodge is a lovely and friendly care home. The staff are very kind and hands-on. I have peace of mind that Mum is well looked after and her needs are met.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are pleased to hear you are happy with your mum’s care and that we are meeting her needs.
Having experienced three previous visits to Bennett Lodge, I am happy to return again. Each time I was welcomed with open arms by management and staff. I found my room although rather small quite adequate. I am on a special diet again and was obliged. I will be pleased to see management and staff once again should I be able to return.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are pleased to hear that we are meeting your expectations and hope to see you again!

It feels so rewarding to know that my work is making a positive impact on their lives. At Bennett Lodge, we’re like one big family, and it’s this sense of community that keeps me motivated.
My greatest achievement has been becoming the housekeeper, and I take pride in ensuring our residents feel comfortable and cared for. A fun fact about me is that I enjoy archery! When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family, going on holidays, and indulging my artistic side through decorating.

My name is Helen Nicholls. I am the Administrator at Bennett's Lodge, and I truly enjoy my job because every day brings something new and different. A fun fact about me: After waiting years to become a grandparent, within just 15 months, I now have 1 grandson and 3 granddaughters. While I don’t have time for hobbies these days, my grandchildren keep me happily busy!

I'm Goksem Kiamil I am a Care Team Leader at Bennett Lodge.
I have worked at Bennett Lodge for over three and a half years. What I enjoy most about my role is that every day presents a new challenge. I enjoy my job because every day brings a variety of tasks, keeping things interesting. A fun fact about me is that I drive a 2006 Mercedes. In my free time, I love playing golf, going on holidays, and enjoying a good glass of red wine.

I'm Jill Hunt. I am the Deputy Manager at Bennett Lodge Care Home.
I’m Jill Hunt, Deputy Manager at Bennett Lodge Care Home, where I’ve worked for Runwood Homes for 9 years. What I love most about my job is making a difference in the lives of our residents and ensuring their overall well-being. I’m passionate about getting to know each resident personally, as I believe this is essential for delivering person-centred care.
I’ve earned a Dementia Care Certificate and am a PCS Superuser, and I’m currently working towards completing my NVQ Level 4.
A fun fact about me is that you’ll hear me before you see me! Outside of work, I love going on holiday, listening to music, and spending time with my family.

I’ve been part of the team for three years, and it’s been a truly rewarding journey. I first joined as a carer, supporting residents with their everyday needs, before moving into my current role, where I now have the joy of creating meaningful experiences and activities that bring smiles to those around me.
